I have this idea for a metal cardbot au(calling it the 'First contacts' au fn(?)) at the moment -
The basic idea is that before Machina exploded, the cardbots knew it was coming and they contacted the natives of the nearest planet with life on it, aka Earth and us humans. The Motherboard of Machina also pre-prepeared the Metal Breath/Brace and what human will be chosen to handle it, that being Jun.
Once the cardbots started arriving, one of the first ones being Silver Bullet(FC!Bluecop) who also was the one who contacted the nearest active space station, it was up to Jun to gather and settle down the other cardbots and for the rest of humanity to accept Earth's new lifeforms.
here's some concepts i made :
You can see i want to make SB the somewhat-equvalint to Optimus Prime and probably Deckerd -
Also, the idea of a cardbot with two alt forms is pretty neat to me -

â» There are three types of MCB splint position.
1. MCB/H (high)
The first one is a disposable splint used for 10 minutes and is used in the MCB technique. This splint has a good effect of moving all the skull movements.
For instance, a patient who is a nurse underwent 8 hours of laparoscopic surgery for intrauterine fibroids and received a 7-day sick leave following the day of surgery for care at the hospital. When the surgical site was palpated, the motility of the surgical site gradually decreased when the device was worn, and the patient became more comfortable as the surgical site was gradually healed. Initially, the effect lasted for 10 minutes.
For patients with dystonia, the splint is immediately twisted and the head can be turned straight. However, symptoms reappear after 10 minutes. So, after checking the wrong direction, a splint is re-made and worn again. As the treatment progresses, the patient's symptoms improve little by little, depending on the degree of distortion of the skull. However, the treatment time is extended to 1 hour after approximately 130 treatment sessions. It can also be seen by palpation that the distortion of the whole body is improved.
2. MCB/L(low)
The second one is a semi-permanent splint. This splint is a device worn at bedtime and is thinner than the MCB/H device for daytime use. The characteristic of this device is that it is worn during bedtime and it is effective because it is worn for a relatively long time, and it is remade and worn when the movement of the skull is distorted. When orthodontic treatment is performed, the final thickness is treated to be MIP at the front and rear, left and right positions where the thickness becomes 0mm. In the case of dentures or full mouth prosthesis, the teeth are treated with MIP at 0mm. If the teeth are occluded in this position, the patient's skull moves normally every time the teeth are touched, and the overall health of a body gets better with time. This location is relatively easy to find.
3. Tooth contact position (maximum intercuspal contact position)
This is the location when you want to treat malocclusion with orthodontic treatment.
Currently, most orthodontic treatments involve moving teeth while they are biting together. If the left and right centers of the lower jaw are misaligned after correction is completed, the sphenoid bone will continue to shift and move. If your lower jaw is off-centered anteroposteriorly, your temporal bone will shift and move. Ultimately, if the height of the teeth is off when they reach, the occipital bone will be out of alignment. If the occlusal height is low, the left occipital bone continues to send signals that it is misaligned, but if the dentist cannot palpate, the patient cannot tell. However, as time goes by, little by little, the effects begin to appear in the body. Therefore, if you undergo orthodontic treatment, your teeth must be aligned in a three-dimensional position of the lower jaw that normalizes the movement of the skull.
Then, my teeth will play the role of an MCB splint for the rest of their lives, normalizing the movement of the skull every time it touches. Could this be the herb of immortality(elixir plant)that King Jinsi is looking for?

Hi Julia! I wanted to start by saying thank you so much for your blog and answering so many people's questions, you've no idea how much it's helped me! I wondered if you had any tips about inviting academic speakers? I'm meant to be in charge of inviting someone to speak at my PhD cohort (6 people plus two supervisors each, so quite a small group) presentation day and I'm not quite sure how to pitch an email like that. Thanks so much for any advice!
hello!!Â
And Iâm so glad to hear that! Thank you for the kind words! Youâre very welcome :)Â
So hereâs the format I follow for inviting speakers, and you can see if itâll work for you!
Start with a greeting - âDear Dr. ____âÂ
Opening line should have the purpose and summary of important info right off the bat so they get the gist of the email immediately
Optional: introduce yourself
Quick info on the seminar/meeting and type of audience
Other instructions, such as: more detail of what is expected of their talk, available dates/times, who to contact to arrange travel, when to reply by, etc
Closing -Â âThank you so much for your time. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, ___(Your Name & Contact Info)â
Other misc tips:
Feel free to bold important info, such as dates. Itâs a quick way for the invitee to check up on info later.
Make the email subject line clear and to the point
CC anyone who should be kept in the loop (like the faculty member overseeing your seminar/meeting)
Feel free to send a follow-up email if you donât hear back from them within a week. If you still donât hear back a week after that, you can probably assume they wonât be responding.Â
Coordinating the dates may be a challenge, so one way is to ask the speakers to give you their top 3 choices, and then schedule them in based on whoever replies first.Â
Beware of the pitfalls of copying and pasting a template! Make sure to double and triple check personalized info (such as the name of the person youâre emailing) is correct!
Hereâs a sample email I wrote to invite a speaker for our programâs weekly seminar (I used a template provided by my program, same one that I outlined above):
Email subject line:Â âUniversity of Arizona Cancer Biology Seminar Invitationâ

