This is Jude I've had him for like two years and he's based off Jack skellington. He lives in ramshackle with my friends Yuu @elysia-nsimp Comet. He is also a part of the Spooky Gang of my friends' and my universe including Heaven (based off the mayor), Sal Patchami (based off sally), Buggie (based off Oogie Boogie), Zed (based off Zero), and three soon to be made characters based off the trick or treaters. Love at First Massage (Jude Bellingham x reader)

It was Vinicius who recommended him the place, a nice, unknown, little massage parlour somewhere along the forgotten streets leading up to Plaza Mayor.

The first thing that caught his attention was how empty the place was, a bored looking lady in the reception table checking out her nails as the typical hallway music played on the background.

The sound of his steps got her attention, her eyes didn't widden -probably used to Vini and other players visiting the place-, but he could see recognition on her face as she nodded her head on greeting as he introduces himself, she stood up and leaded him up to the farthest away chair from the windows and told him to wait.

A small chair was next to his chair topped by some magazines, his face visible in one of them, he still couldn't understand spanish, but he guessed they were throwing praises at him for scoring in all La Liga matches since his debut.

"Hi, I am y/n, I am in charge of your massage today"

A voice, your voice, caught his attention, and he was hypnotised from the very first moment, truly believing that he had died and went to heaven.

He tried to greet you back, he truly did, but not a noise came out of his mouth and he missed his opportunity when you arched an eyebrow and got down to work, he was already barefoot, you put some cream in your hands and started.

It were not only, your face and your voice which were angel made, also your hands as Jude could quickly feel the sourness and tiredness slip away and his feet to feel like new.

You were not talkative, or maybe not just with him after he didn't even greet you back.

Jude cleared his throat, yet you didn't look up to him as he scratched his neck and searched for any reason to speak with you.

"Do you watch football?" he wanted to hit himself, why couldn't he think about anything else? You laughed.

"Is that an indirect way of asking whether I know you or don't?" you inquired, looking up to him, a teasing look on your eye "I do know who you are and I do watch football, but maybe my team of choice won't be of your liking, or maybe yes as everyone knows of those tweets of you recognising the real goat"

"I suppose that means you have also seen that school project in which I wrote what my dream team was"

"I did, my brother went crazy calling you an hypocrite for then going to Real Madrid in what he deems a money operation and nothing more"

"He sounds like a real fan"

"Ask Vinicius what happened the last time he came over and my brother just happened to be here. Also tell him he still owes me that money"

"So, you work in this massage parlour and as a side job you do bets with football players for the extra money?"

"Not everyone is offered like a hundred million euros, you do what you have to do, Bellingham"

So, you were beautiful, you were smart, you liked football and you were funny as well as great at massages.

Jude was already down hard, he even thought about purposely injuring himself to come back sooner.

The massage was entirely too short for his liking -it went on for over an hour, you didn't tell him how you were purposely slow to keep on chatting with him.

Turns out, Jude Bellingham wasn't just great at football, but also at mantianimg long conversations and making sure to keep eye contact even while you worked on his feet.

When you finished, Jude almost asked you to keep going, but he didn't want to seem desperate, but he did leave a special note with his phone number written down alongside a generous tip.

He couldn't help but laugh before asking you out on a date, when you sent him a photo of what you had spent your tip on.

You did look good in red and blue, but he bet you would look even better with his last name on your back.

Sorry jude just need to reiterate my point. For someone with mental health issues. They can't be fixed just because they get into a relationship.

For someone that has issues trusting, has issues with control, has trauma, has had to deal with abuse or manipulation. Someone that's basically been a gaslighter for yearsssss. Getting into a relationship or falling inlove won't fix that person. Yeah yall can bring each other happiness and lighten loads but you're issues don't just magically evaporate.

I like that about this story because that's real life. With real struggles and real doubts and real worries about christ when is enough even when you care about someone alot.

It's what makes this IF realistic. And not another oh woe is me MC sees an RO and magically MCs genitalia just saved them from every hardship they've ever experienced. Hazaaa!!!

Thinking a relationship can magically fix shit is lame we all saw how that shit worked out for Anna in the first frozen. Js.

Yeah I think it’s respectful to trauma and mental health issues to not have a bandaid just fix it. To me it would be like spitting in the face of how hard those struggles are, how much it has damaged the people who either were born with issues or because of who they were raised (*cough* the mayor) by awful people.

