She always had the best romance novels since they were written by muggles who knew nothing of love potions or luck potions. Turning the page of your book gently, Ginny set her book down softly, looking at you lovingly. As you read a specific line of your book, your eyes widened, and your face blushed. You have just gotten to the scene where the book guy leans on the door frame.

Ginny, noticing your face growing warm, speaks up, "Abigail, what seems to be the matter? Find a new romance trope you would like to give a shot?" Eagerly awaiting your answer, Ginny pulled out her quill, ready to write down what you would like her to do for you on some parchment. A devious plan formed in your head as you looked up at the female. Who said this specific trope had to wait till later? Smiling gently, you spoke, "Love, would you go stand in that doorway for me?" Looking at you, genuinely confused, Ginny stood up and walked to the door you had nodded at. Standing in her disheveled uniform, waiting for her following instructions, she looked cute following commands so willingly.

"Okay, now I need you to put your left arm above your head, bend it slightly, and lean kinda sideways on the door." You spoke enthusiastically. However, as the scene before you unfolded, you couldn't hold back the giggles. How could one human look so ungodly uncomfortable? "Merlin beard, Abigail, this is killer on my stomach. How much longer do you want me to do this?" Trying to contain your laughter, you stood up and approached the poor girl. You relieved her of her duty, leaning on the door and showing her what you meant. Ginny eyed you up and down admiringly. She leaned in gently and kissed you on the lips before pulling away. "Now I understand, love; you wanted me to do that thing the guys do in the books." Nodding your head gently, you leaned back in and captured Ginny's lips in another kiss.

You two got back to your books. However, as your mind wandered back to Ginny's horrid attempt, you couldn't help but start laughing, causing a book to be thrown at your head.

The scioness of the Tamura family, a modern aristocrat family with a strong influence over the Tohoku region that dominated its local culinary business (the gyutan). Being an only child, she has a spoiled temperament but was also taught the values of altruism & fairness by her parents. Currently, she was sent by her family to pursue higher education over a top private university in Tokyo. Sengoku jidai (past life); the default verse where the past life of Aika as lady Mego of Tamura clan is explored (her character tag will be under the name Megohime instead). This verse can be set in various Sengoku period-based settings, mainly general Japanese history based but Sengoku Basara is a prominent universe where this interpretation will be defaulted into that verse instead. By default, she will be somehow connected (in various ways) to her husband, Date Masamune.* *for actual shipping purposes, feel free to throw in a discussion with me first before you want to rp this out. jesper would love how outgoing you are. he needs someone who can match his energy, and make him smile. you’d light up any room you walk in, and he’d be absolutely head over heels for you. inej would tease him about it. he’s normally so confident and flirtatious, but you make him weak in the knees. it’s a good look on him, and even though inej loves to tease, she also loves how happy you make him when he’s around you.

jesper is also quite a physically affectionate person. he’d love that you are too, always wanting to have a hand on your waist, or your hand resting on his arm. in crowds, he’d have an arm slung around your shoulder, keeping you close. you’d get more hugs you’ve ever had in your life with him, spending half your day smooshed into his chest. it would annoy kaz to no end with the amount of pda you too displayed, but he secretly liked you too. you’d keep jesper’s head on straight, which would help him focus on jobs. kaz would have to thank you one day for putting up with jesper so he didn’t have to. babysitting isn’t his forte.

i don’t think jesper is much of a reader. he prefers to live out adventures, rather than read about them. but he’d love listening to you ramble on about whatever book you were reading, smiling at how your face lit up when you talked about it. kaz would make it a point to leave a new book in your room every once in a while, as payment for keeping up with jesper and making him happy every day.

i think jesper is a hopeless romantic. he can’t help it. he just loves love. and while i don’t think he reads much himself, he’d definitely pay attention to some cheesy poetry to dramatically recite to you as a way to declare his love. kaz would call it nauseating, but get a kick out of it too. jesper would definitely support any artistic ambition you have. he’d do his best to make sure you succeeded, always praising your work. he may live a life of crime and be content with that, but he wants the best for you. and your passion for making other people happy would inspire him.

How She Fits the Trope: The Pollyanna is a trope about a girl who always seems happy, and pleasant, and good no matter what happens to them in life. And their life has not been an easy one, Samantha’s life certainly hasn’t been, but it doesn’t matter, because their outlook is always sunny. There is a term in psychology called The Pollyanna Principle, or Pollyannaism, which is the tendency in people to remember pleasant things better than unpleasant things (the term has become overused and diluted in recent years but toxic positivity). That is very much Samantha to a T. Connection with Greer: Samantha met Greer in High School, though mostly she knew her … just as the girl who was the most popular. Everyone loved Greer, she was so pretty, and complemented people in the hallways and stuff. Samantha is aware that a lot of people say she was very fake, and she doesn’t really know one way or another, but she always seemed very nice to her. She also had a few interactions with Greer through Ollie, when they were out partying together and it ended up back in NYC. They didn’t really hang out but once again, they were always fairly pleasant interactions. The only real significant interaction Samantha had with Greer was one night in High School when she was a freshman and Greer was a Junior, she was getting out of one club later in the night and apparently Greer was getting out of some club, or sport, or whatever. She was heading to the subway, and passed Greer who was waiting for a car, but had been stopped by a couple of guys that were harassing and calling her. There seemed like there was about to be a really bad situation, so Sam stopped and very politely asked them to leave Greer alone. The guys just laughed at her and continued to be skeevy jerks, so she kicked one of them in the junk, and flipped the other off his feet when he tried to advance on her– it was easy, with Sam being so well versed in Tae Kwon Do after all. Greer found it very amusing, and took Sam home in the fancy car that had come to pick her up. She ordered milkshakes for them and they chatted a little bit before she dropped her off. That’s really where the interaction began and ended beyond the casual greetings once in a while, but it was a pleasant experience.

FACTS

Samantha grew up with her Grandfather because her parents were unfit to raise her due to their addiction problems. They aren’t really in her life anymore, but she sees them maybe once a year if that. Her father more than her mother (since she lives with her paternal Grandpa), neither of whom are together. The last time she saw her mom was probably when she was sixteen, her dad came to her High School graduation though.

She grew up next door to Ollie. He’s like an older brother to her, really and they love each other very much. They don’t hang out, or spend much social time together because they have… almost nothing in common, but she cares about him very much. May or may not be taking over the business for him after he graduates.

She went to the same high school as Greer and all of those fancy rich people on a scholarship for all the impressive awards she managed to win for literary things.
