there is a visible difference between people that grew up poor and people that grew up fortunate and it always stands out around the holidays
#on my mama if youve never had to diy your own chip dip with sour cream and onion powder#or had mcdonalds for thanksgiving out of necessity one year#i fear youre gonna aneurysm when you see the other things my family does#its nothing like. against people that had wealthy childhoods im over the moon that you could have that#however#with privilege comes responsibility#and if i invite you over to friendsgiving and my grandma makes a russian/american soup because we NEVER had turkey as kids#you dont. say thats weird#or that ‘you never had it’c#ofc you didnt you never even got close to the poverty line😭🤚#holy yap#mb gang i gotta get this outta my system
