you are right, i'm very excited for shownu to come back to fully experience the chaos that is monsta x (and love. lots of love. can't wait to see them reunited) and the age order was such a surprise for me too!! was shocked to learn joo is NOT the eldest. actually rap line as maknae line was mind-boggling to me, but now it makes perfect sense.

excellent song choices :') and wonho... what a beautiful, gentle soul... his solo stuff is great, losing you (korean ver.) is one of my absolute faves 🥺

personally i think they're hilarious everywhere, but my favorite moments are shownu breaking an axe and everyone losing their marbles, also the spanish telephone game, and the idol room episode where shownu and wonho were supposed to carry the rest in sleeping bags to their respective sides as they were trying to escape 😭

wonho's compositions are sooo good i loved what he made for mx and i love a lot of his solo work too!! my favorite is flash, he really is good at those emotional tracks

those are all such good videos!! i rewatched the spanish telephone game sooo much when it came out, they're really just saying anything 😭 they've done telephone game a few times and it's always so funny! also i was thinking and another one of my favs is from monsta x on vacation when shownu runs away from the camera crew?? it is just so insanely funny like he is 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️

the holidays have been fun!! i traveled home to my parent's home and spent time with family for christmas today 💕

omg such good questions!! for the 10 songs i think i'd probably go with a good variety of some of their more mellow songs and then some of their more fun songs that really hype you up and then just a few more that i feel just deserve to be there!! in no specific order: 1. because of u, 2. gravity, 3. U R, 4. oh my!, 5. fallin', 6. burning up, 7. neol hada, 8. monsta truck, 9. love killa, and 10. middle of the night. i really like all of these songs but i think they're also pretty universally loved among the fandom so they'd probably appeal to many non fans as well!!

a day with minhyuk 🥺🥺 i would love to go thrifting with minhyuk i feel like he would enjoy something like that so much and really be able to find some good hidden gems!! i would also love to do something artsy like taking a pottery class or something, i've always wanted to do that and i think he'd also really like to explore a different form of art. and we can spend the rest of the day being homebodies and chilling and watching youtube together!!

hello! this your secret santa #2 again! i loved your answer, it made me rewatch some of their stuff, and i was especially focused on minhyuk :')

i also always really loved their bond, i know most groups are close, but they truly are a group of brothers, it's so sweet to see. i also have to say what you pointed out about minhyuk are some of the reasons i respect him so much, too; he's genuine and straightforward and i love that. 🥺

and for me, i actually got into mx last summer! i fully became a fan on the first day of fall last year haha, it was when i watched the guide to mx and loved their vibe immediately. i tend to bias idols with big smiles so kihyun was my instant pick, but as time goes by i'm more drawn to shownu. although, i will say most of the time i feel like i can't choose a bias, they're all so <333 🫂🤗❤️‍🔥🤧

before i knew them, i was intimidated by them for some reason, i thought joo was this big, scary, meanie (LOL!!) and i saw a picture of a frowning kihyun and i thought wow these guys must be intense (hilarious to think about it now). i got into them through one of a kind and all about luv, had those albums on repeat before i even knew their names or anything about them. once i decided to give them a chance.... instant love. love at first sight. 😊

hello hello!! aww i love that 🥺 and kihyun shownu excellent choices!! it'll be exciting when shownu returns from enlistment as he's been gone the whole time you've been a fan and it's so soon now!! it's so soon now ❣️

omg honestly i was the same before i stanned, it's crazy how different they are in reality versus how they seem to those unfamiliar with them.. when i only know who shownu was i thought he was the maknae for some reason (?? maybe because his personality seemed a bit timid??) and in my head i thought the other members must be Big And Scary.. but yes once you give them a chance it is so easy to love them!!!

favorite songs would hands down be see you again, underwater, miss you, no reason.. they've all got a similar vibe (atleast in my mind idk) that makes me Yearn.. also LOVE the raps in all of those songs, they all hit so hard to me. for me with kpop it's definitely more about vibes than lyrics and a lot of times i never even look up/translate the lyrics but if i had to point to something i always loved wonho's lyrics from his composed songs (if only, no reason, and now some of his solo music as well).. he’s so poetic and the way he writes is just so beautiful

favorite variety omg.. i definitely lean towards their older variety stuff just because i used to rewatch it sooo much when i entered the fandom so it has a special place in my heart. particularly right now and monsta x ray!! they're such classics and all the episodes of each are so fun. but actually definitely probably my favorite variety moment was from one of their appearances on idol room, the segment where they're all trying to catch the bread in their mouth 😭😭😭😭 i still think it's sooo funny i could watch it on repeat for hours and not get tired of it.. they get SO into it and it's just so silly. do you have any fav variety moments? there's so many good ones!!

and i do like cucumbers i'm so sorry minhyuk 😔 love that boy but we have opposite tastes in many things hahaha

i got into mx through shownu actually!! at the time i was mostly a snsd stan and shownu had appeared on quite a few shows with snsd members (a swimming program, hit the stage, lipstick prince) and i always thought he was so different from other idols that you see on variety and i liked it!! so at the beginning of 2017 i decided to check out some monsta x videos and pretty much immediately loved them and started watching everything i could find haha.

as for what i love the most abt them.. hmm!! i think for me it's gotta be their friendships with each other, i've always loved how all the members have such different personalities but they all get along together so well! also it's been so fun watching their friendships evolve over the years, like i never would've expected changki to host a radio show together before but it worked so well!

and my bias is minhyuk!! i was drawn to him right when i first started watching monsta x videos, i really admired his charisma and energy and the way he naturally led the group during variety and interviews (at least in the early days). i still really love all those things but now i think my favorite thing about him is his honesty and the way he's going to be his authentic self regardless of what anyone else thinks!! i respect that about him a lot and i like that he knows who he is and what he wants to do and focuses on that
