Do pairings like Silver/Roxy, William/Celine, (pre-divorce)Chase/Stacy, (pre-infidelity)Actor Mark/Celine, (pre-separation)Henrik/Mrs. Schneep, Yandere/Senpai, Bim/Matthias, and Anti/Knife count as Ego shipping? (The last “couple” is a joke btw.) I would’ve added Deathwiish/Anti to that list, but most other versions seem to follow pretty closely to your interpretation of their dynamic which, unlike versions of Dark/Anti, is never soft. It’s always murderous with a hint of flirt through violence.

Those are canon, established relationships that I don’t mind. Some of them I really like! But it’s the “Ego Septiplier” and shipping of characters who are more likely to be brothers that infuriates me. Like Jackie and Marvin? I literally can’t comprehend why on earth that’s such a popular thing. Like...W H Y? It makes no sense!
