Something rubs me the wrong way about how robin williams is being literally sanctified by the public since his death. Like that must be rough for people who Actually Knew Him As A Mutifaceted Person.
#i remember seeing one story someone told about having a shitty interaction with him as a child where he was on a power trip and being nasty#and now they just cant really talk about it because anything that contests him being the Kindest Sweetest Guy Ever makes people go WHAT NOOO#not to discount the positive impact he HAS had on so many#but he was a person with gnarly mental health issues who was very often kind but hes not an Ultimate Symbol of Light and Good#maybe im projectjng and overempathizing because of my own family of crazy addicts#but if a stranger called any of my family Saints even those I love the most and feel closest to#id feel so fucking shitty#i think the news about him and nathan lane is really cool and sweet but someone literally called him Saint Robin
