just saw a relationship tag where the characters are separated by a tilde instead of a slash or ampersand to denote a qpr and god i wish that could be a canonical thing
#tre yells into the void#ao3#finding qpr fics is always a little weird#'cos people have to choose between tagging slash or ampersand or just using both#meanwhile the only canonical qpr relationship tags are freeform and formatted as “queerplatonic x/y”#and like. i know it'd make things complicated and despite how freely you can tag on ao3 it does still have its limitations#(see also the category section's inadequacy for polycules and non-binary characters and such)#and also yeah qpr fics are waaaaaay less common than platonic and romantic ones. ikik#but.#I STILL WISH.#imagine being able to tag specifically for “these characters are enemies” too sdhkf#'cos positive and negative non-romantic relationships are all just kinda lumped in with the ampersand rn#like. idk i'm just rambling now lmao#but wouldn't it be niceeeeeeee
