usahockey: In honor of our men and women making history by both winning gold at the World Championships this past weekend, we highlight two players of the tournament, goaltender Y/N Y/LN, and center Alex Turcotte. The two of them both attended the University of Wisconsin and played for their respective hockey teams.

Y/N Y/LN spent four years with the Wisconsin Badgers and helped lead the women’s team to 3 consecutive B1G 10 Championship Titles (2023, 2024, and 2025), and 3 consecutive NCAA Championship Titles (2023, 2024, and 2025).

In the tournament, Y/LN had a .937 save percentage, and a 1.42 GAA, which propelled the U.S to a gold medal and a world title.

Alex Turcotte only spent one year with the Wisconsin Badgers and had 9 goals and 17 assists for 26 points in 29 games played.

Turcotte turned pro in 2020, and unfortunately dealt with a few setbacks with illness and injury before having a breakout year in the 2023-2024 NHL season. He is now a core member of the LA Kings alongside roommates, Francesco Pinelli, Quinton Byfield, Jordan Spence, and Brandt Clarke, all of whom also participated in the World Championships and won the Bronze medal for Team Canada.

Birthday Full of Surprises (TZ11)

Trevor Zegras x Fem!reader

Waking up in the morning I find myself in our bed alone. Stretching before reaching over to grab my phone from the bedside table I check the time. 8:47. Putting my phone back down I roll over to go back to sleep when I see the bedroom door open. There walking in was my boyfriend in nothing but sweatpants. Pretending I don't see him I hide my face into my pillow as he climbs into bed with me carefully wrapping his arms around my waist pulling me closer to him.

"I know you’re awake," He whispers into my ear. "Mhmm maybe," I whisper back. "Happy birthday baby," He says kissing my neck. I lean into him, "Thank you," "You wanna lay in or see the surprise I have for you?" "Surprise?" "Yeah," He chuckles. "I'm curious," I say sitting up. Both of us get out of bed and he places his hands over my eyes guiding me out of our room into the kitchen. Positioning me he carefully removes his hands and I am met with balloons saying 20, pancakes with sprinkles and candles and a few presents. Smiling wide I turn around to look at Trevor, "Thank you so much," He holds my waist and kisses me, "No problem, now sit down let's eat and open the presents," Doing so I sit down on the dining table in front of the pancakes. Admiring the effort I make a wish before blowing out the candles. Trevor and I start eating before I open up my presents. Unwrapping the first box I see a record player. "Oh my god thank you i've always wanted one!" Turning to look at Trevor I see him on the floor next to me on one knee. My heart warms up as I see him smiling wide with a ring box in his hand. I take in everything and smile as he starts to talk. "Don't worry I'm not proposing to you," He chuckles. "I would of said yes if you were," I joke back. Clearing his throat he starts his speech, "I know it's only been a couple months of us being together but throughout our seven years of knowing each other I've appreciated you so much, your the greatest best friend I could have ever asked for, I promise to love you like I have for years but this time as your boyfriend, lover and partner," Smiling I put out my hand and he slides the ring on my finger, "When did you get into speeches," I chuckle. "Ever since I fell for you," He say kissing my hand. Pulling him up I press my lips on his as he holds my waist. "I love you," I say into the kiss. "I love you too," He replies. Yourusername
