“Well, it’s not something I particularly like to do in front of people,” Hellion said with a watery laugh. There’s no one particular thing that sparked this, just the weight of a lot of little things building up. She was certain she was alone- she really didn’t like crying in front of others. 

But since Donnie was here…

“Come here, kiddo,” she said, wiping her eyes and holding out her arms. “I could use a hug.”
