Geist Clan Bloodfiends AU: The Clan of Geist
The Geist Clan of Bloodfiends are a peculiar fixture among their own kind, even stranger then the 1st Kindred of the Quixote, and actively seek alternative means to their Thirst to the point of self destruction and insanity.
It wasn't uncommon to spot them in their past hunting down the monsters that plagued humanity and devouring them whole, hoping that the blood of the beasts and the flesh would sate their need for a significant period of time, and actively hunting down Families that had gone beyond the pale and begun to gorge themselves on the Blood of Humans to excess. Thus the Geist Clan became seen as traitors and betrayers by a majority of the Bloodfiend Families, considered relentless hunters who'd only grow stronger the more battles they were in due to their tendency to devour those they killed leaving nothing behind but the echoes of battle, though there are some Families who miss the days the Geist's would hunt the lands for those who grew too foolish or had never been taught the Ways of the Bloodfiend.

The Founder of the Clan, The First Kindred of the Geists, was a sickly woman whose transformation had done little for her health and had in fact cursed her line with an additional Plague that would become one of their strongest weapons and one of their greatest weaknesses, any blood they took into their body would slowly poison them as it became more and more toxic over time until they forced it outside of their body in any way possible which led to many of their Hardblood Arts requiring them to bleed themselves nearly dry.
One of her very first 'Children' would be found not long after her transformation, a battlefield she would come across where the carrion birds lay thick upon the dead and dying picking and tearing at their flesh and organs, she would find a monster of a man who looked like he could crush a boulder with one hand. He had been gutted, stabbed through with multiple spears, and left to die in a disgraceful manner... and yet he had lived long enough to try and slay Lady Geist upon her approach, the sickly woman soon offering him the chance to continue living if he was willing to become her Child...
This would be the birth of the line of Movark the Mountain, a Second Kindred who would emphasize among those of his Bloodline that while strength can guide you and aid you in battle it shouldn't rule you like it once did him, and the two would journey together for a time until she saw how her Child was suffering and seeming to wither much like how she once did in her youth. She would grow panicked and would tear through what little knowledge she had gained on their shared affliction, unknowing of how her child would disappear that night and return with the sun's rise carrying the broken and drained remains of a hulking monstrosity across his shoulders upon which he had drank his fill and his illness seemed to fade away for a period of time, which led to the Beast Hunts she would instate among her Followers.

The two would continue wandering the World, gathering Followers as they went with Mother Geist converting many into her Children and binding them to her will if they gave her their consent only after she informed them of the suffering that would await them as a Bloodfiend of the Bloodline of the Geist (which still confuses many families, who's First Kindred Leaders aren't able to do what Mother Geist had the capacity of, with them being restricted much like those of lower rank and being only able to convert two humans into Bloodfiends. It is theorized by some, in exchange for the disease that turns the blood within their body be it man or beast against them and gradually but constantly withers them the Origin of all Bloodfiends allowed her the ability to constantly replenish her Line.) Movark learned after he had created two Children of his own, two fellow warriors he had found much like his Mother had found him dying unceremoniously on some forgotten battlefield and left to be picked over by the carrion birds or those who sought to make coin from stealing from the dead, that he was restricted in his Descendants unlike Mother Geist to solely those two of the Third Rank among the Clan.
The two he had chosen, two unnamed and unloved orphans who he had granted the names of John and Jane, would soon become his students and his children in more ways then the bonds of the Bloodfiend could describe and would follow in his path of only devouring the blood of monsters and those of their own kind who broke their Kind's Laws. John would endeavor to master all of the Hardblood Arts once he had been turned, including questioning those captured by the Clan about their own Families Hardblood Arts, trying to make sure he could defend his family with all he had.
Jane would follow Mother Geist around during their shared journey, learning of how to lead and administrate their Clan, focusing on the mental path compared to her brother's more physical path...
- (Time Jump)
John would lead a small contingent of Guardians to La-Mancha Land after the Clan had learned of it, wishing his Sister and Father well (and unknowingly the last time he would see them for the next two hundred years) as he decided to investigate this mad plan of the Lord of the Quixote Family. He would soon be convinced to lend his and his subordinates to the Park as Guards and Executioners for any who broke the Laws set forth by Lord Quixote, but they would soon begin to suffer from their shared illness until John would send his subordinates back to the Clan one by one until he was all that was left and surviving off of the dregs of Blood extracted from the Fool's who attempted to attack the humans under his protection.
When La-Mancha Land was sealed away, the last glimpse any loyal to the Geist's saw of John Geist was him wielding his preferred Beastgutter Hardblood Halberd and slaughtering any who tried to pass him to attack the fleeing humans, and that was the last glimpse that would be had for the next two hundred years...
And so the Geists would continue on, missing their beloved son but unwilling to go mad over the loss, and they would grow and change with the City... ditching their campsites for Apartment Buildings within the City, Fixer Office's instead of Hunting Patrols, their more primitive form of dress abandoned for armored suits and clothing made by Workshops, their weapons changing and advancing...
