“May there always be happiness and prosperity in the house!” This is the significant meaning of adding Shubh Labh to the house. Not just for the festive season, you can embellish them on your front door all year round. This decor is also popular with Swastika.
If you are looking for the most impressive and thoughtful DIY Diwali decoration ideas, then adorn the traditional MDF Shubh Labh cutout. Here, we have drafted an exciting method to DIY Subh Labh for wall decor. Moreover, we will also discuss how to enrich the walls with complementary products.
How to Decorate the Shubh Labh cutouts?
Let us create an easy and elegant Shubh labh decor that you can pair with any Diwali MDF cutouts.
Materials to take:
For MDF Shubh labh:
MDF Shubh Labh cutout- Size 5”
Gesso
Acrylic color (crimson red and golden)
Varnish
Sponge
For base:
Yellow and red glitter Foam sheet
Thread
Glue gun
Jute string
Scissor
White medium size pearls
Red large pearls. (you can take any size of your choice just make sure that white pearl should be smaller than red)
Step by Step process:
1) Make the base for Shubh Labh
Get the red and yellow glitter foam sheet. Cut the two red sheet in 10*10 size and two yellow sheet in the 8*8* size. The red sheet is 2 inches longer than the yellow foam sheet because we're making a homemade shubh labh that's 5 inches in diameter.
Make sure to maintain a gap of two to three inches for the base and MDF cutouts.
2) Paint the MDF Shubh Labh cutout
Prime the MDF shubh labh thoroughly with gesso primer. Paint the base with red acrylic paint. Rub the base thoroughly with a thin line brush to fill in the fine details. Once the base is set properly, use the sponge to tap the golden color onto it.
3) Varnish the cutout
Let the color dry completely. Now, varnish the base with decor varnish. This will give your MDF cutout a glossy finish, and the golden color will transform the entire look of decor.
4) Add the values to the base
Attach the yellow foam sheet to the red form sheet using a glue gun. Create two similar pairs. Now, rotate the sheets in a diamond shape. Stick the MDF shubh on one foam sheet and MDF Labh on the other foam sheet.
Now, fix the white pearl with the help of a glue gun on the four corners of the yellow foam sheet.
5) Now make the beautiful hanging strings
Take the thread and string the red and yellow pearls together (one white-one red-six white). Make four such pearl strings. Now, fix the two strings on the MDF Shubh foam sheet and the two strings on the MDF Labh foam sheet.
Note: Instead of pearl strings, you can also use the pompom hanging or Diwali MDF cutouts for the festive season.
6) Make it ready to hang
Now, cut the two jute threads with the help of a scissor. Fix it beneath the foam sheet with the help of a glue gun. Your crafty MDF Shubh Labh hanging is ready to adorn your walls
Where to decorate the Subh Labh in Home?
In Hinduism, people believe to decorate the entrance of the home or shops with shubh labh and swastik designs. You can put the Om MDF design wall hanging or MDF Swastik cutout in the center of the Shubh Labh decoration. Moreover, you can also place the image of Lakshmi on the right side or in the north-east corner of the shubh labh. It offers luck and prosperity to your house.
If you are planning to adorn the shop, you can incorporate auspicious symbols like a MDF swastik cutouts, Shubh-Labh engraved on the kalash and om designs on the entrance wall.

Wooden t-light holders, LED bottle lights, and premarked MDF t-light holders are all part of the DIY t-light holder for Diwali decorations.
You should pick up a ready-to-install t-light base like cork LED lights as a decorative accessory for Diwali, as the festival is associated with the lighting of candles.
Warning: Keep all flammables away from children.
