#maybe try for a resale ticket
Text
concert tickets are not an investment. hate how everything in this economy we’re like ‘ooh what if I buy it cheap then hike the price up and resell’ and it’s perfectly normal—it’s not. it’s not okay. what’s happening is you’re taking advantage of someone who’s really desperate to see this artist when if they wanna spend that money on the artist, the money should go to the artist themselves. who probably don’t change as much as they could because they’ve set a price that is financially sustainable for themselves and accessible to most who want to go not just the wealthy or those who don’t spend money on any other artists. and I’m not talking about if you can’t go to your concert and resell your ticket closer to it for like 25% more to get a bit back for all the time you spent waiting in queue for a concert you don’t even get to go to. the reason concert tickets are so hard to get is because there are people competing to buy them who are just gonna resell them for absurd amounts of money and honestly? as concertgoers and fans of artists we deserve better. our artists deserve better. they didn’t put a middleman in there. we don’t need it.

seriously entertaining the possibility of going to TWO eras tour shows in indianapolis…

This is a really difficult post but this is my honest account of attending the eras tour…
I ended up with VIP general admission standing tickets to Wembley for the 17th. I was completely torn whether to queue up or turn up late and go to the back. When I loaded the ticketmaster site, I was 50 in the queue to get in. I got in, it kicked me out and I rejoined the queue as the 50,000th person. I cried. I only had the option of VIP standing at this point.
In the end I decided to queue up from 12.30. The queuing outside was well managed but when we got in it all went a bit pear shaped. People were pushing in on the grounds that they needed to be with their friends. Half the time this was legit, the other half it wasn’t. I started out row 5 from the front and ended up row 10. I wanted to cry before it had started. The Wembley staff really did nothing to prevent this and you could sense the tension on the floor. I held back tears.
The stage is absolutely huge. You can’t comprehend how big the stage is until you get there. When Taylor was at the far end she was a speck. I could only see the far end of the stage when I went onto my toes. I did this for an hour until my calves were screaming at me. Stood normally I couldn’t see the stage and I could only see the top of the screen. I’m 5’’5 so average height. There was inevitably no room to dance but I wasn’t surprised at this. I was just surprised I couldn’t see anything at all. I kept having to ask my 6’’2 husband where Taylor was on stage 😭😭 maybe I’m naive as hell.
When Taylor did come to the T zone, everyone’s phones went straight in the air, completely blocking my view. I completely understand people want photos. I got some photos. But people don’t need 50 photos at the expense of everyone else’s experience. You need 1-2. I swear mobiles will be the death of our generation.
“A red rose grew up out of ice frozen ground, with no one around to tweet it”.
Taylor did look at me through the sea of phones. I don’t know if I’m being crazy but I’m a massively empathetic person and when she looked in our direction I felt like she was scared of us. And I completely get it if that were the case because everytime she came down our end, the phones went up like robotic arms. I was scared of us, too.
I’ve spent the last 24 hours mourning and thinking “could’ve, would’ve, should’ve”. But I got the experience I was given. It didn’t occur to me to buy multiple tickets for multiple dates. It’s just not how my mind works but boy do I regret it. I bought one for me and one for my husband. I wish I had gone at the back and danced my little socks off. I’ve been trying to get a press pass for tonight but I’ve left it too late. I can’t afford resale tickets.
I watched 95% of the eras tour through the back of other peoples phones. You will look at those photos they and others have taken and think “wow, what an amazing view”. They were holding their phones 2 feet above their heads. Their phone may have had an amazing view, but they did not.
I love Taylor and I know she loves her fans. I don’t want her to feel bad. I just wanted to be honest.
Note to add: there are no channels to complain to. I’ve messaged ticketmaster and got cut off. I’ve messaged Taylor nation and got silence. I paid £250 per ticket.

