Photographer Mayumi Hosokura is known for her works which depict a delicate sensitivity for nature and a unique portrayal of the beauty and intimacy of young people. Powerful and dreamlike juxtapositions of the human form with natural and organic shapes and textures fill the pages of this, her first solo publication.

In a magazine-like format, with embossed scribbling on the front, Kazan is Mayumi's creation about placing the human form with nature's textures, paired with scenes of rocks, trees, minerals.
