The first thing you woke up to on your birthday was an empty bed. When you rolled over expecting to find the warmth and comfort of your boyfriend, but instead all you found was your own slept in sheets. There was still some heat coming off the material though, so he must not have snuck out of bed that long ago. Just as you opened your mouth to try to call for him, the door to your room creaked open to reveal your boyfriend standing there in his cute Christmas pjs that matched your own, and he was holding a cake, all lit up with bright and colorful candles.

Hoseok began slowly walking towards your bed, beaming at you like the sun, “Haaaaappy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear angellllll, happy birthday to you.”

Your hands instinctively went to cover your mouth as you felt emotion start to tug at you. You weren’t sure what you had expected for today since it was your first birthday with him, but you definitely hadn’t expected this.

“Happy birthday, beautiful.” he said softly once he was standing right next to your bedside and presenting your cake to you.

You giggled like a smitten school girl and looked up at your boyfriend with misty eyes.

“Thank you so much, baby. This is so sweet.” you told him before blowing out the candles, Hoseok immediately bending down to press a sweet kiss against your temple.

“You get the two for one special today, angel. Breakfast in bed, but also cake for breakfast.”

“And what if I want my amazing, gorgeous boyfriend for breakfast?” you queried back cheekily, raising a mischievous eyebrow at him.

Hoseok chuckled and then proceeded to swipe a finger through the cake’s pretty white icing before making you gasp in surprise when he smeared it across your nose.

“Hobi!”

“Why don’t we just start with the cake first, greedy girl.” he retorted, a teasing smirk on his lips.
