so far my thoughts are that I cannot believe my memories understated how annoying the Knows Film guy is in this show. u will never be jamie kennedy
rewatching the scream tv series I WILL be having thoughts later
#it's also wild bc it really only has the masked killer and the knife in common like not much ties it back to the original At All#it's like if they called dead of summer friday the 13th: the tv series#anyway the pros at that 16 year old me was right the tension in this show is beautifully crafted#and they hold it WELL all the way through at least season 1#mostly I would just argue that this is not a Scream show#yes she is Good and I love her but once again u can't have scream without sidney prescott she's the whole point#anyway I think that's probably why I like the series so much better than 2022#bc it isn't trying to be 1996 at all so it can't disappoint me#meanwhile 2022 genuinely tried and sucked ass#I will have more Thoughts on the implications of using the scream name that this series did not deliver on once I finish#also thoughts on why I think this series works better as a gay revenge story with a central focus on audrey instead of emma#which is only a possible narrative if u completely divorce it FROM the implications of the scream title. but once again that is for later <3#text post#scream tv rewatch
