Right so I'm rewatching MCD yet again and I'm on ep. 100 and I'm like really thinking about it now but uhhhh Laurance was Absolutely concussed going into season 2.
That man got dropped to the ground twice in one episode by the back end of a sword and then had to turn around, hunt down his best friend, travel to a different realm, fight his bff a Second time, help hold off Zane, AND drag Aphmau through the portal back to the overworld. I Know his head is throbbinggggg lmao.

Okay, I both love and hate the part of the S1 finale when Laurance tells Garroth, “you have to accept that people won’t always return your feelings.” (Paraphrased cuz I’m sneak-writing this in math class)
First off, I LOVE it because I absolutely adore when Laurance and Garroth learn from each other and affect each other’s development. There is a special place in my heart for dynamic friendships like that and DAMMIT I WILL TAKE WHAT I CAN GET.
But also, I can’t help but be frustrated with what it implies to the audience. I know that Laurance didn’t really know everything that was going on and made assumptions about the situation/Garroth’s feelings based on what he knew, and I don’t fault him for that at all. His conclusion that Garroth was jealous of Laurance having a possible relationship with Aphmau was completely valid considering the information given to him by Zane and Garroth himself. But the fact that this assumption was never refuted leaves the audience thinking that he was right about Garroth’s reasons for being angry, which negates ALL of the time spent building up Garroth’s betrayal through a series of misunderstandings and secrets and manipulation… it feels like Jess started out giving him sympathetic motivations and then got lazy and decided he was just jealous and nothing more. Of course, I don’t think that was Jess’ intention, but it is what was conveyed through that scene.
So, in conclusion: Garroth is more sympathetic than Laurance made him out to be, the writing of that exchange was flawed, and I want more Laurance/Garroth dynamic friendship pls

