xmas coming up i have to decide what new games to put into my nefews ds...im thinking 1 Zelda (phantom hourglass) , 1 Pokemon (pokemon platinum), 1 GBC h/rry p/tter game (unfortunately his mother is a 40+ year old mega fan. and he is now into it also), and one game of cheye's choosing, probably in the weird or quirky or life sim genre to try and keep an anchor of sanity amidst the boy mom and bigot dad upbringing 😭

You're talking about the writers who literally wrote four characters out of the supernatural plot just to make 100% of their screentime about their personal lives. I don't think you know their priorities like you think you do.

^These were both happening at the same midway point of their season arcs. They literally ignored the supernatural almost entirely in an entire plotline, so no, I don't think they're the type to deprioritize their characters which are intrinsically tied to their themes in favor of cool action sequences and only cool action sequences (also that pacing would be awful, personal plots exist for a reason: action reprieve).

Like- episode 8 cuts from them talking about the meaning of love in a car to El having just closed a gate to another dimension after seeing all of her siblings brutally tortured and killed. Bestie I do not think they care about "wasting time" on personal plots, nor do they think of it that way. Even season 2 wrote in that telling Will how important he was to them was required for the supernatural plot. They cannot exist without one another and the writers consistently move around the supernatural plot to make room for it. Just because you skip those scenes doesn't mean they don't exist. Didn't you notice how MUCH you skipped?
