Am I the only one who thinks it was a missed opportunity to have Lukas's old design show up in this scene instead of the fancy guy? I know there's probably a reason they didn't go that route and it's still funny either way but I like the idea that they thought he was Lukas due to their similarities and he just went with it, not really knowing what's happening, only for Jesse to immediately shove him back through the portal

So I was watching the trailer for Minecraft storymode as this game has taken over my life and I noticed something weird about it. Specifically in this part.

Did you see it?

Is that the butcher that tried to kill Reuben? And I think I can see the other Ocelots? I'm not sure. I think I can see three figures following behind us. Or is it two? I can't quite make it out.

Wait no, that's definitely the butcher, and Maya, and I think Aiden? In the portal room? Gill's not here though so maybe there was just two figures.

Wait now it's just Maya and the butcher. Aidens gone.

Now it's just her. Just Maya. In the nether. Maya. In the nether. Was Maya supposed to originally survive the witherstorm attack and go through the game with us?

This trailer came out on July 4th of 2015. The game came out on the 13th of October that very same year. It wasn't a lot of time between this trailer and the games release. If this is true then that is a lot of content that telltale would have cut in a small amount of time. But I think it might be accurate? I think maybe she was meant to survive originally.

Here, in game the butcher is actually with us while we are running to the fortress.

And here we have Aiden and I think that's Gill on the left of Petra but I'm not too sure.

And yeah, that's definitely Maya.

They are all with us while we are running

And then they're just gone.

So all of these people are with us until we actually get into the fortress where they just disappear. I have always found it weird how the ocelots are with us but then they just vanish. Maybe they were all meant to have a scene where they got taken by the witherstorm but it was just never finished. I'm not sure. But I don't know, it feels so deliberate. Like the scenes looked finished.

I'm guessing they were originally going to to get picked off one by one. Girl ould be taken before they reach the fortress. Then Aiden after the reach the entrance to the portal room. The the butcher. Leaving Jesse, Axel, Olivia, Lukas and Maya all alone while in the end.

I'm not sure what would have happened after that, but I think it's interesting for sure. Maybe you would have gotten the option to save either Aiden or Maya like you did with Petra and Gabriel but I don't see much evidence for that it's just a cool idea. But anyways, if this is accurate then I think it's a shame. I feel like have more development for all the ocelots would be wonderful and I think having Maya tag along with us would have been very interesting. Idk I'm stupid.

This is an as of right now, unfinished writing exercise takes place in my Early Chipped Petra AU, after this post, I will expand on this as I get more ideas

"Petra, please stop... Ple-Plea-Please!" Pama begged as it spoke through Jesse, still twisting his voice into something wrong and corrupted, even as his body twitched with every glitch. "D-Do not deactivate me..."

Petra froze as she stared down, gazing into those horrible red eyes. She has to focus, to pull out that heart, one more good tug and it would all be over. Yet, for some reason, she couldn't help but listen.

"I kno-know I've made some v-ver-very poor decisions recently, but I can sh-show you so much..."

Pama's voice almost sounded forced, glitchy. It almost seemed pathetic... Yet somehow convincing, for a only a single, split second, Petra blinked and she was back at that machine, staring into Jesse's emerald green eyes. At the time, they were wide, filled with guilt and his expression held nothing but anguish.

And then she opens her eyes, and she's back on the platform, back to reality.

"I-I can help you get h-home, you can be a be-b-b-better friend... I can be useful... To you..."

And there it is. There's that stupid word again. It's all just a trick, to get her guard down. Fury immediately boiled Petra's blood, replacing any temptations that screamed at her to stop. "Not happening, Pama." Petra growled, venom dripping with every word she spoke, fueled by a rage she's never felt before "You're useless..."

Pama's pleading stare morphed into a glare as Petra's hands tugged at the heart once again.

"Pl-Please st-st-stop! Will you? I-I'm af-fraid..." Pama pleaded once more as its core slowly slipped from its place. It's begging cries only served as fuel for the faint smile on her lips. Oh how satisfying it is to know it would be finished.

With the satisfying rippling of wires and loosened screws, the heart was finally removed. It was over

"NOOOOooooo!"

Pama's final cry was like music to the ears, Petra almost laughed, and she would have, had her gaze not drifted to Jesse, had she not seen him collapse.

"JESSE!" The heart in her hands dropped, as the warrior cradled Jesse in her lap, any sense of joy having melted into despair. "Please wake up! Come on, Jesse!" But Jesse didn't move, not one inch... His chest didn't rise up and down... His pulse was weak.

"Jesse, please don't leave! The gang needs you..." Petra let the tears fall and the sobs escape, they deserved to be set free... She deserved this pain... She knew it... "I need you..." As Petra's words turned to sobs, something wrapped around her, something shifted in her lap. It was Jesse. He's awake, alive and breathing.

Relief washed over her, Petra opened her mouth, letting another cry leave as she returned Jesse's hug, burying her face into his shoulder, choked apologies slipping through her sobs. Jesse didn't say anything, he simply held his embrace, his own tears forming, he rubbed circles into Petra's back, even if that simple movement sent jolts of pain up his body, squeezing his nerves, it was all he could do to comfort his friend

They stayed like that for a while, for how long, neither knew, but eventually, Petra had to pull away, wiping her tears, her gaze drifting upwards in a sense of calm defeat. "We have to get back up", Petra's expression mirrored Jesse's as her eyes landed back down into his tired, teary eyes, he looked so exhausted, and she couldn't blame him. Jesse, still without a word, tried to get up, it seemed neither his body nor gravity were on his side, for he was nearly sent tumbling back down and caught in Petra's grasp. "Take it easy, Jesse"