Trying To Understand The Irene-Shad / MCD-Mystreet Timeline
If you watched Mystreet Season 6: When Angels Fall and didn’t understand the Shad and Irene timeline - don’t worry! You’re not alone. But after several months and a lot of thinking, here’s my solve. Putting it under a read more because it got kind of long haha
TL;DR: The Divine Warriors’ powers come from Shad and Irene’s dead child that Irene murdered and turned into a relic that was shattered into several pieces and given to the Divine Warriors, and figuring this out caused Shad’s banishment, not simply Irene’s lack of emotions
PRE-DIARIES
Irene and Shad are both born with very strong powers, which are seen as able to “rival” one another’s. While seen as a goddess, Irene refutes this, saying, “I am a born human with unnatural powers, I am no goddess.” They meet after Shad destroys the crops in a village that Irene promises to help. They fight, but find themselves evenly matched. Irene is overjoyed to find another with similar powers, but Shad is furious, asking her how she could be glad to find someone when having these powers makes others fear them, causing them to be outcasts. The two are intrigued by each other, and plan to fight again (mcd s3 ep15)
Over time, Irene and Shad fall in love. Hyria says of this, “Shad loved Irene deeply, and Irene loved him back. However, their love was star crossed, for the fates destined Irene to be a champion for peace while Shad was destined to be the warrior of chaos and destruction.” (mcd s2 ep100)
Irene, at some point, has a child. Shad is the father, but does not know about this at the time, seemingly, leading me to believe that she must have left for a while. No one else seems to know about this child, as Hyria claims “Irene never had any kids herself, but she did want children of her own.” (mcd s2 ep100) This child only appears on screen once, in the afterlife, long after the events of Diaries. She refers to Shad as “daddy,” and in the credits of the episode is listed as “Their” Daughter (mys s6 ep11)
Irene kills this child and turns her into a relic. As established with Alina, any child containing both of their blood would be extremely powerful, which is likely the reason she chose to turn their child and not someone she had no attachments to. We know that she at the very least gives some part of the relic to Shad, as he states later, but I posit that she shatters this relic into multiple pieces, and those pieces are the Divine Warriors’ relics. The main clue to this is that while she warns of immortality as a symptom of absorbing a relic, the divine warriors do die over time, just much later than humans, as stated by Hyria (mcd s2 ep100). This to me implies that they were given incomplete relics. Either Irene had a different relic made of someone else, or all of her powers are simply inherent to her, much like how Shad had other powers before his relic.
This relic, or the pieces of it, are given to the Divine Warriors in a ceremony. Irene warns them of their powers. Shad accepts, telling her that “I would have no other honour than to serve you.”
Esmund falls in love with Irene. Shad and Esmund fight over her, which causes her to slowly lose all emotions.
Shad has a child with an unnamed mortal who is Aaron’s ancestor: “Shad, however, moved past Irene and had children with a mortal. His legacy lived on.” (mcd s2 ep100)
Shad somehow finds out that their daughter was turned into a relic, presumably leading up to his banishment. He lashes out over this, and the rest of the Divine Warriors plot to banish him. Even Hyria says of this plan that “Esmund, Enki and Kul’Zak together determined that if Shad was gone, there would be no darkness in this world, and maybe Irene would learn to love again. How they came to this conclusion still remains a mystery to me,” which makes sense if there was an different hidden reason that she wasn’t aware of (Shad found out about the child, and therefore turned against their plans). Whether she tricked the Divine Warriors or they were in on it, or what Menphia was up to during this period, is unknown, but Shad is banished to the Nether, where he stays until he is able to posses Aaron after his death.
Irene, wanting to feel emotions again, decides to lock away all of her memories and go into slumber in the Irene dimension. She takes her powers and puts them into a relic, which Aphmau later absorbs.
MINECRAFT DIARIES
Irene reincarnates as Aphmau and wakes up (mcd s1 ep1, obviously)
Shad is still trapped in the Nether, in his Shadow King form, building up power (mcd s1 ep18). He is given a vessel when Aaron dies sacrificing himself much later (mcd s2 ep81)
Alina, Aaron and Aphmau’s daughter, and therefore a descendant of Shad, is born. She contains a piece of Shad’s relic. Shad, now in Aaron’s body, becomes a primary antagonist as he tries to take Alina from Aphmau, who he believes is Irene. (In retrospect, this is kind of a reasonable move on his part, considering she has a history of killing their kids).
Aphmau meets the Heart of Darkness fragment of Shad, who asks “Irene, how could you? why did it have to be her?” (mcd s3 ep5)
Later, Heart of Darkness Shad tells Aphmau, “even if we could transcend time, I have no plans to forgive you for what you've done.” Aphmau replies, “What I’ve done?”, to which Shad continues, saying, "You’re not so clean of blood.” It then flashes back to all of the Divine Warriors receiving the relics, then flashes forward, where Shad tells Aphmau, “Had I have known the true cost of the power, I would have rejected you completely, right then and there.” (mcd s3 ep6)
Much like how Aaron’s soul continues to live within Shad, Irene’s soul continues within Aphmau: talking to her and convincing her to give into her power (mcd s3 ep27). Irene later possess her body to slaughter several guards at a wedding. Shad senses this in the Nether, saying “there you are... Irene” (mcd s3 ep29)
During the events of what was going to be the rest of Minecraft Diaries Season 3, but was cancelled, Shad takes Alina, and brings her to place of the Celestial Cannon. Aphmau (and Emmalyn) come to stop him. Shad threatens to turn Alina into a relic, just like Irene did, saying that “you took our daughter and made her into a relic, then had me use it.” Aphmau continues to insist that she is not Irene (mys s6 ep13)
The exact outcome of this confrontation is unknown, but Shad presumably dies, and goes on to live in the afterlife as Judgement to atone for his actions (mys s6 ep11)
MYSTREET
As Alina says, Aphmau (Diaries version) ends up in “an unreachable realm,” presumably where she acts as the god for Mystreet. During this time, she revives Aaron twice - once during s4, after Aphmau stabs him to death, and then later during s6. She is sent to atone for these actions in front of Shad / Judgement. Alina offers her a piece of her soul to continue living on, but Diaries Aphmau instead gives that piece to Mystreet Aphmau. With that, Diaries Aphmau has died. (mys s6 ep11)
As Mystreet Aphmau leaves, “Their” Daughter (Shad and Irene’s daughter who was turned into a relic) comes to Shad, telling him that he can “be with us now.” Shad responds, “it is time for us to rest.” The two of them retreat into the gates, Shad’s soul finally put to rest. (mys s6 ep11)
So there it is! At least as far as I could figure out. While some details are really fuzzy, due to most of this happening off screen and simply being implied, I believe that this is the most concrete timeline of events from MCD-Mystreet involving Irene and Shad I could come up with. In conclusion: Shad did nothing wrong

Something that upsets me is that I've never been able to find the version of Dancing Mad that plays in MCD S1 EP100. I know which one plays in TES and WAF but I cannot find the one in MCD.

Aphmau Curse
almost every time a very special event happens on Aphmau’s channel something delays it? some examples would be,MCD S1 EP100 mysteriously disappeared/deleted itself the day it was supposed to air,Dreams of Estorra(and I think LLP?) got delayed the day their first episodes were supposed to air(now it’s happened to MS S6). Isn’t that weird?