Pretty much any bad deed is up for grabs in this game except for sexual violence. Everything else someone could’ve done

Your worst actions don’t define you especially if you want to remedy them as best you can I hope that’s a message that I can give with this game if anything 💜

As the light faded around Nova and Jude, a shout from the crowd gathered outside of Sluagh erupted. Nova smiled grimly as she stared at Jude’s unconscious form at her feet. She had won. They had won. She sagged with relief as chaos erupted around her.

She could hear the sounds of civilians bursting through Sluagh’s doors. Heard the sounds of Henry talking to the civilians as they arrived. Heard the sound of cuffs fastening around Jude’s wrist. They had won.

“He won’t be hurting anyone anymore where he’s going,” the chief of police said as he and a group of civilian policeman carted Jude away. Jude lay still and unmoving as they cuffed him to both rails of the gurney. “Thank you for saving us, ma’am.”

Henry nodded, his good hand gripping Nova’s shoulder tightly. “Just get him out of here before he wakes up. Or he won’t be waking up.”

The chief nodded. “Really, thank you. Both of you for everything. Thanks to Liam,” the chief paused, and looked to Nova, “I am sorry.”

Nova rose to her feet in an instant. Liam. She slipped on the tile as she raced out of Sluagh. “Where are you going?” Henry called after her. He hurried to catch up.

“Where is he? Where is he, Henry?” Nova didn’t look back. She had to get to Liam.

Henry caught up. “I’ll go with you. He’s…he’s in the town square.”

Not far from here at all. Nova didn’t stop running until she could see the small crowd gathered around the stage at the base of the flag pole. Didn’t stop until they turned and stared at her. The mayor stepped forward. “He was always trying to protect us. We didn’t know. We believed. Oh God, we believed the monster. Liam is the true hero. I am so sorry for you loss, both of you.”

Nova elbowed past the mayor, not caring that she knocked the woman to the ground. “He’s not dead. I can save him. I can save him.” She scrambled to release the lever on the flag pole. Her fingers shook and trembled with exhaustion.

As she growled her frustration for a third time, a hand appeared on hers. She looked up to see the man with the red hair that Liam had saved all those years ago. “Let me help,” he said gently.

Nova stepped back, as she stared up at Liam’s body. His broken, bloody body. “Hang on, baby,” she murmured. Henry and three other people Liam had saved joined Nova on the stage and carefully they lowered his body to the ground. Henry choked back a sob as they gently laid Liam down. His pale, empty eyes stared up at nothing. His blood was still wet on the corner of his lips, the time freeze Jude had placed on him only just ending. The cavernous hole in his chest was larger than Nova remembered, deeper than she thought. She tried scan his pain, to scan how many injuries she had to heal once she brought him back, but she couldn’t find anything. She just had to get him breathing again. Then she could scan him once more.

This wasn’t real. He wasn’t dead. She could save him. She quickly cut away the tape from his wrists, freeing his hands. “Come on, baby, come on.” Nova began to glow again. “Come back to me. Please, come back to me.”

Nova desperately tried to shove her power into him. “Come on, baby, come on,” she repeated, trying to shove her light into anywhere she could. She ignored the tears streaming down her face. Ignored the crowd that had gathered around her. She only had eyes for Liam.

“Please, please, please,” she begged. She desperately tried to heal the hole in his chest, to reknit the skin, and to heal his destroyed heart. She desperately tried to call his soul back. “Come back to me, please, Liam. Please, God, let him come back to me.”

Liam’s words from yesterday came back to her. Heartbeat. She needed a heart beat. “Start compressions,” she ordered Henry.

Henry looked at her, tears filling his own eyes. “Nova, I can’t. Nova, I—“

“Then get out of here if you aren’t going to help me,” Nova roared angrily as she placed her hands over the hole in Liam’s chest. Her fingers barely spanned the hole’s entirety. She gave one tentative pump, crying out as his, somehow still warm, blood flowed beneath her hand. “Please. Please. Please.”

Henry didn’t leave. None of the watching crowd did. But none of them tried to help her. Why was no one helping her? “Nova,” Henry’s gentle voice came.

