All Gravi needed was to sign some papers, something about the news swinging by Arroz. That was it. He didn’t even change out of his work clothes, backwards cap and all. He had to pick up Sofi’s from Mal’s to drop her at Lucifer’s for her lesson. On top of that it was the lunch rush. 

“C’mon.” he pressed the down arrow on the lift again, considering just bolting down a ridiculous amount of stairs when the doors opened. He nodded politely at the stranger next to him before pressing the button for the lobby. So all was well.

Until the elevator stopped moving.

“...Oh, fuck me.” Pressing the lobby button again then again to no avail. “Not now.” He’d have to call Mal. “M -- I’m stuck in a lift Zorro, where’s Mal? Well when he gets out, I have to ask you guys a favor -- Yes, hi princesa, let me talk to Peypey for a minute, please? --  Listen, I know Malachi hates him but Sofi needs to dropped off for -- Peyton? Hello?”

Pulling the phone away from his ear he stared that the lack of bars at the top of his screen; the call had dropped. His sigh was heavy, pushing the cap off and combing frustrated fingers through his curls.

“...I’m guessing you aren’t gettin’ any service either?”
