@techniiciian : lesson: sender teaches receiver a new skill. | action starters ᠂ ⚘ ˚
Matt’s technical intelligence was already unquestioned before Brienne found herself observing the radar tech reconstructing an old astromech droid piece by piece, explaining each tiny part, its name, its function, and how it connects to the others after being inserted into the empty metal shell. The latter looks worse for wear, the durasteel so beaten and unkempt that it might be better sent to the trash compactor than for repairs. But knowing Matt and his affinity for droids, he wouldn’t let that happen. Surely, he can get this one back in working order.
Tumblr media
“No wonder the wait for repairs is often to get the part rather than to fix it. There's so many.” Brienne chimes in thoughtfully as Matt shuts one hatch only to open another. The deluge of information might be too much for the financier to retain to repair a droid herself, but she does gain a valuable lesson in the number of parts it takes along with a few important part names she might just remember also. Maintenance droids exist for a reason, and if not, just call Matt.

give me your ted talk on how “e616 Matt wouldn't fit in Marvel Rivals bc his kit is already spread out to other characters but e138 Mattea would actually work out better” im here for it.
Sorry for the late response, but basically, Matt’s kit is already spread out to various characters:
-          Black Widow being the only one so far with batons to fight (Moon Knight’s truncheons are used as his melee)
-          Both Moon Knight and Punisher have grappling hooks for movement akin to Spider-Man and Venom webslinging
-          Black Panther, Iron Fist, Wolverine, Spider-Man, and a couple others deal with up close physical combat
The only new things that Matt would bring to the table is maybe his projectile weapon can be a baton that bounces off surfaces, similar to how MK system’s moonblades bounces off targets. The radar sense could also be an ability similar to a sonar that pings enemies for a short period of time (kinda like ow2 Hanzo’s sonar arrow or a tagging system like valorant Sova’s drone). But using Matt for just that especially when that could be given to other characters in the future doesn’t give much merit to him and doesn’t make him stand out that much against any other character.
Also, what would Matt’s ult even be?
Is he just going to lock in and go all out like Iron Fist does or would the radar sense be an ult similar to valorant Cypher’s ult where it tags locations of every enemy? It would only benefit him since he’s the one with the radar sense. What would the in-universe explanation be for him to share that ability with the others? It would make more sense if that ability was from a character experienced in tech. So far, a majority of the ults in Marvel Rivals deal some kind of damage unless ofc they’re a support class. And I don’t think Matt would fit for a support class of all things.
Mattea on the other hand.
Due to the fact that she’s also a drummer, that gives way more leniency when it comes to creating abilities for her in MR.
She could play a similar role to Storm where she’s a duelist while also helping others boost their damage. Instead of bouncing batons, she could throw various drum sticks that could bounce off surfaces.
(Enjoy my ms paint stick figure images lol):
Tumblr media
She could also do some close combat or have her pull out a mini drumset to deal damage as well. It could even stun the enemy right there too. Mattea could also work as a support class, similar to Luna Snow using music to heal, she could jam out and heal her surrounding teammates within the circle.
Tumblr media
The radar sense can be another ability and again, it could be like a sonar that pings enemies temporarily in an area. As for her ult, it could be a complete hardcore jam out session of Mattea on the drums, moving around in a ring that causes damage to enemies (and if we wanna go with the support aspect, the music ring could be a damage booster for nearby teammates). She could also synergize with Luna Snow and maybe even Moon Knight.
And even though you didn’t mention him, I’ll throw in my ideas as to how Sam Chung could work out better too:
Sam has multiple skills in his kit that includes hand to hand combat, gymnastics, invisibility, and engineering tech knowledge. He also has his fighting staff that he could use like how Magik uses her sword in the game. Maybe he could do some hack-and-slash type combos or his staff could be used to push back enemies or even stun them. He could spin on the staff like Dante in dmc 3 to hit multiple targets or dash in while spinning it.
The invisibility is used for stealth but unlike Psylocke’s as a temporary getaway, Sam’s could be more for intel kinda like tf2 Spy or ow2 Sombra (obv he wouldn’t be able to attack or use any other abilities while invisible). Sam’s tech skills could also be useful in terms of a support ability for the team. Maybe he could grant invisibility to someone or create temporary shields like how Wolverine and Venom would get them.
So for Sam’s ult he summons the same pit he threw Matt in from vol 5 and throws people- nah jk, I’m still trying to figure out ideas for his ult. It could be that spin attack from earlier, similar to Cloak and Dagger’s ult, but maybe it could lock enemies’ abilities temporarily forcing them to only use their primary fire.
Tumblr media
It can be an ult used for combos with other teammates and he can def synergize with Iron Fist and Moon Knight.
I hope all of that makes any sense as to why I think either Mattea or Sam would be better picks for them to have a Daredevil or a DD related character in Marvel Rivals.

