Having no-one in Riverclan believe Frostpaw about Splashtail sure was A Choice
#warrior cats#asc#splashtail#frostpaw#it feels contrived to make frostpaw miserable and make sure splashtail can be the antagonist for a bit longer#there's quite a bit of evidence against the dude at this point and there should've been more scepticism about his claims#perhaps the rule to vote out a leader is once again invoked- but podlight supports splashtail even if enough cats vote against him#maybe the succession crisis then turns into a bloody civil war?#or splashtail regains control of things enough that they all go home sans frostpaw like in canon but then starts making cats disappear?#also while i think the reasons for frostpaw going with shadowclan are fine#i do think that it would've been better if she went to thunderclan and could interact with sunbeam and the park cats#i am way too invested in a short extract from a book i probably won't read when it comes out!