God @ I've been trying for two weeks anon I cannot believe that the 7 day tickets worked for me on the second try, this almost feels illegal! I just did command R gymnastics from ten minutes before the drop until the drop and didn't even look at what seat i was selecting, just quickly clicked something green and sped through the checkout process...
Maybe this is insane but I have a ticket in my back pocket now and might queue anyways for better seat chances for the February 1st performance... If that's one you could attend and I happen to get a second ticket I would be happy to sell you whatever is left over (still haven't decided if I actually like right by the aisle). Not sure this works out logistically but if you scream yes and say your tumblr i can dm u
gotta stick together in macbeth crazy land ✌️✌️
Oh this is amazing! If I can connect some Macbeth heads via this blog I will be happy. If it doesn’t work out with the other anon and you decide to queue and do get better seats, there will be plenty of people in the queue who will happily buy your less good seat I promise.
Even the donmar staff (who usually say resales are strictly prohibited) were helping people trade tickets. They don’t care about resale when it’s people at the door trading tickets without profit

When I was a kid, we had all number of fine Chrysler products. Chrysler, also known as “the whipping boy” of the Big Three domestic automakers, gets a little bit of a bad rap around here. Sure, they can’t make a car that doesn’t fall apart 18 months after you take delivery. Most of those eighteen months will be spent in abject misery as you try to mentally justify your purchase. And chances are you won’t be back for another one after this Mopar product wears out, either. What was I talking about? Oh yeah, the good parts.
Here, then, is the good part about owning one of these things: the resale value is not as terrible as it should be. Any car, any running car, has a pretty much established minimum baseline price. No matter how bad your vehicle is, after ten years, it’s worth about the same as any other ten-year-old commuter shitbox. You can pick it up, put a heap of miles on it doing grocery delivery or freelance assassination, and the worst thing that will happen is that you have to wait a week or two for the Ford Focus with mismatched doors and a missing trunk lid to sell first.
While this is great for the seller of the car, this is an inconvenient fact for me, a greaseball who only ever sells his cars to the junkyard. My cars are well and truly used up when they leave my ownership: usually, it’s because the bodywork has finally crumbled in a major area and I’m no longer able to weld two pieces of rust together anymore. That means I have to go back on the used car market with what the junkyard gives me (one bus ticket and a firm slap on the ass) and try to fight all of you normal folks for a new daily driver. That’s where Chrysler comes in.
Remember how I mentioned up above that Chryco cars are equally valuable at the ten year mark? Well, it turns out that if you buy one at the eleven year mark, they’re basically piles of parts arranged loosely into old milking buckets sitting in the owner’s garage. You can pick those babies up for pennies, and use that ticket to carry them home with you on the bus. Once assembled into a working car (maybe mixing a few other owners’ buckets together) you’ll have a fine Mopar product once again, ready for at least a half-century of excellent road handling and wondering what that bolt that fell out used to hold together. Just don’t expect the power windows to work. I don’t do miracles.

The TDS prices are SOOOO ridiculous, honestly I hope no one buys those stupid “platinum” tickets and eventually they’re forced to lower the price. That said, I will be trying for tickets again tomorrow 😭
I know!! I just hate how concert tickets are priced as a luxury so often. Like I know there are plenty of artists where tickets are “affordable” because a friend of mine is going to see Hozier for $50, but then like every time I look at the ticket prices of kpop groups/artists it’s so ridiculous how expensive they are and then of course people turn around and immediately put them up for resale at exorbitant prices
But all that being said….. I’m definitely gonna be sitting in the queue later just to see what I can maybe possibly get even if I don’t end up getting tickets
I was telling my mom last night that I know I don’t have to get tickets, I don’t have to go to this concert, but at the same time like if I intentionally don’t get tickets I’m gonna be so mad at myself for not going, like that tour date is gonna roll around and I’m going be thinking “damn the concert is happening right now and I’m not there” because I get serious concert FOMO like when I had to miss 127 in Chicago because I had fucking jury duty (which I didn’t even come close to getting selected for because I was at the end of the group)