twoweeker tuesday: redux
im really making a trend of two-weekin these huh. gonna try to Not do that bc it makes me way less likely to actually do it lol. speed-posting this before bed (and before the melatonin kicks my ass, i'm trying to reset my sleep sched a bit)
listening: hozier unreal unearth. sammy rae & the friends. leaving this pretty sparse because i don't want to dig back through my history for the past two weeks and that's definitely the bulk of it. some notes from the Release Radar(tm) that i like: good luck, babe! - chappell roan bell - rob blivion waiting. - pater ...all (feat jake clemons, live) - grouplove i had not my hat - tom rosenthal april 8, 2024: the great north american eclipse - sleeping at last (!!!) too sweet - hozier flea - st vincent lil' freak - bbno$
reading: finished the main bit of scum villain! i'm reading the extras now. officially read all three mxtx books
watching: FINISHED SERIAL EXPERIMENTS LAIN. i have so many thoughts. i was in delta-orionis' dms about it a bit but my ass has so many Notes. many thoughts. gnosticism mostly but also the obvious tech-as-extension-of-self throughline. idk it was a very weird show and i definitely need to re-watch it to let it sink in a little more.
playing: no games but a lot of horn! i have an audition tomorrow for the fall's campus ensembles, i am...not super confident about it tbh, unsurprisingly i am not back to where i was pre-pandemic so my upper range and endurance is still really crunchy.
making: i keep forgetting to charge my phone before pottery so it keeps. dying. so i made quite a few new things the past few weeks but no photos of those - i did Crack the Code a bit, so now i can more reliably get things shaped in a conscious way. basically i was sitting too far forward so when i was pulling the walls up i was actually doing it at an angle, if i sit with my nose over the center of the pot it's all *chef kiss* beautiful. anyways here's a few glaze related pics. a lot of disappointment unfortunately.
1. my fucked up teacups. god im so mad about these. they were supposed to be a cool grey-green with a white flower, and matte. it is None Of These Things. idk will get redone. big mad.
Tumblr media
2. bowl and mug that both got bubbles because i misread the glaze labels - they're both mayco glazes that are optimized for cone 05, not cone 5, so the both the color is not as good as i thought and also the surface variation is. not great. the bowl is acceptable, it's mirror blue, it went through the kiln again and the bubbles evened out (pic is from before), and plus it's on the outside - i just put plain white on the inside - so it's fine. the mug is a little more problematic. it was green slip sgraffito with evergreen fir over top, and i really love the color effect, but there's some small bubbles along the rim...this glaze was marked as food safe in a way that the mirror blue is Not so i thought it would be fine but. well. i'm hoping nuking it in the kiln again will smooth those out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. One Good Thing: trying a new glaze technique! someone in my studio does this gorgeous thing where she paints on flowers with underglaze, then covers them with liquid latex to paint on the background, and finally peels off the latex. it always comes out sooo nice, so when i ordered some more underglaze i went ahead and added liquid latex to cart too :3 this is just the flowers, i will be adding the background tomorrow!
Tumblr media
eating: uhhh good cauliflower vegetarian shawarma thing that i refused to make unless we added a can of chickpeas because where in the fuck is the protein. tonight was a miso-butter chicken with radishes that we added potatoes and onions to. both sheetpan recipes so im def a fan of those now.
misc: ouuuugh. augh. oughghghg. i need to be done with homework forever please god. i have like...7? 8? total hws left between my two classes. and then i am Done With Classes. mentally gearing up to do my preliminaries at the end of the summer. not to doxx myself but ouch. basketball yesterday. Pain. the eclipse yesterday WAS unreal. oh my god. i drove to [redacted] very small town about 40 minutes from me and it was perfect. so glad i avoided the Big City, although that's where my roommate and her mom went and apparently the traffic was fine, but i'm definitely glad to have been in a less crowded zone. i get it now. i want to take that feeling i had watching totality and eat it and keep it with me forever. i was with friends. the weather was perfect. it was beautiful.

Okay, no. You have to tell me about bruises verse mouse/Thomas ward, I am dying.
Yes, of course! I think about my collection of spoiled rich boys (and Matt) a normal amount!
Bruises 'Verse is an AU I developed back in my Marvel/Agents of SHIELD era set after everyone gets out of the Framework? But s5 and the whole time travel/space arc doesn't happen?
As per usual, under a read more because I can't shut up about anything ever
The very short version is that Leo Fitz leaves SHIELD to process all of that trauma, as well as the fact that Radcliffe is his biological father (anyone who followed me in that era knows my URL was holdendadcliffe, it's my favorite theory, I still think about it daily), and in a year moves to the PNW (some smaller town outside of Seattle, far enough from the city that he doesn't have to worry about anything, I was undecided on the details) and becomes a middle school science teacher. There, he also runs into his... they aren't exes, because they never defined their relationship, but they did go on a date before Leo got dragged into joining the field team with Jemma. He's my original character, his name is Matthew Scott, he's a good boy who has a medical degree but decided to give up on that dream and become a librarian, completely coincidentally, in the same small town that Leo ends up in.
I wrote a whole fic about it, but before his death in s3, Grant Ward (I love him, okay? I can and will write essays about him *Jay voice* in fact, I have. many times.) wrote letters for a few people in his life as a sort of... apology? He was really obsessed with the concept of "closure" in early s3, and I leaned into that while writing and developing this little universe. And those letters got left to Thomas, with the instruction to deliver the rest of them. He kind of just mailed off the others because *gestures to SHIELD and how they treated him* but he had to track down Leo because he didn't really leave a contact address with SHIELD and purposefully dropped off the radar because he also wants nothing to do with them.
