This is my "I think selfies are stupid" face. Just got home ... I placed 417 out of 3000 runners. My chip time for the 11 miles was 1:37:29 @ avg of 8:50/mi ... no PR's today but a learned a lot and finished in a full out sprint passing sukras all the way to the finish line ... much better than my D.C. finish .... blogging tonight. #run #running #mcm1775k #mcm2017 (at Prince William Forest Park)

Salomon SpeedTrak Shoe Review Inaugural run. Snow and ice on the trail added to the fun, but they handled well. Felt great until one foot became submerged in a puddle. That was not a Happy Feet moment. Will adjust the laces so that the toe box is not as tight. The big test will be mud, which is why I got them, specifically. On dry pavement, there were odd moments of feeling the rubber spikes move, but I'll attribute that to my uneven footstrikes. The longer I run races, the more new products I become introduced to. After crossing the #mcm1775k finish line, you get food items to replenish your energy. This was truly a first: #beetjuice Say what? Very odd. And blended​ with #passionfruit juice. These are the only two ingredients. #beetperformer is a product of #austria Can't say I'm a fan of the taste though, but I could tolerate it over time. Those #Marines are always pushing my limits.