“Don’t say it,” she said as she glowed again. Surely this counted. Surely her powers would work now. But as she tried to shove her powers in once again, tried to scan where needed to be healed, and she came up blank, Nova froze. No. No. NO. NONONONONO.

“I think it’s truly impossible to heal the dead. Death is the final thing that claims us all. Your power is life and to bring life. But you cannot bring life back where there is none.”

“Nova, you said it yourself,” Henry said slowly, his hand squeezing her shoulder.

“Jude took his heart,” she said as it felt like her heart was being ripped from her chest.

“He’s gone, Nova,” Henry said as he knelt down next to her. “Liam is dead.”

Liam is dead. Liam is dead. LIAM IS DEAD.

Nova wasn’t sure if she was screaming in her head or out loud. All she knew is that she was screaming. She threw herself across Liam’s chest, not caring if she was covered in blood, or if other people were there. She didn’t care about anything anymore because Liam was dead.

She didn’t know how long she lay there, sobbing on Liam. She held his face, stroked his hair. Did anything to try and coax him back to her. Did anything but close his eyes. She couldn’t bear to close his eyes. Because this was the last time she would stare into them.

But he wasn’t there. They were just eyes. Eyes of the palest blue. Eyes the color of the sky at dawn. But they weren’t his eyes anymore. Because Liam was dead.

The approach of spooky season is always special with VoicePlay. In 2018, it meant that it was time for their second visit to Halloween Town, which involved even more elaborate makeup than the previous one. It also contains an important reminder — don't take unwrapped candy from strangers, no matter how little and cute they might be.

Trivia:

VoicePlay originally recorded this song for their 2012 Disney album, "Once Upon An Ever After".

This is the second of four Halloween videos they've made using music and imagery from The Nightmare Before Christmas. It also happened to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the movie.

Each of VoicePlay's video projects is usually handled from start to finish by whoever does the music, but for this one they spread their duties out a bit more. Layne did the vocal arrangement, while Geoff handled the video production process.

The guys are once again representing characters from the original movie — J.None is the wolfman, Eli is the mayor of Halloween Town, Geoff is one of the vampires, Earl is the behemoth, Layne is Lock, and the trick-or-treater is dressed as Jack.

The YouTube description contains another important safety tip — "There is only one Earl Elkins and he is not exactly human. Do NOT try to smash YOUR skull-meat with an axe… it will hurt."

The filming process for this video spanned two days — one for the framing scenes and the start of the singing, and another for their monster morphing.

The full transformations took more than 12 hours because of the extensive prosthetic makeup involved, not to mention contact lenses and costume changes. Their shot list was "the spreadsheet from hell" by necessity. Once a step in someone's monster makeup was added, it couldn't be taken off until the end.

The impressive makeup and prosthetics were designed by Andy Wright and Lia Forestner from Makeup & Creative Arts.

One of the trickiest parts of the makeup process was the fact that Layne turned out to be very ticklish when it came to being airbrushed and had trouble sitting still.

Among the carvings in the jack-o-lantern tower are an Oogie Boogie face, a Jack Skellington face, and a VoicePlay logo.

There was also a hidden bottle of Diet Mountain Dew on the back side for emergency high tenor hydration.

The onesies Eli and Earl are wearing at the beginning are references to their respective roles in "The Chicken Song".

Geoff's dragon onesie made another appearance four years later in a short of "I Put A Spell On You", dueting with Winifred Sanderson from PattyCake's Hocus Pocus videos.

The group created individual character posters in the style of Stranger Things to promote the video on social media.

The jowled prosthetic was added to the MCA / Morphstore collection as a custom item, with Eli as the model and the more generic product name of "fat boy".

The trick-or-treater is Layne's nephew, Jude. Though the over-the-shoulder shot of him knocking on the door is actually Kathy wearing the top of the costume and kneeling on the stoop. Apparently giving a young child lots of candy and then trying to get him to do something slowly isn't the best plan.

J.None had a late-night gig booked after the shoot, and was still wearing parts of his costume when he rushed out to get to that.

Rek Dunn, the guys' longtime friend and production collaborator, made a behind-the-scenes video as a project for a continuing education course he was taking.

The Makeup and Creative Arts team also made a behind-the-scenes video focused on the prosthetics processes.

Some aspects of the makeup made it a little difficult to enunciate. (Good thing their audio was prerecorded.)