And when Thomas drops off that letter for Leo, they kind of become friends? Thomas, who was floundering to get his life back after SHIELD disrupted it, who didn't want to go back to working at the bank they found him at because it's not a Safe Place anymore. So, he also moves to that little town, and does the first thing he can think of, which is going through the police academy and having a stable job so that he can hang out with friends (honestly, just Leo and Matt at that point) and pay rent and all that fun adult stuff that everyone hates.
Lately, I've been thinking about a lot of AUs where Mouse finishes his tour with the Army and returns to the States but doesn't go back to Chicago? I have thoughts about him going to Georgia, continuing his connection with the military and using it to get a job doing tech for them. I have thoughts about him going to Los Angeles and becoming a firefighter (the 911 crossover AU is NOT thought through yet don't ask about it for at least another week) or becoming private security or something for rich start up entrepreneurs. Things like that.
It occurred to me, a few months ago, that he could have also relocated to that same small town, and become a teacher (I especially thought about it after rereading @kitthekazoo's Community Garden fic, because teacher!Mouse my beloved) at the same school that Leo teaches at!
I just thought it would be funny if the tech boys with parental trauma and other causes of PTSD became best friends??? And Mouse and Matt would get alone great (tired homosexuals who are kind of over being dragged to the bar every week, because Matt is sober and Mouse is trying to avoid anything that might become a slippery slope for a while until he fully adjusts to being in Not A War Zone), and then... Thomas is kind of his type???
Detective? Complicated relationship with his brother? Pretty eyes?
Mouse is simple and I respect that.
Bonus: Matt and Tommy rolling their eyes when Leo and Mouse start talking about their students and completely forget that their boyfriends are there because they're unhinged little science nerds
I love the concept of smashing my blorbos together in a chaotic AU and seeing what my brain does. In this case, my brain said "boyfriends!" and now Mouse gets to actually date a detective and have friends and a life outside of that little cage he was in for most of his run on CPD, and I get to make him happy!
Fun fact: Tommy is a piece of shit (affectionate) and definitely calls Matt "Mascot" because Leo made the mistake of introducing him as "Matt Scott" and, uh... the joke was too easy he had to make it

LONG WISHLIST POST UNDER THE CUT. DM me if you're interested in starting any of these:
ALL POTC Characters: All curses at sea are broken with the destruction of Poseidon’s Trident, but there must always be someone to ferry the souls of those lost at sea to the afterlife, and with Will Turner escaping his fate on the Flying Dutchman, Davy Jones is recalled from the dead, a new curse reclaiming him in order to fulfill this purpose. After escaping it with his death, peace in the afterlife, he’s more livid than he was before. At Will Turner, at Jack Sparrow, at Calypso, the world.
Azriel - finding his mate please & thank (i have no stake in the ship wars like I’m down for either of the popular theories or also someone new thanks) Stannis - taking King’s Landing at the battle of the Blackwater. :)! Daisy - meeting with other former members of the band (sans Billy obviously) after the break up of the band because she was friendly with them Karen - running into other members of the band (especially Graham) years later Baron - Escaping prison and going after the Strongholds for revenge and finding out his own son is friends with Will Frank - Exploring other relationships within members of the Victory Project, besides his one with Alice (which I love) or Shelley (ditto) Loki - Tricking Thanos and not actually dying at the beginning of Infinity War and surviving the Snap (or dying in the Snap and coming back for the final battle but I prefer the former because Thor needs a goddamn break) Carolyn - surviving on the dark planet, somehow, healing after the stab and eating the creatures, repairing a ship and getting the hell out of there, running into other characters from the initial mission, or Riddick himself Madge - ending up in 13, having spent more time with Katniss’ family and Gale during the QQ, though her parents did not make it out 12. Being there for Katniss when she can be during her time in 13. Clemensia - Post the snake bite and into University, while still healing and reeling from the side effects of the snakes’ venom
Morrigan / Eris - Honestly, their marriage going through. I’m curious what would have happened. I’m also very interested to explore theories of what we THINK happened because context clues give us enough to know that Eris isn’t the guilty party. Tywin - Knowing or realizing that Arya was not who she claimed and taking her back with him to King’s Landing, but keeping her out of sight until after the wedding. Lily - More in any au where she apparates away with Harry to a safe house (Remus, Sirius, Dumbledore, Minerva, Molly, anyone in the Order). Harry Osborn - ANYTHING IN ANY VERSE HE’S MY BOY (he’s been neglected on my solo muse) Loki - His trick with Thanos being another feint: he’s duplicated himself once more, and reveals himself to Thor just after Thanos disappears and the ship explodes, both are saved by the Guardians. ETC. Ben / Adrian - Am I the only person who genuinely thought they were the best ship? That they absolutely loved each other in the end, until Mercy passed? Anyways, Mercy lives. And so thus do Ben and Adrian. Together. I can also see them moving past it if the show was so focused on having Ben be a pick me for Amy. Matt the Radar Tech - Running into SW people for laughs, them thinking he’s Ben. He’s not. They just look alike. A lot. Lily Page - Meeting her father (I still HC that as being Zorro) or repairing her friendship/relationship with Emma. Katniss - Instead of her tracker being cut out, it’s Peeta’s that is, and he is saved by 13, and she is taken to the Capitol to be tortured for information and to try and turn the tides against the Rebels. Bonnie - Someone love her please and don’t DIE IN THE MEANTIME. I’m a big fan of well done Bamon, Bonkai, Benzo, Bonora….But also could be convinced of anything. Rosalie - An idea being what if she was already married to Royce when he and his friends did what they did? The revenge plot takes an entirely different meaning when it’s a husband, particularly if she’s already been hoping for a child, which is further dashed by her survival and change into a vampire.
