Species lore/information for Plushee’s dst au

Because I felt like it. Probably going to make this my pinned post, at least for a while.

Anyways (This is kinda long lol)

1. In my au, every character, cannon or not, is an... animalistic creature. I don’t have a name for... whatever they are. (This is entirely because they’re easier for me to draw and write actions for lmao.)

2. In general, they’re a mix of various mammal species, but mostly dog species and cat species, with a rare number having a bit of hare or rabbit in them.

 3. All of them are omnivores, though most of their teeth are sharp/canines. How sharp their teeth are on average is determined mostly by genetics. 

4. Biting is often used as an attack in combat/fights. Sometimes they nip each other affectionately or because they just enjoy biting. 

5. Their claws are retractable like a cats’. Maxwell and Wilson can’t retract their claws because of their time on the throne. (They have shadow claws/paws, but Maxwell’s are bigger, and the shadowy part covers more of their wrist because they spent longer on the throne.)

6. Claws can be sharpened, though how sharp they usually are is based on genetics. 

 7. Snouts can vary in length/width, and they always just have nostrils (not a real nose like a dog’s or a cat’s.

8. Legs are always the same length as arms and vice versa. This allows them to easy drop down to walk/trot/run/sprint on all fours, and also stand upright.

9.They have 3 “fingers” on each paw, and their front paws have smaller opposable thumbs.

 10. The tails are the most unique part of them. (This is because one of my first digital art pieces was Wendy and Abigail as wolves, and the way I poorly drew their tails then is still how I draw tails now.) Every tail ends in three points, the middle always being the longest.

11. They wag their tails rapidly to show excitement like a dog, however their tails can also bend and flex at any point, very similar to a cat’s tail. The tails are also always slightly longer than the body/legs, and if not held off the ground by the tail’s owner, it will drag. (Thus, Maxwell has a v e r y long tail.)

12. They’ll intertwine their tails as a sign of affection with others, their tails are raised and/or wagging when they’re happy, their tails drag on the ground to show sadness or annoyance, and they’ll lash their tails to show anger.

13. And also their tails are the fluffiest parts of their bodies.

 14. Any eye type that exists in cannon is the except same for the animal versions. (Including yellow/pale yellow eyes, eyes like Wickerbottom’s/Charlie’s Maxwell/Wilson’s eyes, Willow’s eyes, etc.)

 15. Their base fur color is usually their cannon skin color while their hair color is their marking color. They can have any markings, like those of animals. (Stripes, spots, splotches, etc.) Really any possible patterns/markings.

16. If they haven’t been seen in the cannon or they don’t exist in cannon then their fur colors are usually based on genetics. Or food, if they’re one of Plushee’s three ocs (That are cannon to the au.) There are exceptions, however. (Ex: Wendy and Abigail are both blonde in the cannon and their fur is completely blonde.)

17. Ears can be folded back, turned in any direction, and also vary in length (mostly depending on whether they have hare/rabbit genes or not.) they can have tufts and markings like tipped ears or spots.

18. Ghosts are snakes. They have the body, tail and neck/head/snout/ears from when they were alive, minus the legs. They don’t really have a spine, and thus can either move and wrap around things (Like a snake) or just float along like they had legs. (It might feel like they still have legs to them, but obviously, they don’t anymore. Not in ghost form at least.)

Anyways that’s just the excessive amounts of species lore I’ve came up with. Totally didn’t also create an extra excessive amount of lore for spirits and the afterlife ahahaha-
