Raina/The Cast’s Dynamics (OC)

Thought this would be fun so I joined ƪ(˘⌣˘)ʃ || Raina’s established spouse is Julian ! || Warning, yapfest ahead 😓

Julian: In her words, he is her ‘beloved, beautiful, and very eccentric drama king’. In all seriousness, He’s been a light in her life — one of her first friends since she moved to Vesuvia, always taking her to the most lively places and ranting about common interests together. Their first meeting before the plague arose was at a local tavern during a celebration, and they clicked instantly over their love of medical practice and not-so-fun facts for the surrounding patrons. Ever since they found each other again, they’ve been an inseparable pair. They became regular actors in the local theatre after saving the world, because why not? And Julian now enjoys — although reluctantly at first— learning and dabbling in spells that Raina shows him, finally embracing magic.

Asra: When she initially woke up, the sight of their face provided an odd, fuzzy and euphoric feeling, and they’ve been a safe space ever since. There’s a lingering scent of cardamom and violets on him that is mysteriously comforting, and seeing Asra and Faust can make a bad day worlds better. Recovering and relearning after death would have never been possible without them, and Raina is grateful to them eternally for it. They would never return from a trip without at least one shiny item for her insatiable curiosity. A fond memory they both share is when she began to relearn magic, it came to her naturally. (There were a couple explosions but who cares about that?)

Nadia: A gorgeous, kind, intelligent woman in power who happens to be good friends with her teacher? Sign her up. They often arrange luncheons and casual tea parties on free days to catch up, chatting happily until the late hours of the day into the evenings. During the interrogation session (post-plague and murder), things were slightly awkward. It was clear as day that the “detective” and the “suspect” cared deeply for one another, and in her eyes — it was the comedic relief they all needed at the time. Nadia often jokes about it during masquerades lightheartedly, bringing up how fervently Julian can dodge subjects. In her eyes, she is a loyal, dedicated, and generous countess, but an even better friend.

Muriel: They’ve always had a quiet understanding since Raina was resurrected: ‘We may not talk much, but It’s okay to consider us friends.’ Oftentimes she’d come over with Asra, bringing simpler gifts as not to overwhelm him, but sometimes— Raina visited on her own to feed the chickens, play with Inanna, or simply drop by to say hello. They silently trust each other and are willing to help the other in times of urgent need. Sometimes Muriel will have a gift in return, like a freshly made snack, or a wood sculpture, but he’s always a little embarrassed to give it to her directly.

Portia: As the little sibling to her spouse, they’re universally obligated to be best friends. They poke fun at Julian but simultaneously care for him the most. They work together to make the best pastries and dishes weekly, and love to experiment in the kitchen. Julian is happily the tester for the ideas his wife and baby sister come up with (this is how they get him to eat normally, it works deviously well!). They go shopping and have picnics frequently with Nadia, enjoying one another’s company. Portia appreciates not just being seen as ‘Julian’s sister’ or ‘Head servant’ and loves being able to be herself. Has always been thankful that Raina decided to help her brother clear his name instead of condemning an innocent man, who was also her only remaining family.

Lucio: If it weren’t for all the atrocities he’s committed, his sassy attitude, the way he mistreated her friends and the citizens of Vesuvia, and bringing a LITERAL PLAGUE among other misfortune into her life, maybe, just maybe they could’ve been friends. After finding out the depth of his character, it took everything in her not to beat the absolute dog crap out of him in the magical realms. Raina is a firm believer in Lucio slander, and sees him as a failure of a Count, and a weak man. Makes fun of his receding hairline too.

Isabella

Has a healthy respect for and and can hold pleasant conversation with asra, especially since he and nadia are close. However she probably wouldn’t consider them to have a close relationship

She finds Julian a bit strange but entertaining. Again, she’s perfectly comfortable around most people who are close with Nadia, though it’s not likely that they’ve spent much time alone together.

Considers Portia a very reliable and close friend. Working together in the palace along with Isabella asking her for advice with Nadia early on has made them close. It’s not uncommon to see the two in the kitchen gossiping or eating some baked goods at Portia’s cottage.

She enjoys Muriel’s company for sure, any time she’s with someone who’s quiet/not very talkative she honestly will feel relieved and is happy to just sit and crochet in silence and then complain about something once and then go back to being silent again, but at the same time I would imagine they wouldn’t interact much.

Lucio…. Listen she’s a Nadia oc so she does NOT like that man let’s be fr. But unless he comes up in conversation, he’s truly insignificant in her life. If they were to interact she would just glare at him a lot and probably tell him his style sucks.