Nesta - accepting eris’ offer :)! Robb - making it to king’s landing and winning the war, liberating the North, and getting Sansa back to safety, then having to head out and find Arya. Violet - anything in her marvel or ouat verses tbh I spent a lot of time on those Shelley - taking over the Victory Project after killing Frank. Max - coming back after that summer for the start of college, much to everyone’s surprise and keeping his escapades close to the chest (idk the timeline of that show it was a fucking mess lmao) Mark, Lawrence - I want to write more about their dynamics with each other as apprentices to John. We only briefly get Mark and Amanda interacting - gimme more. Bruce - let’s throw out the entire mcu because it’s fucking trash for him thanks. Brunnhilde - More of her relationship with Carol :( Kamala - Building of the young avengers lets GOOO Loki - anything :( Sid - I am fuLLY CONVINCED SID IS THE FATHER AND JESSE IS A RED HERRING (I already have this going I just wish more people cared about HIMYF) Brian - Going to NY and seeing Justin again. :)! Snow White - anything :( Charming - I have about 90420934902 aus for him honestly. I have so many ideas for this stupid idiot. Neal - surviVING AND COPARENTING WITH EMMA AND REGINA SHIPS DON’T FUCKING MEAN YOU HAVE TO KILL A GOOD CHARACTER WHO LITERALLY WAS THE REASON RUMPLESTILTSKIN MANIPULATED REGINA INTO CASTING THE FUCKING CURSE MY GOD THIS SHOW PISSES ME OFF anyways Davy Jones - returning after the ‘curse’ is lifted from Will Turner, because someone must always be there to ferry the souls to the other side Ben Solo - ANYTHING :( Jyn - her and Cassian getting evacuated just before the explosion and surviving, assisting the Rebellion. Finn - training as a jedi (either trilogy re-write or post trilogy) Jar Jar - i s2g if someone doesn’t write with Sith Jar Jar… Anakin and Padme - either an au where she convinces him to run away with her and leave everything behind and raise their children on Naboo before Obi Wan shows up and he believes her when she says she didn’t know he was there and they enlist his help in staging their deaths OR an au where he convinces her to join him on his path to the dark side. (i write both so I’ll write either) Carolyn - escaping the dark planet after surviving the stabbing, living off of the creatures that would be her demise, fixing a ship in the darkness, built by lights she manages to fix throughout the rubble, and fires made along the way. finding other riddick characters / riddick himself Coriolanus Snow - Exploring more of his additions to the games and how he helped to curate them to be the spectacle they became. Annie - Not having anyone to volunteer for her so having to go through the Quarter Quell with Finnick (Hi I love PAIN). Not escaping the Arena and being taken back to the Capitol. Madge - Watching the Games with Katniss’ family and thus being there when the blackouts happen and escaping District 12 with Gale and everyone else to District 13. Kili - surviving PLS Renesmee Carlie - more of her dynamic growing up in a town that’s definitely got an attraction for the supernatural. Bella - not taking Edward back immediately, actually being pissed that he lied like what a dick Sam - imprinting on LEAH jfC WHAT A WASTE (or better yet, Leah being the first wolf to change and imprinting on HIM thanks) Garrett - torn between natural instincts, love for Kate, and never letting himself be tested by a challenge, learning how to survive and satiate on animal blood vs. human blood
Wishlist based solely on songs from TTPD. Please do not steal. Message me if interested. These are VAGUE IDEAS based on the song lyrics, not based on the history behind the songs or their literal meanings. Muses listed are just ideas, but they’re all open to all muses. Mentions of drug use, alcohol abuse, mental illness, abuse, etc. are involved in many so if those trigger you, I would not read more. This is part 1. I will put more at a later date:
Fortnight: A manic episode turned into full psychosis, muse A ends up in a psych ward. Muse B (either another patient or the treating doctor) and Muse A fall for each other, creating a scenario either in the minds or in the midst of Muse A being released. I love you, it’s ruining my life.
The Tortured Poets Department: Muse A and Muse B are in a situationship, but Muse A wants more, while Muse B is happy with their situation, considering the benefit of their freedom to explore other options, while both muses are using the relationship to advance their own perspective lives (either in writing, music, etc.). Muse A is desperate to keep Muse B, but Muse B is not committed. Who’s gonna hold you like me? Nobody. Nofuckingbody.
My boy only breaks his favorite toys: Muse A falls in love with Muse B, and is madly in love, until time has wasted away their relationship, and Muse A realizes they are not in love, but they also don’t want to be the one to end things. Endlessly breaking them down, emotionally, until Muse B ends it themselves. There was a litany of reasons why we could’ve played for keeps this time. — cause you should’ve seen him when he first saw me.
