1 . im still working on his outfit. 2. i changed his ears. sick of the faunus having 1 singular animal trait plastered on a human model. it's not better by Much, but I think it's a good change. AND i made him a bit more furry. he's a monkey guy. he does not need waxed abs.

ok so my version of the guy has him more aligned with the jttw version. very hotheaded and impulsive, will beat you up if you look at him funny. He still puts on the funny cool guy front but he's easy to set off pre-fall of beacon. Which is part of why he failed as SSSN's leader.

He goes into each strike without doing much strategizing first, and while he's very strong (fought and won against quite a few Haven students! you could say he caused a lot of havoc.), that doesn't do him any good against an opponent that

On the journey (which he got signed up for in exchange for getting out of his semester-long detention sentence for said Havoc In Haven), he did a lot of work on his impulsiveness, control, and temper with the help of his new teammates, Ao Lie, "Pigsy" and "Sandy" (dubbed WASP). Sanzang, one of Haven's best teachers and who they had been tasked to escort on a reconnaissance mission, carved him the circlet to remind him of the progress he'd made, and to take a breath and think whenever he feels himself getting too caught up in the heat of a battle. He and Blake have a much more quippy relationship. Sun grew up in the same neighborhood as her, and while they never met officially until they were older, Blake does have the memory of being 7 years old, and noticing a little blonde monkey stealing peaches from her family's tree.

saga story notes: Sun, Blake, and moments rewritten.

In this au saga, Sun is actually from the same hometown as Blake in Menagerie. He is there for his early childhood, before moving to Vacuo with his family, and finally moving out to Mistral on his own to attend Haven. One of the few memories he still has of Menagerie, is stealing peaches from some guy's tree, and getting spotted by a little girl his age.

Blake has more faunus traits that she still attempts to hide while attending Beacon, specifically a tail, which she wraps around her waist and covers with an ill-fitting uniform, and a large overcoat in her fighting outfit (something similar to ryo's from dm: crybaby)

When she distances herself from the others and officially meets Sun, they spend those first two days getting to know each other. (more than small talk and weird looks) One ice breaker is Blake coming to the realization that Sun is from one of her early childhood memories in Menagerie, where she caught some kid stealing peaches from her family's tree.

Things go similarly to canon with the Roman fight, though Sun shows his more impulsive and straightforward fighting style.

Weiss and Blake actually have a conversation after the fact instead of the weird "I'm gonna say I don't care that you were a white fang member/are a faunus and somehow this is my way of saying sorry for earlier and something something teammates" speech. There's a lot still left to do to bridge the gap, but everyone working to make Blake feel comfortable and safe being herself is a start.

Sun and Blake get along very well, and though WRY understand why she was so closed off with them until now, they do get noticeably jealous at times. (Yang pining arc.)

Things go about the same from there to the end of the festival.

Post-Beacon

Sun no longer follows Blake to Menagerie, instead returning to Haven where his own journey begins. The serpent fight still happens, however Blake, with the help of the crew, is able to fight off the serpent long enough for them to escape from it's territory.

When SWAPS (starting to lean towards WASPS as Sun takes strides in learning to be a leader) arrives in Menagerie a few weeks later, having taken the long way around to avoid a densely-populated grimm areas, Sun and Blake are happy to reunite, and she's surprised to meet his new team, and see that he got a new fighting outfit.

As they catch up, Blake reveals she had been researching into a conspiracy in the town for the past few weeks with the help of her parents.

One sunrise, Blake finds Sun on the balcony, joking how she's supposed to be the brooding one. They talk more about how the fall of Beacon affected them, the mistakes they made, the regrets they have, and the things they'd been through since. Sun opens up to her about what happened with Macaque.

Events go similarly to canon, this time with WASPS showing up back to Haven with Blake after realizing they and other students and staff had been sent away by Lionheart so that the school, and the relic, would be vulnerable to Salem's next attack.