How does the separation of different ticket types work at seated DIR EN GREY lives? As in how many rows are usually VIP/exclusive? Would it be worth it to go to several dates of a hall tour with only general admission tickets? Do they check a knot membership when you have a FC only ticket? (and could you even receive a shared FC ticket if you don't have a valid FC ID?) Sorry for so many questions but I'm trying to figure things out. Thanks in advance.
Hm seated halls have a slightly lower capacity than general admission venues. I remember that at Club Citta, the standing VIP area easily had 200 fans, because my number was like 184.
In seated halls, depending on the size, VIP can take up the first three, four or five rows, I would say. Maximum five. Exclusive ticket seats are in the back or on the second floor if there is any. I haven't bought that type of ticket in years... Since the introduction of the VIP category, I would be surprised if they are able to fill up all of the rows on the 2nd floor balcony with the fans who bought an exclusive ticket.
Seated halls can tend to be deep, so you might see Dir en grey as little figures on stage. If you have the means and are traveling from far, I'd say to go all in and make sure that you have good seats, whether through VIP or resales closer to the date (on TicketJam or Twitter). Otherwise, you could try going one day as VIP and the second as general admission if they play twice in one location, or maybe check the seat map and hall configuration to determine how good a view you would have if you were like at 3/4 of the distance from the stage.
No, they only check a-knot membership when the show is special and reserved for fan club members. I've even had to buy tickets from others who clearly had Japanese names but nobody in the venues' staff ever minded. The last times they checked IDs or fan club membership were for the one A Knot 25th Anniversary show in Kyoto during Tour23 Phalaris Vol.II and prior to that, in December 2022 for that extra a-knot-only show in Shibuya where they suddenly allowed people to cheer, in Tour22 From Depression To____ 25th Anniversary.
Those were all very good questions. If you still hesitate and want to ask me anything more specific, let me know!

The resale market is absolutely insane, it’s so nice to see how many people want to see Taylor but it ki lls me how impossible it is to get tickets. Rowan and I have watched almost every single live stream since opening night. We went to the Night 1 Gillette Show and while we had an amazing time, she spent the better part of the night shivering in her hoodie. She (and I) keep dreaming about attending closing night. With the cheapest ticket currently sitting at over $1000, it occurred to me I could maybe try picking up a part time job. My google searches pointed me in the direction of Uber Eats. I just started driving and she’s been begging to come with me to help earn money together. It’s honestly been so fun. I get to blast Taylor Swift in the car while earning money that can hopefully be put towards closing night tickets 🥹. I’m hoping to reblog this in a few weeks with a happy update. @taylorswift @taylornation

Hey, I have a spare ticket I won't be using for the m9 show, since I can't make it to London due to war breaking out in my country. Do you know anyone who wanted to go, and didn't get a chance? I would hate to see it go to waste. I don't know anyone in the CR community but maybe you do?
I'm so sorry to hear that, and that the horrible things going on right now are also having this consequence. I hope you're hanging in there despite everything, and that CR will still bring you joy when the episode airs.
I don't know anyone who needs a ticket, and I'm not exactly the most popular blog in the community, but I'll try to help. I know there's an official resale that goes through AXS. I also know you can try on the Critical Role reddit (there's a thread for the London live show). Also maybe try the Critical Role discord ? It's been a long time since I've been there, too much people, but this will be good for this instance.
By the way, this is a signal boost, people! If you know anyone, don't hesitate! Help a Critter out !

Seeing american swifties complain about there being a ttpd part in her concert when she goes to europe is so funny. It shows how they are never happy over anything and tbh i would be happy to not have seen it. Yes maybe the choreo or the production of the stage performance is good, but i would never feel ok watching something from that album that was made out to be a hate album about joe, just to be about how down bad she is for matty. Thank you but no thank you
Some of them are either demanding more US dates this year or trying to get resale tickets for Wembley. Greedy just like their fave.

