When the light is right you gotta snap that selfie, amirite? . This week I’ve been listening to the It’s Already Yours exclusive podcast by @manifestationbabe and damn. I always feel so incredible while studying this stuff. The youngest had a whole day of appointments at Seattle Children’s so I got behind a day (but that’s the best thing about the podcast format—it was so easy to listen to Thursday’s and Friday’s eps today!) I’ve been sharing my take-aways as I go and I can’t break my streak now so here are my ah-ha moments from Thursday and Friday: 1) you don’t have to be high vibe at all times to accomplish your wildest dream goals. Action + desire + inner work are enough—even if sometimes you gotta take a day to binge read a book while you eat Cheetos (just please don’t get orange powder on the pages. Or do, you do you 😄) 2) It is safe to want something just because you want it. You don’t have to justify your desire. We have to keep unlocking all these little things which our subconscious has picked up over our lifetime - particularly before the age of 7. Finding the limiting beliefs that we hold & how they effect our life today. They can come from the most random childhood messages. And we might not even realise how they’ve been expressed because they have become part of us. Taking time to notice how different things have played out & certain ideas & messages that you think and how they could be blocking you in the different life areas. Then taking action to busy through the blocks. “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will rule your life and you will call it fate.” 🤯 I recently opened my mind to more learning both within and outside of the sphere of my author career and already I love how good it feels to learn simply for the sake of learning again. Between the podcast I’m listening to about manifestation (It’s Already Yours by @manifestationbabe, so good) and a book I’m reading about New Domesticity and it’s influence on (as well as how it’s at least partially the result of influences from) societal norms + feminism, I feel like I’ve had more ah-ha moments in the last 48 hours than I had in the last year. From now on I will always have a non-fiction and a fiction book on my “currently reading” shelf. . 📸 While I work on raising my awareness around my unconscious mind, I’m cleaning out my bookshelves of all the books I’ll never re-read (or let’s be honest have never read and never will 😅.) Sometimes I gotta purge the old to make room for fresh new energy, ya know? What if everything you deeply, truly desire is waiting for you on the other side of your own unconscious, outdated mental programming? . Big thoughts for a Monday night, I know. But I’m listening to a new podcast (It’s Already Yours—first ep just dropped highly recommend) and resting up after an epic long weekend spent with my best friend. We found a hidden speakeasy we’d heard rumor of while we were out and while I’m listening to this podcast I thought: How perfect an analogy is that? The speakeasy was a bar within a bar, just like our unconscious thoughts are the thoughts within our thoughts. You have no idea they’re there unless you go looking—unconscious mind and secret cocktail bars alike. .
