Music blasted through the walls of your house as you made your way to the bathroom. It only seemed to grow louder as you stripped naked and stepped into the shower, turning the water on, hoping it would at least muffle the sound of the party downstairs.

Being a university student wasn’t easy, you had realized that as soon as your first trimester ended. Having to share a house with two very sociable active friends also didn’t help your case. Lisa and Paula were always throwing parties at your house, and while you didn’t mind at the beginning, now you were starting to feel the effects of having to endure loud music bouncing through your walls practically every weekend.

Realizing the water did nothing to ease the sounds, you gave up on trying to have a calm and peaceful shower, washing your body as quickly as possible, just wanting to get it over with and get back to your room, where the music wasn’t so loud.

Turning the water off, you heard the sound of the bathroom door opening, “Lis?” You asked, expecting to hear your friend’s voice back since you knew she didn’t like to use the downstairs bathroom, but what followed was not quite as you expected. “Oh, shit! Sorry, I didn’t know you were in there.” A masculine voice said, making you quickly cover your body with a towel, even though the shower curtain already did the job for you.

“What are you doing here?” You loudly asked, “I had to use the bathroom.” The voice let it out, making you roll your eyes, “Yeah, that’s why there’s one downstairs.” You stated, still hiding behind the curtain. “There’s literally one hundred people in line to use it.” He shot back, already getting into your nerves. “Well, you shouldn’t have come up here.” You scolded, “Yeah, I already got that! Sorry, I’ll just…”

At that, you heard the person jiggling the doorknob, “Hey, uhm, the door isn’t opening…” He trailed off, “Shit! Did you lock it?” You asked, your eyes widening in fear, “What kind of question is that? Of course, I locked, in fact, if you had done that we wouldn’t be here.” The intruder exclaimed, “The lock is broken, you idiot, that’s why I didn’t lock it in the first place.” You said, stepping out of the shower, making a beeline to the door. “It makes sense!” He let it out, scratching the back of his neck.

For the next few minutes, you tried everything to make the lock work but it was to no avail, it was completely stuck in place, “Great! Now I’m stuck with a stranger in the bathroom.” You murmured to yourself, finally giving up. Once you turned around, Tom was leaning against the wall, hungry eyes trailing your half naked body up and down. “Don’t look at me!” You warned, cursing yourself mentally for your bad habit of not bringing clothes to the bathroom when showering.

“Don’t worry darling, I’ve seen girls with much less than what you have on.” He smirked, making you roll your eyes. “I’m Tom, by the way!” The boy smiled, offering his hand for you to shake, “I know who you are,” you scoffed, not paying his extended hand any mind. “Oh well, what can I say? I have quite the reputation on campus.” He proudly stated, to which you laughed. “Yeah, you can put it like that.” You said, fighting the urge to roll your eyes yet again.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” He asked, but you just shrugged, taking your phone to text your friends to come to your rescue. “What are you doing?” Tom asked after a few seconds. “Trying to get my friends to open the door?!” You said in an obvious tone, taking your eyes off of your phone when you heard him shuffle around, before plopping himself on the floor.

“They’re not coming.” Tom stated, spreading his legs as far as the small tile covered bathroom allowed, “How do you know?” You asked, wanting to slap the stupid smirk out of his face. “They were kinda busy downstairs if you know what I mean.” Tom let it out, making very obnoxious kissing sounds. “You’re disgusting, and they are coming.” You grimaced, going back to your phone.

“Wanna bet?” Tom asked from his place on the floor. “What? No! Of course I don’t wanna bet! Also, what could you possibly get if you won?” You asked him, the lack of response from your friends starting to infuriate you. “I get to take you out on a date,” Tom exclaimed, the smirk back on his lips. “Haha! You wish, Holland!” You laughed, but internally the gears inside your head frantically turned. Why the hell did Tom Holland want to take you on a date?

“Well, if you’re so sure your friends are coming, I don’t see why you wouldn’t want to make the bet.” The brunette shrugged, making your blood boil. If there’s one thing you hated was being challenged, and at that moment, that was exactly how you felt. “Fine! But if I win you have to buy me coffee all week.” You stated, to which he nodded, “Fair enough! So, it's a bet?” He asked, extending his hand out once again, “It’s a bet!” You affirmed, shaking his hand this time, feeling your body react way too much for only a handshake.

Quickly taking your hand away, you went back to texting Lisa and Paula, but after what felt like an eternity later, which was actually only fifteen minutes, you gave up, joining Tom on the floor, careful to not expose yourself, even more, seeing as you were only covered by a towel. “Still nothing?” He asked, victory smirk proud on his lips, “Shut up!” You scolded, sighing heavily.

“So… dinner or breakfast? Oh, maybe a picnic?” Tom didn’t shut up, even though you were currently with your eyes closed, a clear sign that you didn’t want to keep talking. “Why do you want to take me on a date? You don’t even know my name.” You protested, to Tom’s amusement, “I’d know if you tell me.” He said, directing you one of his charming smiles, making you realize why so many girls fell for it. “y/n, my name’s y/n!” You breathed, before adding “And you didn’t answer my question.”

Tom repeated your name out loud a couple of times, the smirk never leaving his lips, “Why? Can’t I want to take you out?” He inquired, and you scoffed, “I mean… I bet there's a line of girls outside dying to go on a date with the Tom Holland.” You mocked, earning a chuckle from him. “What’s that? Wait, are you jealous?” He smirked, your eyes rolling to the back of your head. “As if! God, you’re so full of yourself.” You exclaimed, checking your phone for a sign of one of your friends. Nothing.

Sighing, you turned your head back to Tom, “Can’t you text one of your friends?” You inquired, feeling stupid for not asking this before. “I could!” He exclaimed, making a dramatic pause before adding, “That doesn’t mean they’d come though.” You furrowed your brows, “Why?” You asked, to which he laughed, “You see, Harrison was kinda busy with your little blonde friend downstairs.” Tom explained, once again making those obnoxious kissing sounds.

“Fuck off, really?” You said, surprised with the new information, and Tom nodded. “What about the other?” You asked, knowing he was always with, at least, another two guys. “Eric was busy with Paula.” He stated, to your complete and utter shock. “Shut up! My two friends with your two friends?” You squeaked, Tom once again nodding, “There’s only one thing left to do now.” Tom smirked, leaning closer to you, making you push him away, “Ha! You wish, Holland!”

Tom only laughed, dismissing you constantly turning him down, “Now c’mon, what do you do in your free time?” He asked, trying to light up the mood a little bit and get to know you better. “Oh, you mean when I’m not locked in the bathroom with a random guy?” You joked, “It’s that common?” Tom smirked, “You’d be surprised.” You winked, and soon your laughs filled the small room.

“Hey, what’s that on your face?” Tom furrowed his brow, “What?” You questioned, touching your face in search of anything he might have seen. “It's that a smile?” The brunette exclaimed, a proud smirk on his lips, “Ha-ha! Fuck you, Holland!” You rolled your eyes, beyond annoyed at his little attempt of a joke. “Nah, I’d rather fuck…” He started before you shot him a glare, “Do not finish that sentence!” You warned, watching as he pretended to lock his mouth and throw away the key.

Shaking your head, you laughed, “Seriously though, I never see you at parties.” Tom asked after a couple of minutes, “I go to parties…” you protested, but the brunette quickly shot you a look that said you were lying. “Okay, I went to one party.” You admitted, rolling your eyes at him. “That’s more like it.” He smirked.

“I just don’t like to, I prefer to stay at home and watch a show on tv while I eat takeout and chocolate fudge ice cream.” You shrugged, “That’s quite specific…” Tom laughed, “Oh, and it has to be the chunky one.” You added, making him laugh even harder. “Well, maybe we can go for ice cream then,” Tom offered, and to your surprise, you didn’t seem to hate the idea of going out with him that bad anymore.

Just as you were about to answer him, you heard the doorknob jingling, before Lisa and Paula’s faces came into view. “Hey, sorry! I just got your text.” Your friend mumbled, before realizing you weren’t alone, shooting you knowing looks. “Oh, don’t worry! We’ve been here for what? An hour?” You exclaimed, hurriedly getting on your feet. Tom followed your movements and after what felt like minutes of the three of you staring at each other, you took the first step, finally getting out of the bathroom.

“I’m gonna go get dressed now but, uhm, it was nice to meet you, Tom.” You said, beckoning away from them. “Likewise! And hey, I’ll get you tomorrow at 8.” He stated, making you furrow your brow, “Why? They came, I clearly won the bet.” You exclaimed as you watched him head for the stairs, “They took too long though, so I’m still taking you out.” Tom shot you a wink, before disappearing down the stairs, leaving you standing in front of your bedroom door, stunned at his cockiness.

Once you turned to your friends, they were already looking at you with smirks on their lips and the same curious expression from before, “Got nothing to say?” Paula asked, wiggling her eyebrows. “No, I do not!” You said, to their disappointment, “And call someone to fix that damn lock.” You added, closing your bedroom door before they could catch you.