Down Bad: Falling for someone quickly and suddenly only to have them ghost, disappear, almost like they weren’t really there in the first place.
So Long, London: Muse A uproots their entire life to be with Muse B, moving far away from their home, friends, family, and essentially pours everything into the relationship. It’s great, for a while, and Muse A even falls in love with the place they live, but the messy breakup does cause it to be hard to leave. Eventually, Muse A does leave when the relationship shows no future, but moving on is harder than expected. And I’m just getting color back into my face. And I’m just mad as hell ‘cause I loved this place.
But Daddy I love Him: Muse A and Muse B are in a controversial relationship. Muse A is constantly warned by family and friends that Muse B is bad news. Everyone is constantly trying to get Muse A to leave Muse B, but they are far too deep into it now. I’ll tell you something right now, I’d rather burn my whole life down, then listen to one more second of all this bitching and moaning. I’ll tell you something about my good name, it’s mine alone to disgrace.
Fresh out the Slammer: Muse A has been in a long time relationship, but it’s ending quickly, and tumultuously, and as soon it’s over, they call Muse B, their ex (either relationship or situationship or hookup), because they want someone familiar, who they know they can love and who loves them in return. Fresh out the slammer I know who my first call will be to.
Florida!!!!: Muse A has had a messy breakup, and wants to escape. Muse B lives in a far off place, and invites Muse A to escape there, where they can be fun, and messy, and forget the past. Bury their ex’s in the swamp (figuratively) and move on. So I did my best to lay to rest all of the bodies that have ever been on my body.
Guilty as Sin?: Muse A and Muse B are dancing around each other, for several reasons. Fantasies aside, what is stopping them from taking the next step? What if he’s written 'Mine’ on my upper thigh only in my mind?
Guilty as sin Elriel plots when? OR Feysand? Fresh out the Slammer Neris plots when? Who’s afraid of little old me Nesta embracing Lady Death plots when? So long london Feyre about the Spring Court plots when? The Albatross being Nesta plots when? I hate it here Nesta plots when? The Prophecy Lucien plots when?

“Top Metal Carport Trends in 2025: Design, Customization, and More”
Gone are the days when metal carports were just bare-bones structures meant to park your car under. In 2025, they’ve taken on a whole new life—blending functionality with style, customization, and even tech-savvy upgrades. Whether you’re a homeowner, business owner, or just love staying ahead of the curve, these trends are shaping how people view and use metal carports this year.
At Millennium Buildings, we’ve been seeing a major shift in what our customers want. It’s not just about protection anymore—it’s about personalization, aesthetics, and long-term value. Here’s a closer look at what’s trending in the world of metal carports right now.
1. Color Customization is In
Neutral gray? Not anymore. One of the biggest trends we’re seeing in 2025 is a move toward color-coordinated carports that match your home or commercial building. Customers are opting for rich tones like forest green, slate blue, barn red, and even matte black to complement their property.
At Millennium Buildings, we offer a wide selection of colors for roof panels, trim, and side panels. You can mix and match to create a look that feels completely yours—because your carport should blend in or stand out, depending on your style.
2. Enclosed and Semi-Enclosed Designs
While traditional open-sided carports are still popular, many folks are now going for partially or fully enclosed carports to get a little more protection and privacy. Think of it like a garage-lite.
These updated designs can include side panels, back walls, or even roll-up doors—perfect for those who want to use their space for more than just parking. From outdoor workshops to RV storage and even entertainment areas, enclosed carports are offering more versatility than ever before.
3. Integrated Solar Panels
Yep, it’s 2025 and sustainability is on everyone’s radar. More customers are opting to integrate solar panels into their metal carports, creating eco-friendly structures that do double duty—protecting your vehicles and generating clean energy for your home or business.
Millennium Buildings has seen a growing interest in solar-ready frames, and we work with clients to ensure their structure is designed to handle the added weight and wiring needs of solar systems. It’s a win-win for your wallet and the planet.
4. Custom Sizes and Multi-Vehicle Options
As families grow and people invest in RVs, boats, ATVs, and more, the need for larger or multi-vehicle carports has skyrocketed. In 2025, it’s all about scale—custom sizing, taller roof pitches, and extra-wide clearances are in high demand.
Whether you need to cover two sedans or a 40-foot motorhome, Millennium Buildings makes it easy to size your carport to your needs, with options for extra leg height, reinforced trusses, and more.
5. Smart Add-Ons and Upgrades
Today’s carports are smarter than ever. Customers are adding motion-sensor lights, security cameras, and even Wi-Fi extenders to their carport spaces—especially for carports located farther from the main home or building.
We’ve also seen a rise in folks turning their carport into dual-purpose spaces, adding shelving, wall organizers, or even outdoor power outlets for tools and electric vehicles.
6. Aesthetic Roof Styles
Flat is out, style is in. Rooflines are getting more attention, with customers preferring A-frame vertical roofs or even gable ends for a more polished, garage-like appearance. These upgrades not only look great but also help with water drainage and durability—especially in snowy or rainy climates.
Millennium Buildings offers several roof styles to choose from, each engineered for function and form.
