thinking about the parallels between Riko and Jeremy 👀. like we don’t know Jeremy’s full backstory yet, but clearly he has a family that doesn’t love/respect him (and who he doesn’t share a last name with? Knox/Wilshire?) and obviously we know Riko whose father doesn’t care about him, whose uncle abuses him, and whose brother kills him. and then where Riko continues the cycle of abuse, Jeremy tries to stop it.

and the way that Jeremy is the person to tell Jean that Riko is dead. marking the transition between Jean’s old captain/partner and his new captain/partner who tries to be the opposite of Riko

until all he saw was Jeremy!!