The Summers family (aka Tyler Perry's Flashfam as I like to call them) of DC: South. Much like their Flash counterparts, the Summers are a family of speedsters with Racer (Lawen Summers) being the one who introduced the Speed Force to them. As you can imagine, this family is an absolute mess.

Dayna/Accelerate is Will's wife and Rue's mother. As Accelerate, Dayna fights crime alongside Will as his partner. Despite also being a speedster, she does not have the Speed Force; instead her powers come from a superpowered motor inside her body. Probably one of the few normal members of the family.

Michelle Summers (nee Harding) is Jude's ex wife. She's the daughter of Mayor Bobby Harding as well as a prominent real estate agent.

Kenneth "Ken"/Pursuit is Lawen's twin brother and the reason why he got deaged and sent to the future. Him and Lawen have a very strained relationship, not made better by the fact that they're both back in the bodies of their middle school selves.

William is the eldest son of Lawen and Alma and the father of Will and Jude. William is definitely not father of the year to any of his sons nor is he brother of the year to his siblings.

Ruby is William's wife and Will and Jude's mother. She's only slightly better than her husband in the sense that she at least tried when it came to her sons. Ruby does love her grandson Rue, though.

Rue/Speed Demon is Will and Dayna's son and one of the original members of Titans South. This is him before his crash out era and pre Jackson.

Will is the eldest twin son of William and Ruby, Dayna's husband, and Rue's father. Inspired by his grandfather's heroism as Racer, Will became Roadrunner in his honor (and in many ways is considered the true heir of Lawen's legacy).

Alma Summers (nee Griffins) is Lawen's wife and the mother of William. She's pretty much holding the entire family down at the reversed age of 13. Followed Lawen to the future after Ken's betrayal.

Jude/Red Trail is the youngest twin son of William and Ruby and Michelle's ex husband. He, in Maya's words, is what happens when you fail a clearly struggling child. Absolutely adores Michelle even though they're divorced but doesn't know how to go about it.

I'm still working on the lore of my worldbuilding because while Asalorez is a fictional mix of my surroundings the political scenario plays a heavy role in it, especially in the school, and I, like so many people out there, have a love-hate relationships with politics rn. ================================================ There's definitely more important stuff that need to be added, a lot of things have to be taken into considerations, but so far bear witness to what two to threeish years of daydreaming gets you to.

The vibrant streets of Madrid bustle with life as Trent arrives in the Spanish capital. His anticipation mixes with the warm air as he heads toward Jude's apartment. The connection between them has transcended borders, and the reunion promises to be nothing short of momentous.

Jude, engrossed in his own world, hears a knock at the door. The sight that greets him when he opens it steals his breath away. There stands Trent, a smile lighting up his face, and the world around them seems to fade in comparison.

"Trent!" Jude exclaims, the excitement evident in his voice as he pulls Trent into a tight embrace.

"Hey," Trent replies, his voice laced with affection. "Missed you."

Soon, Jude and Trent re-emerge outside, the air filled with a mixture of languages and the aroma of Spanish cuisine drifting from the nearby cafes. Their fingers intertwine as they make their way through the bustling streets, heading toward the heart of the city.

"So, what's the plan for today?" Trent asks, his eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Jude grins mischievously. "I thought we'd start with a tour of the city, maybe hit up some of my favourite spots."

Trent can't withhold his grin as he teases the younger man, "What, are you a man of culture now?" And he can't help but feel warm inside when Jude bumps his shoulder with him own and tells him to shut up.

As they walk, Trent observes the lively atmosphere, taking in the architecture, the laughter of people in sidewalk cafes, and the rich tapestry of Madrid's culture. Jude, playing the role of an enthusiastic tour guide, shares anecdotes about the city, his eyes lighting up with passion.

Their journey takes them to Plaza Mayor, where they're surrounded by the grandeur of historical buildings. They sit at a quaint café, sipping on rich Spanish (non-selfish) coffee, and Trent can't help but marvel at the beauty of the moment.

Later, as the sun begins its descent, casting a warm glow over the city, they find themselves at Retiro Park. The tranquil surroundings offer a welcome escape, and they stroll hand in hand, lost in their own world.

As evening descends, they decide to explore Madrid's vibrant nightlife. The lively beats of flamenco music lure them into a dance club, where they lose themselves in the rhythm, moving to the passionate melodies that seem to echo the beating of their hearts.