Final Thoughts: The Future is Custom
Metal carports in 2025 aren’t just shelters—they’re fully customizable structures that add value, curb appeal, and usefulness to your property. Whether you're looking for eco-conscious upgrades, stylish design elements, or just a solid solution that lasts for decades, today's metal carports deliver.
At Millennium Buildings, we're proud to be part of this evolution, helping customers build structures that go beyond basic. With so many design and customization options, the carport of your dreams is just a few clicks away.

Ghost Jets Tear Towards Area 51: Secrets in the Sky
Tumblr media
Wednesday hits, and three military jets—a hulking C-17 Globemaster and two slick Beechcraft King Airs—blast off from Nellis, Nevada. Target: Area 51. They rip over Tonopah, 60 miles out, then—bam—transponders go dark. Gone. ADS-B Exchange clocks them vanishing, and the hype ignites.
The C-17 hauls heavy muscle. The King Airs? Spy rigs or fast movers for light loads. Killing the signals mid-flight? That’s no drill—it’s black-ops vibes. Area 51, squatting by Groom Lake, is the ultimate enigma: U-2, SR-71, maybe ET tech. Don’t call it just a “test range.”
Janet Airlines has been at it forever—nameless 737s jetting from Vegas to the base, radar-dead every time. Air Force mumbles “classified ops” and shrugs. New stealth bird? Alien wreckage? Matt Lillywhite ain’t buying the tame excuse: “Too shady.” The 2019 storm-the-gates stunt flopped, but each caught flight cracks the silence. Answers? Zilch. The desert’s got the truth locked tight.

@techniiciian : relax. it's happy hour. | the god of the woods. ( accepting ) ᠂ ⚘ ˚
A datapad is clenched to the chest of the funding manager. A determined but frenzied look holds her eyes forward as blocky heels click-clack down the steel corridor. No meeting she’s late for this time. She’s not lost, finally having found her bearings around the base. Instead, the agenda is to have this financial forecast signed and sent to Soon-Blas Corp before the end of the day. Tracking down her superior is taking her in circles.
The unruly blonde curls of the tall radar tech are spotted before his companion droid trailing by his side gains a friendly glance. No matter her lack of time, Brianne cannot in good conscience deprive any of her friends of a greeting, especially not Matt. Her steps slow to a halt at his side.
Tumblr media
“Good afternoon. You busy? I’m trying to find General Hux and well, failing.” She says in mild exasperation, sight drifting back down the corridor as if she’d catch sight of the ginger-haired officer.
relax. it's happy hour.
The mention brings her sight back only for it to widen in surprise. If that's the case, it's later than she realized. “Already? … Wait. You don’t think he’d be there, do you?”

Although Zack Snyder's directorial debut was a remake of Mad Max (1979), he probably arrived on most people's radar with his adaptation of the comic Gods Of Egypt. Impressed by audience feedback, Warner Brothers tapped him to direct their adaptation of Worm Turns, which they intended to be a film series. Although Worm Turns Arc 1 was a superficially faithful and generally popular adaptation, Alan Moore disowned it, as with all adaptations of his work, and moreover it underperformed studio expectations. The sequel, which was intended to adapt the second quarter of the graphic novel, died in development hell after negotiations with Johnny Depp stalled out. Anna Kendrick's casting as Taylor Hebert was always very love-it-or-hate-it; she would go on to become a frequent Snyder collaborator, playing Lilly Akemi in Snyder's original project Madoka as well as Natasha Romanova in Warner Brothers' ill-fated MCCU, which Snyder helmed. Most of Snyder's films have extended cuts that are very long and very different; it took much fan outcry to get the "Snyder Cut" for The Avengers (which Joss Whedon took over mid-production) completed and released.
Matt Groening is an American cartoonist best known for creating the long-running animated sitcom Married With Children. Although he started out his career with alt comic Fritz The Cat, he'd find much more mainstream success with the Bundy family, which he initially conceived of on the spot simply to avoid losing the Fritz rights. Married With Children was transgressive and countercultural when it premiered - it drew complaints from the president about its subversive content! - but as the years have gone by, it's become passe and is practically seen as a wholesome PG-rated merchandising staple. It's been outmoded by a whole industry of "adult cartoons" that seek to outedge one another, including similarly iconic long-runners Johnny Bravo (by Seth McFarlane) and Peanuts (by Trey Parker and Matt Stone). Groening may be better-respected for The Jetsons, a sci-fi successor to Married With Children; however, they're both undead shows, Married With Children being a zombie that's kept going long after it should have stopped and The Jetsons getting cancelled and picked back up over and over and never quite seeming to come back right. Groening's take on isekai fantasy, Amphibia, remains a relatively obscure Netflix exclusive.