Ki

Listen he’s in a relationship with Asra but he won’t lie Julian is kind of good looking 👀 But they can hold good conversation for the most part! Ki admires his extroversion and medical expertise and enjoys listening to his travel stories/adventures.

Ki thinks Nadia is cool as fuck and probably wants to get to know her better. He also knows what it’s like to grow up with a big aristocratic family with lots of siblings, so they will chat about that pretty often. They could also play music together since Ki is a guitarist!

Ki probably wouldn’t have too many opportunities to interact with Portia, but he’s perfectly comfortable talking to her and finds her very fun to be around!

Also they’re probably mildly frightened of Lucio just because he’s very A Lot and a big personality like that might just stun them into silence. As for his Crimes and whatnot, Ki has a tendency to give grace to people who maybe don’t deserve it (for better or for worse) so who knows!

Tilly

Deeply admires and respects Nadia - and enjoys chatting with her about books the two of them have been reading, or magic. Tilly would also really enjoy teaching some magic things to Nadia if she would be interested.

Asra brought her back to life and took care of her so naturally she’s very grateful and considers him a close friend - However doesn’t reciprocate any romantic feelings he had for her in the past which both of them are fine with in the end. Tilly still spends a lot of time at the shop despite ending up with Muriel. They have a healthy relationship and can talk about anything.

Tilly likes Julian well enough, but Muriel’s anxiety around him does tend to rub off on her a bit🥲 its all love tho

Hears a LOT about Nadia from Isabella and likes what she hears and often gives Isabella love advice of…varying quality. Once she meets her, she does understand why Isabella was so anxious. Danielle is not often made nervous by others but a towering gorgeous countess lady made her turn bright red.

I’m gonna be so real…. Julian and danielle can NEVER meet. Chaos will ensue. Someone is gonna end up crying or really horny or both. The guards will be called. Someone is in jail. etc etc. Or maybe they need to meet for all of those reasons? Lol

Danielle would love to hang out with and smoke with Asra - as a magic shop keeper herself, she familiarizes herself with other people in Vesuvia doing similar work, so I would imagine them to be on good terms.

You did not ask for walls of text but I'm off work today and am actually awake so... sorry about that.

14. What two fandoms would I write a crossover for... The Arcana and Dragon Age could be fun. The map we have for the Arcanaverse is probably a Mediterranean-sized portion of the whole world, so Thedas being across the sea somewhere isn't entirely out of the realms of feasibility, and the Arcana realms are comparable to the Fade, both have demons in their canon. Maybe an Archdemon shows up in Vesuvia. Maybe the Fade demons are the result of deals with the Arcana gone wrong. Maybe the Blight affects the Arcana. Maybe the Red Plague is actually Blight.

A direct rewrite of DA: Inquisition with the M6. Nadia is the Inquisitor, Julian, Asra and Portia are her advisors. Or an OC Inquisitor with the M6 as random advisors or companions. Something something.

I don't have time or functioning brain cells to do any of this though.

Also, different vibe, I've toyed for a while with the idea of Julian Devorak x Loki smut. There are endless possibilities with a shapeshifting genderfluid pansexual god, and Julian who'll try pretty much anything once. Blessed or cursed, you decide.

20. The last thing I researched for a story... ship stuff, I think. Specifically 18th century warships to find one to model Altheia's ship after. Settled on a vague miniature version of HMS Indefatigable (from the beginning, Altheia as a privateer was very loosely inspired by Edward Pellew). It was mostly just refreshing my memory from a hyperfixation years ago. It was fun! Very specifically, the very last thing I looked up was what the lowest deck on a ship is called.

And because I couldn't just write A Ship like a normal person, the chapter of Tides that was supposed to just be a flashback of Julian and Altheia dancing and fuckin on her ship became... well... *gestures vaguely towards part 28 still in wip* whatever that is.

Full Name: Aja Lynn Hayes

Aja is my first ever OC, and for many years now, has been my self-insert character for every fandom I’ve ever been in. Recently, thanks to my friends, she has finally taken shape into a person of her own, and this is the version I share with you: Aja herself, not the hollow shell bearing her name and a few unchanging characteristics. While she is still, more or less, the better version of me, she’s so much more than that now.

Personality-wise, Aja is a very sweet and caring individual, and is something of an ambivert - she definitely enjoys her peace and quiet and alone time, but she needs to spend time with her friends to be at her happiest. She cares deeply about everyone - too deeply, perhaps, for she has been known to accidentally pry a little too much or push a little too hard while attempting to help, and she can be sensitive to rejection. She’s incredibly stubborn when it comes to the people and things she loves, so it’s not easy to get rid of her once she’s become fond of you, and she’s almost infinitely forgiving, even when she probably shouldn’t be. She’s a pretty good judge of character and tries to see the good in people, but it takes a while to fully earn her trust because of her fear of being hurt.

