🙏 what's your thoughts on Jamie, the rival
*slaps hands on table* I FUCKING LOVE JAMIE!!! I love Jamie, they are an absolute gnc icon, they have that non-human swag. An icon for the gays 🙏
I love Jamie, they're such a fun mechanic of a rival farmer to compete against! Like, a rival whos a smug jerk and has every reason to brag with a successful ranch. Jamie is such a unique character as canonically, they're not human! Like, it's so cool omg I love them aahfhgghghvj
I really really love the fact that the reason why Jamie was unable to save the Harvest Goddess was because they couldn't connect with people. If Marvelous makes me the headwriter for a Magical Melody remake If these games ever get a remake, I would DIE for a Jamie arc of them learning how to connect to people, how to truly learn to love the people of Flowerbud, how to let their guard down and allow themselves to be vulnerable.
I really hope for a Magical Melody remake, we can get an actual married life with Jamie and for Jamie to be a canonical non-binary/gender-fluid character <3
Now to indulge in some headcanons~
-Jamie isn't human, they're a deity like the Harvest Goddess. However, they don't actually have any powers of their own. This really frustrates them because they feel defected and inferior in comparison to her.
-They have a huge ego in order to overcompensate for the fact they aren't magical like the Harvest Goddess, Jamie sees themselves as superior than the people of Flowerbud and is pretty smug. Most villagers are annoyed and dislike Jamie because of that
-Jamie's Ranch is the reason why the village is still here, it's the sole backbone of the community. They think them keeping the village alive is a 'good enough' reason to be liked and is pretty confused why nobody really likes them.
-They don't get along with anyone in Flowerbud; they default to petty jabs, blowing them off or being downright stand-offish. But they do tolerate Ray, since they often fish together. The fisherman's vibes are cool (and hey the fish trivia is ok to listen to)
-Deep down, they truly want to be understood by people and crave connections but don't know how to open up to people. Their insecurities and self hatred manifests in pushing everybody away so they don't get hurt.