James Cameron has a lot of big IPs to his name. He may be best-known for the RoboCop franchise he launched in 1984, but he's set the record for highest grossing film of all time twice, and both were unrelated to it. His Die Hard sequel, Die Harder, has generally overtaken the original in the popular consciousness; Sigourney Weaver reprised her role as Jane McClane. His 1997 historical epic Pearl Harbor made almost two billion dollars in its initial theatrical run; his 2009 space opera Star Wars made almost three. Cameron is still working on various sequels and prequels to Star Wars today, but he faces multiple severe problems in doing so. Although the original film was very successful financially, it left next to no impact on popular culture; most audience members simply enjoyed it as a tech demo for new-at-the-time CG technologies, and saw the characters and plot as a generic placeholder. Moreover, Cameron's perfectionism has gotten the best of him and produced an absurd thirteen-year gap between Star Wars and its first sequel, Star Wars: Into The Ice, giving whatever impact the original film had even more time to fade.
The MIB Wiki is a collective writing project originally born on Craigslist, although it moved to Wikia early on. It consists largely of (heavily redacted) in-universe immigration documents processed by the titular organization, which handles travel to and from Earth for all manner of extraterrestrial, supernatural, and otherwise abnormal entities. The Men In Black keep the peace and maintain the illusion of normalcy for the public. Per community consensus, they're generally depicted as the heroes, but their methods tend towards the darker end of morally grey. The site's early period is often looked back on now as an old shame, although it produced many of the most iconic passports; author avatars of moderators and power users, like Agents J and K, ran amok, "deporting" particularly unpopular new articles in overwrought takedown stories that eschewed the line between in-universe and out-of-universe drama. Writing standards are often said to have been lower back in the old days. Even the article that got it all started - "Jimmy the Weeping Angel" - hasn't aged particularly well. Its picture was taken from a real sculpture without the sculptor's permission - that was just the culture on Craiglist in the 2000s - and its general concept was clearly copied from an episode of Chris Carter's Foundation that had aired earlier that month.
Lightning round! The X-Files is a Netflix cartoon about conspiracy theories created by Shion Takeuchi, which was suddenly cancelled after a single (two-part) season and a cliffhanger. Inside Job is a YA anthology cartoon created by Owen Dennis for Cartoon Network, which got jerked around for four short seasons before being deleted from HBO Max by David Zaslav. Crazy Train is a much-rebooted Hanna-Barbera cartoon from the 1960s about a group of children who find themselves transported to a mysterious train. The Mystery Gang is one of numerous ghostwritten children's pulp adventure series from the early twentieth century; contrary to popular misconception, the dog did not actually speak in the original books. Daniel Handler created the popular Tom Swift series as a dark parody of this (already antiquated at the time) genre. Roald Dahl wrote A Series Of Unfortunate Events, and its villain Count Olaf has been portrayed by Gene Wilder, Johnny Depp, and Timothée Chalamet in assorted adaptations and spinoffs of varying quality. Willy Wonka is the beloved and charismatic star of a series of educational cartoons (originally picture books) from the '90s, The Chocolate Factory; in every episode he would put the children in mortal peril to illustrate some scientific point. Ms. Frizzle, originally voiced by Justin Roiland, is the title character of a popular adult cartoon about a manic schoolteacher with magical powers, and is largely a parody of Willy Wonka specifically. Pendleton Ward is best-known for creating one of Cartoon Network's most recognizable properties, Science Time, about a boy's adventures with his demented inventor grandfather. Ooo, Aaa, Eee, Uuu is a weird fantasy webcomic created pseudonymously by Abbadon, originally published as a quest on the MSPA Forums contemporaneously with later installments of Scott Pilgrim. Kiss Six Billion Demons is an indie horror game set up as a faux dating sim, created by Dan Salvato. Dana Terrace produced Doki Doki Literature Club for the Disney Channel, as a weeb-inspired postmodern take on older high school drama cartoons like Happy Days and As Told By Veronica Mars; despite its popularity it was cancelled for being too gay.
And so we return to J. K. Rowling. Certainly, when Luz Noceda and the Lying Witch first came out, it was immediately subject to intense censorship campaigns from religious watchdog groups; that's kind of just what you get by default for writing a children's fantasy novel where the oppressed inhuman creatures are called "demons", the central villain is a corrupt Christian zealot turned necromancer, and we are eventually introduced in later sequels to a background race of angels (not explicitly named as such, but symbolically obvious) who are shown to be cruel and xenophobic. However, these protests failed to prevent the series from becoming an international, culture-moving phenomenon. Billions of movie tickets were sold. A generation is nostalgic. Last year, Hexside Legacy made back its money on name recognition alone.
Nowadays, with the developing story on Rowling, relevant criticism of the series' content is much easier to find coming from a progressive direction. The Luz Noceda books lean heavily into the idea of the "Burning Times", a pop feminist and neopagan mythologization of the early modern witch trials as an exaggerated microcosm of all patriarchal oppression. Rowling essentially blames the witch hunts for all colonialism, and diagnoses the United States' particular problems as a consequence of its Puritan roots. When the books were new, it was common to see fans celebrate this stance as anti-colonial and anti-American; however, with the benefit of hindsight, we can see that her actual intent was to absolve Britain, her home country, which she has always been something of a chauvinist for.
Although Luz Noceda was undoubtedly groundbreaking for gay representation in children's literature, it's very easy to overstate matters. It took five books for deuteragonist Willow Park's fathers to be confirmed gay in-text; an illustration in an earlier edition of Luz Noceda and the Heroine of Stone seems to have been under the impression that it was a divorce-and-remarriage situation. Although there is some foreshadowing for the Luz/Amity relationship - particularly in Luz Noceda and the Gromethean Sacrifice - it was almost universally regarded as deranged fanon before the final book, and a significant fraction of the audience didn't even get it then. Several antagonists are described in transmisogynistic terms, most notably Terra Snapdragon.