The night concludes with a quiet moment on Jude's balcony, overlooking the city lights. The stars above and the hum of Madrid below create a serene backdrop for their shared intimacy.

"Trent," Jude whispers, his eyes locking onto Trent's with unwavering intensity, "You being here feels like a dream."

Trent leans in, capturing Jude's lips in a tender kiss. The world outside fades away, leaving only the two of them, wrapped in the magic of Madrid and the profound connection they share.

In the heart of the Spanish night, Trent and Jude find a sanctuary in each other's arms, creating memories that transcend borders and weave a tale of love in the enchanting streets.

Ms. Marvel’s “Mecca” arc: Aamir’s speech and the radicalization of Discord

One of the strongest scenes from the Mecca arc of G. Willow Wilson’s run on Ms. Marvel is the scene where Kamala’s older brother Aamir is apprehended & interrogated by HYDRA agents (who just seized control of Jersey City’s mayor’s office) while delivering food to his neighbors for Eid al-Adha. Although he was targeted as an “unregistered superhuman,” Aamir immediately assumes that he was arrested due to his traditional Islamic appearance and attire. In addition to drawing overt real-life parallels between HYDRA and the Islamophobic policies of the Trump administration here (said-agents threaten to have Aamir's U.S. citizenship revoked since their policies classify undisclosed super powers as a form of immigration fraud), Wilson also uses this scene to have Aamir give an eloquent speech about the causes of domestic terrorism. Aamir states that the individuals most likely to succumb to extremism are those who don’t understand their faith, feel alienated and ostracized by society and/or their peers, or have pre-existing vices plaguing their lives like domestic abuse or drugs. And according to Aamir, it’s those factors which make those individuals “vulnerable to whatever vulture is circling overhead, selling death and despair as a way through the gates of paradise.”

Aamir’s speech is brilliantly executed! Not only is it disturbingly accurate to the causes of real-life extremism, but Wilson also cleverly integrates it into the context of the overall narrative and its main antagonist. When Aamir states that people “get radicalized when they think the only way they can have a starring role in their lives is by playing the villain,” the panels zoom-in and focus on the face of the masked supervillain Discord as he’s watching the interrogation.

This is such phenomenal visual storytelling and utilization of sequential art on both Wilson and artist Marco Failla’s part!

The deliberate focus on Discord during the conclusion of Aamir’s speech directly infers to the reader that although Aamir is specifically referring to domestic Islamic terrorists his words can also easily apply to white nationalist terrorists like Discord, who is not only later revealed to be Kamala’s former classmate Josh Richardson, but is a fascist vigilante taking his anger out on society by illegally arresting and deporting super-powered people. Once he’s later unmasked, Josh is revealed to have felt alienated and ostracized and that a “vulture” in the form of his accomplice Lockdown (aka, Becky St. Jude) took advantage of his negative emotions. Acting like the “junior fascist” that Kamala’s best friend Bruno previously described her as in the Civil War II tie-ins, Becky was able to radicalize Discord into becoming a super villain since he felt that he lacked a purpose in life. And as Aamir stated in his speech, “the most dangerous thing of all [is] when you don’t have a story to tell about who you are and what your purpose is.”

In that sense, Discord may very well be the most multilayered and realistic antagonist for Ms. Marvel that Wilson has crafted to date as his character truly demonstrates how ideas of extremism and fascism can easily corrupt individuals who lack purpose. In essence, the insight that Wilson provides for through Aamir’s speech and Discord’s radicalization into fascist extremism that makes Mecca one of the most well-written & socially relevant story arcs in the entirety of G. Willow Wilson & Sana Amanat’s original run on Ms. Marvel (as well as my personal favorite)!

The thing is I can’t see mc developing feelings for someone they aren’t close to. Mc already has issues understanding those things and only recently is trying to flirt so apart from shared mental illness what would attract mc to the sibling? It goes against certain traits mc has. Perhaps I’m thinking too hard about this but it clashes with the mc I know 😭

Imre: he would be ok with the sibling being mentally ill but if they are mayor Duran would’ve hired a doctor with a revoked license to probably lobotomize them so then they wouldn’t really be “there” to have a crush 😭

Nia: she would have tried to accommodate their illness as best she could but her father would’ve sent them to a hospital if therapy and medication didn’t work