Im trying to buy tickets for Harrys show in Italy, where would you recommend I search? Do you know any accounts that publish resale tickets or should I maybe wait for Ticketmaster resale?
Hi dear,
I always try to post tickets I see on here and my IG. Also, a great account to check is Handwrittentixs on twitter, they always post tickets at face value/what the person bought for. Once it's closer to the show date, check harryflorals stories bc they do ticket boxes on IG for each tour leg so fans can sell tickets they don't need.
Other than that, do any Italian fans have other websites where you can get Harry tickets?
---------
Always remember:
Be safe and follow these guidelines when purchasing/selling tickets from/to other fans. More tips here and here.
I am not responsible for any scams or fraudulent purchases.

ROCKESTRAL.
That's my favorite music style ever (right now), it's called ~rockestral~. Coined (maybe?) by the Video Game Orchestra.
daylist: yearning cottagecore saturday night (musicals, broadway, bard, pining, songwriting, folksy) [heavy on the yearning sheesh (this might've been one of few that I didn't fully enjoy)]
I refuse to be a runner girl BUT with warmer weather and longer days, I might start hitting up the gym/fitness classes. Because there's no reason why my mid-twenties heart should be thumping hard when I run across a small street. That's simply not healthy. I'm gonna find me an anime (actually my photo-friend rec'd a kdrama and I might try it?) and only watch it when I'm on a treadmill or something.
I told my turquoise-friend that the middle-schooler inside me is a little bored. I'm not really as heavily "involved" as I used to be. Granted, I've more responsibilities these days. I have to cook for myself. Harder some weeks than others.
Okay so I watched Mr. and Mrs. Smith and like,,,,, okay look. GOD I wish I was ignorant to Glover's fetish bc I would LOVE to celebrate the first? only? one of few? major television shows with an interracial couple where neither of the individuals are white. Unfortunately,,, that.. "appendage" exchange in episode three was just far more uncomfortable than it was funny. ASIDE FROM THAT, the show really started picking up at e5 and progressively got more fun. I think it was interesting how they tried to balance the slice-of-life romance with the spy stuff (it didn't always work, but I applaud the attempt). It dragged a tonnn in the first half of the season. That ending though... mm.
Progress on the hunger games cyoa: I've finished most of the basic game "loop" event functions (the ambush event is admittedly pretty basic, but balancing it is proving to be a tough task, so simplicity will have to do for now). Need to finish endgame then add supplementary functions ("saving" the game, skill challenges, random environment selection (some of these have been handwritten)). After cleanup, I might be able to work on the secret/alternate ending. But I'd have to add in a mercy/ally function first which will DEF shake the script up.
I met with my project "advisor" and they were... well honestly they were speechless at seeing how much I'd had done.
I'm not a doodler. Fine art isn't my thing. Tried it, wasn't for me. Which makes the fact that I have Hadestown-inspired doodles in my epigenetics notes even funnier. A red carnation, a red flower that doesn't look anything like a carnation, a dropping floor, an open door... That show changed my brain chemistry in ways I may never recover from.
Today I'm thankful that one of my favorite artists is coming to my city this summer!!!!! It'll be my first (non instrumental) concert which is pretty cool! I don't really know what the etiquette is like, how long shows typically are, what I should even wear... (a little annoyed because I had the website up when they were first released because I was curious but I didn't have my card on me so I ended up having to buy resale for over twice the original price, but now I know, buy tickets early (my music taste is not so niche that these things won't sell out)) But! should be fun!

I need to vent a little: I don’t like people who’ve been to multiple shows trying to get presale tickets to even more shows! I want the chance to see Taylor just once, I shouldn’t lose that to somehow who’s already been to the show. If they want resale, cool. But please let those of us who didn’t get codes the first time have the best possible chance!!!!!!
okay I wasn't going to answer this bc I know it's a annoying subject for everyone but like...yeah you're right lmaooooo I could also do without people who already went to multiple shows being assholes on tik tok when someone dares to say MAYBE it would be nice if fans who haven't seen taylor yet also got a turn but that wouldn't give them a chance to drop the fact that they've seen her 1050050383 times in every conversation I guess...many such cases...