And as long as we're talking about characters who were written as offensive stereotypes, Tibbles is coded as a classic unscrupulous Jewish peddler caricature. Of course, many background demons and witches throughout the series are also incompetently appropriations of Native American lore. There is sometimes an attempt at AAVE with Gus. The narration repeatedly favorably compares Luz's appearance to Willow's because the latter is fat, and highlights Willow losing weight as part of her character arc.
And Adam Sandler did Austin Powers!
Terrible Visions
A scrambled timeline is a timeline that has proceeded much like ours, except that some particular facet has been mixed up all over the place. For example, in the scrambled timeline we will consider today, our world's fictional stories have been told by different people, and in different ways.
Bryan Lee O'Malley, in this alternate timeline, is best known as the cartoonist responsible for Homestuck, a popular comic series about a group of children who become embroiled in a cosmic-scale video game known as Sburb. Although Homestuck is probably most often associated with the cult classic Edgar Wright-directed film adaptation released in 2016, the comics themselves are highly-regarded, and the film brought a new audience to them. Netflix has commissioned an animated continuation, The Homestuck Epilogues, which is due to be released soon.
Andrew Hussie, on the other hand, is a figure you're likelier to know if you're overly online. His "MS Paint Adventures" series - most notably including Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, which is kind of like Homestuck but weirder and hornier - have firmly remained a fixture of obsessive Twitter fandom culture. It doesn't help that the best-known iteration, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, is infamous for stretching thousands of pages of meandering digressions out of a simple and focused narrative starting point. Scott Pilgrim fans have developed something of a toxic reputation, which is not entirely deserved - although of course Knives discourse is interminable, and back in the fandom's heyday there were reportedly incidents of fans assaulting each other "for being evil exes".
Scott Pilgrim fandom was very big back in the day, though, and consequently it was a nexus for other creative figures who would go on to surpass Hussie. Perhaps foremost among these is indie developer Toby Fox. He was literally living in Hussie's basement when he produced ROSEQUARTZ, a universally-beloved retro Goonies-like RPG about a human hybrid boy born to a race of gem-based aliens. He's now developing an episodic spiritual successor, RAZORQUEST, with more overtly dark themes. It revolves around an inheritance dispute among a demon-summoning family.
Other foundational figures in this timeline's internet culture include Alison Bechdel, who helped get the webcomic scene started. Although she's now more seriously acclaimed for her personal memoirs, her gaming webcomic Press Start To Dyke, which premiered in 1998, was once everywhere. It had a broad appeal, and at its height, it was common to see even straight guys sharing pages from it. Time has not been especially kind to it, though, and at this point its main legacy is test.png, a meme spawned by one of the comic's most ill-advised pages.
Then there's John C. McCrae, more often known by his pseudonym Wildbow. A prolific and reclusive author of doorstopping "web serials" - long-form fiction published online - McCrae's best-known serial is still his first, Wind, a noir superhero story set in an alternate history where capes are mostly just a subculture of unpowered vigilantes. Wind landed in a culture already rife with comic book deconstructions, like Alan Moore's 2002 graphic novel Worm Turns, but it nonetheless managed to stand out from the pack with its extensive cast of characters and its themes of coordination problems and the end of the world. Later McCrae web serials include Part (the first "Otherverse" serial; an urban fantasy story about a couple who die in a car accident and find that they have become ghosts), Tear (a "biopunk" story set in a collapsing underwater city), Warn (the controversial Wind sequel), and Play (the second "Otherverse" serial, set in a small Indiana town that helps hide a psychic girl from the CIA).
Last and perhaps least, we should discuss J. K. Rowling. Far and away the most famous of any of these authors, Rowling's name is inseparable from the YA series that she debuted with, the Luz Noceda books, which remain her one successful work. Although it was heavily derivative of older fantasy novels - like Jill Murphy's Academy For Little Witches, or Philip Pullman's Methods Of Rationality trilogy - Luz Noceda was still a monumental and unprecedented success in the publishing industry, and the film adaptations were consistent blockbusters. The final book, Luz Noceda and the Watcher of Rain, contained some allusions to a romantic relationship between Luz and her recently-redeemed associate Amity. Rowling confirmed that this was her intent in subsequent interviews and indicated that she had fought her publishers for it; the film would then go on to escalate matters slightly further.
There have been many lengthy and heated online arguments as to whether the references in the book itself constitute text or mere subtext. Whatever your stance on this discourse, a new complication has been introduced recently: although she has put out no official statement on the matter as of yet, it has become quite apparent from Rowling's shrinking network of contacts and her conspicuous silences that she is certainly TERF-sympathetic, and likely an outright TERF herself. For many, this is leading to a critical reevaluation of the social values inherent in the Luz Noceda series; others, to say the least, are holding off on that kind of reappraisal.
Anyway, Scott Pilgrim just beat Luz Noceda in a Twitter poll for Most Gay Media, and people are piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiissed
