HELLOOOOOOOOOO,, I've been in a small bit of an art block recently, adapting to new pens, new art styles,, I've been experimenting, tryna branch off from the line art less style for a little while. These are just some doodles that I've been doing to try and get myself out of that art block and use a style that feels more comfortable. ^_^

au where tim was a real person. he was kind, noble, loyal, and so strong that he DID get his team home

at least, that's what hadrian told the rest of the competitors.

in reality, tim did win the games, the only one in his team to do so. but rather than getting to go home after his winner's ceremony, hadrian had him and his team slaughtered. he couldn't have anyone beating his scheme, and he definitely couldn't have anyone else finding out that someone did. so he had their remains burned.

all except one.

tim's body (or inventory, i guess) is buried beneath his monument in the center of the competitor's village. a false sense of hope for those who enter the games

I don't know if it's canon that 'Tim's' armor is actually Mevia's, I have seen people saying it might be her armor, but I've now made it my headcanon. I can easily see Hadrian talking her into it, how funny it would be to see the competitors find hope in her armor, the way theyd worship him(her), it's not like she'd miss it, she doesn't even need it anymore, since shes sooo powerful, Tim needs to look like a winner, like someone cool and powerful, like her, how theyd frame a fake winner in a real winners clothes, and how more amusing the games would be any time one of those poor fools put their hope in her (her) caricature.

i didn’t get to drawing them, but petra would be melanie, idk who basira and daisy would be tho. maybe if they were more unhinged they could be ivor?? idrk i think his personality would fit an avatar better (he’s sooo the eye coded it’s crazy)

no idea who elias would be either, maybe romeo?? but that could just be because they’re both antagonists, romeo is a lot more outwardly unhinged too

Can I just say that I hate Tim's Armour with a passion? Yes? Cool.

Like, don't get me wrong, the colours are magnificent. It really gives off regal and godly vibes, really reflecting how Tim was viewed as almost like a god by the competitors in The Games. It really does give off "this armour belonged to a legend". And then when Jesse gets the armour, it really makes them stand out as the hero of the story, like they were destined to get the armour to fulfil their destiny as a legend.

But for me that's the only thing it has going for it.

From a drawing perspective (yes this is the main reason why I hate it), it has so many little details that make it stand out, and to capture that in a design is hard. I have seen a lot of amazing designs for the armour that absolutely make the armour look brilliant on Jesse (and I tip my hat to those artists and I love your work), but for me it's just so goddamn tedious. Like, yeah the armour you get from Ivor can have some intricate designs (my personal favourite being Shield of Infinity), but there's something about Tim's Armour that almost forces you to make a god/legend-like design. You just couldn't get away with having a simple design for that armour, while Ivor's armours you can.

Alternately, I don't think Tim's Armour is an armour that Jesse would willingly put on again. Of course, having the armour in the final fight against Hadrian and Mevia is brilliant and I do love it, but other than that there really is no point, and there are a few points of reason to look to.

It's heavy. As soon as you put the armour on in Episode 8, you can hear it clicking and shifting with Jesse's movements. No other armour in either games does this except Tim's Armour, most likely aiming to indicate that this armour is drastically different. Of course after that episode the armour doesn't make the noises, but it's clearly important enough to include the noises in the first place.

The height. Listen, Tim's legend stated that he was 3 blocks tall, and while Tim wasn't real, the Old Builders would have likely made the armour to suit the legend, which would mean that the armour would be tall. And lets face it, Jesse is not tall.

The attachment. This armour was created by the Old Builders to uphold a legend. While this legend didn't exist, this legend and armour still upheld the hopes and dreams of those that heard of it. It was a symbol of hope to the competitors in The Games, but outside of the games, it was just a cool armour towards anyone else. There's a certain level of attachment to it, and I don't think Jesse would parade around an armour with such value. Of course, that could be my opinion, but armour of such high value in terms of meaning shouldn't really be taken into battle.

I would also like to comment on the durability (while not a main point to look at I would still like to comment), but we don't know how durable Tim's Armour really is. I mean, Ivor's armours you can trust cause the man is literally an alchemist that specialises in enchanting. The Old Builders though? We don't actually know if they even considered enchanting Tim's Armour, let alone what materials it's made out of. Sure, it's safe to assume that the armour is incredibly durable, but there's always the possibility that Hadrian chose to just make it look durable when in reality it's probably made of quartz.

Just saying, but you never know.

I would just like to specify that this is my personal opinion. I know a lot of people like Tim's Armour. I'm fully aware that I'm probably the one person that doesn't like the armour, and I'm just honestly voice my observations and thoughts.

Don't get me wrong, Tim's Armour is cool, I just have a personally vendetta against it and I have no idea where it sparked from.

Please do not take this seriously. I'm just putting it up for discussion.

i need to yap about my headcanon for romeo and cassie because they are the siblings ever to me

romeo and cassie, four years apart in age were adopted by the old builders, but mostly raised under hadrian in his mansion. now i know that eric stirpe's concept for romeo was that he was a fake warrior archetype, but i love the idea of him actually being a fighter to further symbolize him being a foil character to both petra and jack. so, he grew up fighting in the games trained by tim (he's real in my heart) while cassie was on the sidelines. she wasn't made for violence like romeo was, which makes her canon predicament hit even harder

as children, they were close. whether romeo was fighting with tim on his team or by himself as he got older, he always thanked cassie every time he won. because back then, it was possible to win, but as hadrian's kid, the games were rigged in romeo's favor. the older they got, though, the more hadrian tore them apart. he tried to get cassie to be stronger, putting her under the watchful eye of mevia, but she was never as strong as romeo. she grew bitter, resentful

it all came to a head one night. cassie was ten, romeo was fourteen. cassie overheard commotion coming from tim's room. she rushed in to see tim, bleeding out, hadrian standing above him with a sword dripping blood. hadrian makes her swear to keep quiet, keeping romeo as hadrian's obedient pet, and cassie realizes that she needs to leave

cassie, thanks to harper, finds a way into the portal hall, where she's stopped in her tracks by the old builders and romeo. hadrian makes romeo fight his sister. he doesn't mean to hurt her, he really doesn't. he loves her, but not enough to stop himself from pushing her into the portal into the two moons world, which closes after she gets pulled in

the scream he lets out still reverberates in otto's mind

romeo runs away too, days later, after realizing what had happened. before the village was just for competitors, it was for everyone wanting to casually play in the games and their families. he'd made friends with a village boy named fred, as well as a girl with seemingly no home and no family, xara. together, the three of them run, finding a portal and making that world their home. it was a small world, but it would grow with time and their eventual admin powers. but for them, it was perfect

years later, an older, jaded, human romeo ventures through the portal hall to find his sister. whether he finds her or her remains is up to interpretation
