darn. the bootleg contained the brad nolan recording that has been available on yt for a couple years. 12/02/2002 fireside bowl chicago il – brad nolan video from katies music archive and fanremaster

in notes @spaceyraygun explained there were bootlegs of brad nolan's videos (of fireside bowl 2002&2003) that showed on youtube in the last couple of years. which confirmed that the tape was created relatively recently lol

there was this moment with with these letters at the beginning that are new. it could be an early brad nolan watermark (don't quote me on that I have no idea what it is)

google translate: "no book" also it told me the language might not be supported and it couldn't detect it.

this ebay listing is absolutey crazy to me

ok so re: the characters in the vhs, it could possibly mean "first book" or "first edition" in Chinese. However, it's uncommon for the character 第 to be used without a number following it as it's used to indicate an ordinal number (ex. first, second, third, etc.) My background is mostly in japanese so this was from my own (limited) knowledge and research abilities in chinese so if anyone else with more experience has any corrections pls feel free <3

Wtf is going on with Indian Spotify

So my dad changed my country to India in Spotify because Spotify Premium is a shit ton cheaper in India. At first I didn’t see much a difference but then weird shit happened.

You can watch music videos on Spotify?? What?? Like you can switch from the song to the video??

(Ignore that you can’t see the vid in the screenshot, copyright or something idfk)

2. Literally snake but with songs? Like the classic Snake game, but you eat playlists, and the song that you’re trying to eat at the moment is playing while you go to eat it?

3. MCR that’s not available in US? Like the Warped Tour ‘05 Bootleg Series (Live at Warped Tour 2005). I have it on my iPod, but it wasn’t available on Spotify before. Or, as another example, Zero Percent is on the Na Na Na single. I think I’ve heard about Zero Percent and We Don’t Need Another Song About California being on Danger Days in UK Spotify or something, but I don’t see the other song officially released any where on here.

These are all wonderful features, actually. Why can’t I eat my playlists on US Spotify, it’s a crucial feature.

in honour of its 18th birthday... here's my bootleg cd of the black parade that my dad made me upon my request in 2007 and when i was 13 years old and saw welcome to the black parade on tv for the first time. it doesn't look special but it means so much to me. i have been listening to this exact cd on my cd player these past 17 (seventeen!!) years. it's the only cd and the only album i have been listening to regularly for this long.

there were times when i would play it and dance and yell along in my room. there were times when i'd use the alarm function on the cd player and would wake up to the end. for months in a row. there were times when i'd have the cd propped up against the cd player and it'd catch my eye from time to time and it felt like seeing an old friend.

and this weekend, after all these years, i watched them perform this album start to finish for the first time on a livestream from las vegas thanks to the kindness and determination of some random person out there who wanted to share the joy of that experience with people like me who couldn't be there. and thanks to tumblr i got to watch people experience the euphoria with me. and it meant more than i can say.

i could go on and on about this album but thank you to my chemical romance for creating this masterpiece and thank you to my dad for helping me access music and develop my love for physical media and thank you to all of you on here that i can now share my love and appreciation for mcr with after all these years <3
