I actually appreciate your take on the problem. And to be clear i've never really had any issues with your work due to the egregious sizes of the one piece characters. I like the suspension of disbelief of being 'small', but I don't like being told the character is supposed to be small. The biggest thing ive noticed is that you try not to have size comparisons between objects and the MC and rather compare them to other characters in the verse.

Oh good, good, I think I get you too. Like, I've said before, but it's not so much that you need the reader to be completely blank, but that you just don't need glaring reminders of any particular physicality.

So being looked down on by Eustass, wouldn't break things, cause anyone like 6'6" and under is going to be beneath that gaze.

Where: "You get up on a bench to see over the crowd easier." is kind of height neutral compared to:

"You hop futility trying to see over the crowd." has a DISTINCT sense of shortness.

Or as others have mentioned, specifically struggling to reach a bottom shelf. A statement where Crocodile ducks to enter a location doesn't mean the reader would need to, but if, say, Luffy had to duck down, the assumption would be more height neutral to say everyone had to (save maybe default small size Chopper).

See? Even this little bit gives me something to chew on.