I admit it, she has something of a savior complex, and she’s drawn almost magnetically to those who need a friend. As much as she’ll insist to herself that it’s just because she wants to help people, it runs deeper than that; she’s always felt rather lonely, like an outsider even among friends, likely because I believe she has autism. When she was younger, she was often the one in a trio of friends who was left to pair up with someone else when time came to pick partners, simply because she was… well, a little odd. Though she has much better friends now, such things have left quite the scar on her heart, and she unconsciously overcompensates with her drive to help others - after all, if they need her, they can’t leave her.

She is the eternal mom friend. Maybe not your first choice if you want to have some reckless fun (after all, she can be a little overly cautious,) but the first person you run to for help. She is the member of the group who brings a large bag to outings, full of things they might need - a small first aid kit, a sewing kit, chargers, snacks, water, medicine, umbrella. If you need it, she likely has it, and will share it with you without hesitation.

Her favorite color is blue, and she’s in love with the night sky, just as I am, and she incorporates stars into many of her favorite outfits. She’s rather tall, with freckles peppered across nearly all of her body, and she once awoke after falling asleep on the couch at a friend’s house to find their little sibling had connected the dots on her exposed skin with markers. Her curly red hair is often left down, but she will pull it up in a messy bun or ponytail from time to time when she’s overheating or working on something, especially during summer. She loves reading and writing, and also occasionally paints as well, especially for gifts. She’s an amateur photographer too, and can often be found trying to get that perfect shot of pretty scenery or prettier pets… or occasionally people, when given permission.

Aja has been my go-to oc for all of my older fandoms, and as such, she has slightly different variations for those that I'll list below for your convenience. Also worth noting, she has brown hair for all of the following, as the red hair was another unique trait that developed recently.

The Arcana: She is the apprentice without a solid storyline, alternatively dating nearly all of the love interests - Julian, Portia, Asra, and Muriel. One day I hope to return to the fandom with as much passion as I once had, and I will create new ocs for each of them.

Last Legacy: Aja was my main character, as always, and fell in love with our favorite dorky necromancer, Felix. She's exceptionally good at making potions, especially for healing. There are two alternate versions that involve her accidentally entering the world with her best friend, and one in which she somehow stumbles across the multiverse into another last legacy universe, meeting and befriending two additional MCs. It's a little complicated, but very fun for roleplay purposes!

Teen Wolf: She is Stiles' twin sister. This incarnation of Aja has dated a few different people over time - first Isaac, then Liam, and currently she's dating Allison after I discovered I was bisexual. She's a werewolf, though the timeline of her getting bitten is currently a bit ambiguous until I rewatch the show and figure out her timeline.

In the middle of writing that last chapter of the Spy Fic I had a moment where someone spoke and I had no idea who it was. I went through various side characters and no one seemed to fit. So of course I ended up making an entire OC to fit that slot.

Sometime during the early days it might have been a kiss on the forehead as a gentle gesture or a kiss on a small wound Kyle would've gotten from his curios nature. Whatever the case it is long forgotten for both of them as their memories are filled with much more meaningful memories than the pain of those times. (Platonic)

The first kiss was a gentle hand kiss during training to help with a splinter. Could Hunter have gotten rid of it without the kiss? probably, was watching Muriel's reaction and immedate denal worth it? completely. (Platonic?)

Portia;

Honestly, neither of them remember the first kiss due to how many small quick kisses they share with eachother on a daily baisis. Portia would say it was probably a cheek kiss but Hunter would argue it was a hand kiss. Truth is neither actually know.

Julian;

If you were to ask them it would be a completely diffrent event than the truth. The reason they'd lie? Hunter for dignaty and Julian due to a promise to forget about it. Easier said than done when you wake up to someone kissing your hand in their sleep. (platonic?)

*Bluebell;

Pre plague Asra;

I'm going to prefrence this by saying Bluebell is capatle S shy. A kiss on the tail. What Bluebell meant as a drunken face bap with their feathered tail to get Asra to 'shhhh' resulted in Asra's reply to kiss said tail leaving Bluebell both speechless and flustered if not more poofy (ya know, because feathers). (Teasingly romantic)

Lucio;

The suprise kiss in the snow. While it took Bluebell by suprise it was technically their first kiss. If you ask if it was romantic or not would get you diffrent awnsers. Lucio thinking it was romantic and Bluebell having no romantic feeling towards Lucio at the time at all finding it a bit much. Not to the point of hating it but definetly needing a bit more time to warm up to Lucio. (Depends who you ask.)
