eric is a bit more chaotic than sam, always more outgoing, etc. sam expects that post island he’d mellow out a bit but instead he gets more defensive and aggressive.

sam and eric have always been close friends (yknow. they’ve grown up together and shit) but always did have separate friends. eric and maurice used to be close, but post island they have this dramatic friend breakup. anyways, after all the shit they went through on the island, they’re even closer, and are basically each others only friends. however, they don’t always tell each other everything. for example: when sam catches feelings for maurice, he doesn’t tell eric, and so when eric finds out he’s really pissed. i think the fact that they were all each other had as kids mixed with the trauma of the island would lead to a really close childhood and a really rocky and distant life as adults.

they NEVER talk about what happened on the island. never. this leads to a lot of unexplored trauma and would fuck up their relationship as siblings a great deal.
