yeah. loves himself a good goofy sound effect or two (or more). his taste scares darry a bit (he doesn’t see the appeal for the garden (tasteless)) and he definitely blasts these with dallas to annoy people

sodapop: he likes all the songs that got popular on tiktok lets be honest here, but he’s just a casual listener like johnny, and will sometimes pick up songs from ponyboy or twobit that he likes. mainly listens to the garden when repairing cars at the dx because they make “good car repairing music” (whatever that means). his favourites:

that’s it. that’s steve’s favourite the garden song that is unique form soda’s favourites and tbh he’s so valid for that

darry: “i can’t listen to that right now i have a headache, turn it off!!” would rather eat rocks than listen to the garden because they annoy him too much. made it a rule that ponyboy and soda could only listen to the garden when he’s out of the house or they are out of earshot from him. HOWEVER !!!! he likes one of their songs!! he can tolerate one song!!!!

"Win?" Cordelia said in response to Matthew's voice as she returned to the porch, but upon seeing Jai her face lit up. "Jai, you came." A shy smile crossed her face.

"Of course, I came. Just like I said I would." Jai turned toward her, his worry replaced with a warm smile.

"I just thought, well, I hadn't heard from you all weekend. You never called so..."

"Oh. I didn't want to crowd you after everything. I thought it would be better to not."

"Well, I wouldn't have minded. Next time, you're welcome to ask if it's OK."

"Next time I will."

"And if you wanna hear from me....you can let me know that too." "

Yeah, OK."

The cutesey flirting was almost too much for Matthew to bear. He cleared his throat. "I was certain we were meant to be walking to school, Cordelia, or is that no longer on the table?"

"Oh right." Cordelia quickly remembered. "I did say we could walk together, Matthew." Matthew smirked in response to Jai bristling from Cordie's words. "But, Jai and I were meant to walk together. Oh jeez, I made a mess of things didn't I?"

"No, you didn't." Jai interrupted.

"I asked to walk you today and you offered to walk with Matthew. So why don't we all walk together? That way, everyone wins. Isn't that right, Matt?" Jai shot him a look.

"Sure, Jimbo." Matthew shot him a pointed look back.

"Wins? Matthew was just saying that." Cordie pondered.

"Was that what that was about?"

"Oh that." Jai considered how he might explain before Matthew cut him off.

"That was simply a discussion between guys. Don't worry. It's handled."

"Oh, well, then I guess we should get going then."

"Of course." Jai agreed as he took her hand.

As they started walking together, Cordie could feel herself still being a little awkward.

She was happy that Jai actually showed up and made good on walking her, but she was still getting used to how to be his girlfriend. Their hands met not knowing how exactly to hold each other

Matthew trailed them eyeing the placement of their hands closely. He could just feel the shy tenderness between them and it took all his energy to keep tempered through it all.

"Relax, Landgraab." He told himself. He told Jai he had a shot, so now he had to actually believe that he did.

Below is a list of my favorite episodes from "THE OFFER", Paramount+'s biographical miniseries about producer Albert S. Ruddy's memories of the making of the 1972 Oscar winning film, "THE GODFATHER". Created by Michael Tolkan, the miniseries starred Miles Teller and Matthew Goode:

FAVORITE EPISODES OF "THE OFFER" (2022)

1. (1.06) "A Stand Up Guy" - Producer Albert "Al" Ruddy deals with the fallout from the disastrous press conference regarding mobster Joe Columbo's Italian-American Civil Rights League. Paramount Studios' Head of Production, Robert Evans creates a plan to save the studio from a buyout. Ruddy's assistant Bettye McCartt takes action as the first day of filming is compromised by collisions with Gulf and Western, Paramount and the mob.

2. (1.07) "Mr. Producer" - Dissatisfied with the movie's footage, studio executive Barry Lapidus plans a potential coup as Ruddy attempts to save director Francis Ford Coppola and leading man Al Pacino's jobs. Mob leader Carlo Gambino questions Colombo's leadership, while the latter holds another Italian-American Civil Rights League rally.

3. (1.04) "The Right Shade of Yellow" - With Pacino and Marlon Brando considered for the leading roles in "The Godfather", Ruddy is faced with a variety of issues.

4. (1.02) "Warning Shots" - With Coppola and author Mario Puzo penning the script for "The Godfather", Ruddy and McCartt confront an ever-growing list of opposition. Evans and Lapidus lock horns over the creative direction of Paramount Pictures.

5. (1.09) "It's Who We Are" - As production runs into challenges in Sicily, Ruddy leaves early to get Evans back on track. Coppola's vision for the edit is jeopardized by post-production disputes. McCartt thinks about her next move.