After the fight, Sun reunites with his old team, and while they don't plan to get back together, they get closure. Sun apologizes for abandoning them in the past, and the others recognize that he'd become a leader in his time away.

SSNN stay to help clean up Haven, but promise to meet up with WASPS at the end of their journey in Vacuo.

saga story notes! SSSN fallout, & Havoc in Haven

- When arriving back to Haven after the fall of Beacon, in the time before Haven sent it's students home following the mass Grimm attacks on Mistral, everyone is pretty shaken. Already in a rocky place with his team after showing a lack of maturity and self control that being a leader needs, Sun pulls away from his teammates, feeling that he won't be enough to protect or guide them if a similar disaster were to come to Haven. - Sun begins to push himself in his isolation, focusing on training his strength and his skill and his semblance until he can do whatever he sets his mind to. He gets stronger. He gets quicker. He strives to make the first strike the last. He needs to be able to beat anyone in a fight, lest he be useless against the power he'd witnessed at Beacon. - This results in an impromptu, chaotic battle on the campus. Sun versus as many students he can taunt into fighting him, and as many teachers trying to stop him that he can stand against. It's rumored he almost won against the entire student body. - Once finally subdued by strategy among a team of teachers, he's heavily reprimanded, confined to detention and pulled off of SSSN until they can think of what to do with him. - Meanwhile, SSN are pissed with their former leader. Already feeling hurt that he'd just pulled away instead of talking to them, they are angered that his reckless impulsiveness has now split him from them for what could be permanently. Neptune felt especially hurt by this. Sun, still bitter about his defeat and punishment, feigns convincing apathy to his friend. They decide not to talk it out.

- It takes a week or so for the school to think of something as it shuts down operations and sends its students home. Lionheart explains to Sun how dire his situation was. Attacking students who were already demoralized and distressed from the Beacon attack and following Mistral attacks, attacking the ever-decreasing amount of teaching staff still posted at the school and not sent out to fight Grimm, and causing a lot of damage to the campus in the ensuing mayhem, was grounds to consider expulsion, and possibly even bar him completely from applying for his huntsman license. But, as it happened, there was a chance for him to make up for it, and more importantly, someone who was willing to give him a chance. - Haven's defense teacher, Tang Sanzang, is not an official huntsman. He, while agile and able to hold off on his own, has very little fighting power, and very limited physical stamina. His semblance is strictly for support, a golden translucent barrier he can shape and resize, but a power he'd honed over the years to be nearly unbreakable. As well as defense, he is skilled in negotiation and strategy, and is who Haven has tasked to send across the world to Vacuo, to gather information on the ground and to discuss future plans on how to better protect their kingdoms should worse attacks arise. - Due to the communication systems being shut down, this is a journey that must be made on foot. With Sun's show of power, they and Sanzang believed it a good opportunity for Sun to accompany Sanzang as a guard, to fight the swarms of Grimm, and the increasing number of bandits looking to follow Salem's footsteps in destroying peace. - Along for the journey is Ao Lie, a quick and agile fighter whose semblance allows him to communicate with a limited but growing list of animals. With him is his horse companion Bái Mǎ, who has quite the attitude, and doesn't get along well with Sun. - Wujing and Bajie, nicknamed Sandy and Pigsy, also accompany Sanzang as student volunteers.

- Together, with Sanzang as their teacher and leader, they form team SWAPS.

rough outfit sketching for two more!

i wanted sandy, said to be the most levelheaded of the disciple trio (swk, pigsy and himself), to have a calmer, more fancy air to him. He fights a lot more delicately than his build would suggest, his form sometimes even looking like a dance. (have not thought of a semblance yet, might just go for water manipulation) ao lie, team beast tamer, carries as much bite as his outfit barks. He makes do without a semblance that helps in a fight, his style is quick and up close, and the razor sharp claws fashioned onto his gloves cut much deeper than they would seem to.
