5 years after the fact, I finally changed my blog theme ;A;
Itā€™s the same I used for my still-restricted citrus-ish blog that Tumblr has refused to free fromĀ ā€œh**ny jailā€ since quite a while, and Iā€™m well aware that I might change it as well if they ever free it (and, tbh, I still want to use it... even if itā€™s expli/cit because this hellsite at times...)
So, do I have a reason to change a theme?Ā
Honestly, yeah.Ā
I have been meaning to change the theme since... at best, two years ago. I have been feeling I shouldā€™ve updated it for a while to reflect myself and what I have been liking since, and I eyed a good theme, ngl... but doing all of that (dedicating time to search for a good side bar image or a background one) is sometimes tiring (because I need to find a perfect theme to please my aesthetic) and I want to focus on other stuff instead?
In fact, itā€™s searching for a good theme at all. Although I do have eyed one in particular for quite a while, I love(d) looking for other ones that clicked well with me, and it had to be a certain way and so and so.
As of lately, as time goes on, and depending a LOT on how my screen looks like, the reason I wanted to change it was for readability/accessibility.
I donā€™t know how many people strumble on my blog (in desktop, mind you) as of lately, tbh. I havenā€™t done too much around due to lots of stuff going on, either. But, looking back, I regret (partly) choosing the one I did because of the font size, lol. Or the way I chose those colors (I love the combination, and even so, I have been complaining a long while WHY I donā€™t like when some ppl edit some pics to very pastel colors that I can barely see on the screen - and yet, my blogā€™s theme was likeĀ ā€œam I a joke to you?ā€) And, oh god, my eyes kinda hurt at times when I look at it.
Iā€™m not saying I have been 100% finished in tweaking the customization options of the new one as of yet, but thatā€™s... clearly a good advance. Sure.
I was sold to the fact I CAN choose the font (as long as backed up by Google Fonts?, some old good basics in web designing that I learned -despite me being bad with coding this is stuff I appreciate, so kudos to the designer!) and the SIZE.