Dear Dr. _____,
On behalf of the graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty at the University of Arizona, we enthusiastically invite you to be our keynote speaker at the 2015 University of Arizona Biology Retreat this October.
The student retreat committee underwent a rigorous selection process for speakers, and at the completion of program-wide voting, we have selected you and would be honored to have you join us. We believe your research is perfect for the interdisciplinary scope of our audience, which includes the Departments of Chemistry & Biochemistry, Molecular & Cellular Biology, Cellular & Molecular Medicine, and Immunobiology. The retreat is an overnight event at the iconic Biosphere 2 in Oracle, Arizona (http://b2science.org/) on the weekend of October 10 â 11, 2015. We would greatly appreciate your participation both days so our students can interact with someone so accomplished in the field of science. To facilitate organization of the retreat, please let us know by the end of this week if you are available and interested in serving as our 2015 keynote speaker. Feel free to contact any of us if you have any questions or special requirements for your visit.
Thank you!Sincerely,CBC/MCB/CMM/IMB Student Retreat Committee
I hope that helps! I hope you get some good speakers! Let me know if I can help you with anything else!

Ethics in social media
Nowadays, we almost cannot imagine our lives without social media. Thanks to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, we obtain important news about the surrounding world, and we also maintain contact essentially with the entire world.
These days, Internet communication is often replacing personal communication. Thanks to it, we can talk to anyone in real-time, even if he or she is on the other side of the world. On the other hand, we must realize that internet communication also has many pitfalls.
One of them is the fact that it is anonymous. In cyberspace, our real appearance (with exceptions) is not visible, and this brings equality in relationships. (Corcoran & Andover, 2020) As a result, there is no discrimination of any kind â economic, social, racial, national, or religious. However, thanks to this individuals can significantly gain self-confidence. (Bargh, McKenna, Fitzsimons, 2002)
That is also a reason why in recent years we can see a lot of hateful comments on social media. However, individual platforms are trying to do something with it. For example, according to data from the German company Statista, Facebook removed nearly 29 million posts containing hate speech so far this year. (2002) Nevertheless, in the vast majority, the authors of these comments are not properly punished.
In my opinion, the main problem is that the official rules of etiquette on social media such as Facebook or Twitter are not uniformly formulated. Most of these media rather encourage compliance with laws and principles of an ethical nature. However, a summary of more specific rules is missing on these platforms.
This is also why we should follow the so-called ânetiquetteâ on the Internet, i.e. a set of social rules that facilitate interaction on the Internet. (Scheuermann, Taylor, 1997) Although these rules do not represent a stable and permanent set of principles, they are very helpful for proper communication in cyberspace.
In my opinion, there is a false belief in our society that we can solve the ongoing culture war that we are a part of through technology. However, I think the cause of the current problems is not social media, but society. In order to solve these problems, in my opinion, we have to solve the issues of society first, not the problems of social media.
Nevertheless, when we communicate on the Internet, we should keep in mind that despite the fact that the way we communicate has changed radically in the last two decades, the basic rules of decency and politeness have not changed. And perhaps they are needed today more than ever to maintain order in the new digital environment of social media. Etiquette, decency, and courtesy play a significant role in shaping interpersonal relationships and are important aspects for creating harmony not only in real life but also in the online environment.

Why Meeting With The Owner Is Important Before Renting
So you liked that house and are about to close the deal on behalf of the broker or agent who has shown you the house. Wait! Donât do this. Meet the homeowner first and try to maintain good relationships with him/her.

Why meeting with the owner is important before you rent a house?
Why Meeting With The Owner Is Important Before Renting Before occupying a house you should first meet the homeowner to know about the property. Like where is the knob of water supply. Whom to contact if water supply is not alright? Where is MCB? Where to place the waste from where it can be taken up by the municipality staff. You must know about all these things.
Behavior of the homeowner should also be known to you. You should talk to your homeowner to know about his/her values. The first impression talks a lot about the personâs nature. Observe keenly to have an idea about him or her. You would not be able to tolerate your homeowner.
Also Read:-Â How to Deal With the Pet Restrictions at Rental Property
Ask for restrictions if any. Pick that house only if you are comfortable at those restrictions. If you are not on the same page you should not consider living in that house. So, deal with these things before moving in.
You must also verify if he/she is a homeowner or not. If you are dealing with the broker or agent you must be verifying that the homeowner is the same or not. Prevention is always better than cure.
Follow these tips to find a safe and happy owner along with a good rental flat.
