i don't think i've mentioned this yet but so you can all understand the gravity of the scam arthur is pulling, i've decided he was only at the conclave in the first place bc his sister was sent to hunt him down for blood magic but he essentially beat a persuasion check to break her resolve to kill him without any first-hand evidence, and her solution was to drag him to the conclave in search of a higher authority to make this decision for her. so he was definitely not just captured as a criminal after the conclave but was in fact there as a criminal, for blood magic. which he absolutely did do, btw. but everyone who knows all that is dead (he's probably only alive because everyone who knows all that is dead) and he's going to walk out of here the herald of andraste
