At least, I don't think Sango and Onyx were lying or playing along when they said they were willing to hear Amethio's side of the story. Because both of them cannot lie at all. Sango will spill all of her organization's secrets accidentally because she is just too straightforward and simple, and Onyx is just a bad liar in general.

Sango came off as mocking when she said she was willing to hear Spinel's excuses back in HZ016. Compared to her more serious tone when she said she'd hear Amethio out. It felt different etc.

#like at first i was 'are they playing along?' but then i remembered that both of them are kind of simple actually #sango isn't exactly one for mind games i think she is simple in a good way because you know where you stand with her #it's kinda funny thinking about it as sango likes amethio a little better than spinel #maybe she was right taunting spinel in ep 16 because she could sense his bad vibes ww #and yeah in ep 27 she took a dig at amethio when she said 'someone let rayquaza get away smh'#but she is like that with everyone. she doesn't hold back when she has something to say #and she doesn't seem to hold any particular negative feeling towards amethio idk #she expected him to show up in ep 44 etc. so she didn't mind working with him #thinking about it is actually interesting. hopefully next ep shows a bit more of their perspective #also kinda nice seeing that sango and onyx have more similarities than expected (both honest in their own ways etc)#sango #onyx #hz065 #character notes #episode notes
