Dave Eringa looks like a contemporary figure thanks to his Manic association. I mean, he gets called by the old rockers a lot thanks to his collaboration with Manic Street Preachers. I assume these rock figures wish to become sonically cool again, though a funny fact might be most of their efforts look back. For instance, Roger Daltrey took a break from one of the Who reunions to record As Long As I Have You, which fits his career at the current point. There is a sense of wistfulness present here and Mr. Eringa plays along. However, this shouldn't be seen as a nostalgia trip, where an old singer covers his favourites. He does put some of his originals here, yet the entire mood wavers between elegiac and affirmative.

hi! I only know you through @accidental-spice and @kanerallels but I saw you talking about Daredevil and specifically Fisk... I was wondering if you've seen the Disney+ Hawkeye show and if you had any thoughts on the portrayal of that character between the two shows?? like similarities, differences, any criticisms you might have? I'm only a secondhand Daredevil fan (no Netflix) so I don't know a whole lot. :)

hi!! so i'm actually not that into marvel, like i've watched a good chunk of the movies and shows but i wouldn't call myself a fan. that being said i have not watched hawkeye but my younger sister is in love with everything marvel and was telling me about fisk in hawkeye so ik some things.

i was telling her that if fisk is the villain in hawkeye the show is going to have to explain a lot of things. like #1 how did he get out of prison? #2 if he's in hawkeye does that mean daredevil is going to be involved as well since daredevil is the main guy against fisk? #3 if daredevil does make an appearance in hawkeye how is the storyline going to fit with the spiderman movie bc of matt's (daredevil's) appearance there? #4 why not have a daredevil s4 if matt (daredevil) and fisk are popping up in other shows and movies????!??!?!?!??!

from my limited pov i think the plot is kind of disorganized (once again i want to state i haven't watched hawkeye or any of tom holand's spider man movies so i could be wrong) and it seems like fisk and daredevil were thrown in last minute. idk how the writers are going to incorporate all their stories smoothly but i do hope they do a good job

Different anon, but I can see Ace and Deuce still having a British accent in a dub. Ace I imagine having one similar to Tom Ellis (the guy who played Lucifer) or Matt Ryan (guy who played Constantine). I can see Deuce having an accent like Tom Holland.

That'll suit them pretty well! I can see then having the British accent, especially Deuce with an accent like Tom Holand's. You know the thing is they're capable of having different accents, not just British. I think normal american accent and other accents would suit them too? I'd mostly prefer Deuce to have a british accent but for Ace...I'd really love to see him having a Californian accent! I really like the Californian accent myself and I can totally imagine Ace having one. Honestly I can't decide on a specific accent for these two, plenty of great accents would work for them!

I think he's always been aware of his self-destructive tendencies. Remember that Q TV interview during the Humbug days? In the end he says something like "the other option was self-destruction." I know he could be joking but there's usually a bit of truth in jokes. And on Jools Holand he said "I make it like I ride hard but I'm just a terrible poser." He knows there's a lot of perks that comes with the lifestyle but I don't think he feels he was 100% born for it.

I agree with that. He knew that wasn’t his natural fate. He’s the reluctant rock star. I mean they had lined up two frontmen before Alex even had to step up because he didn’t want to do it. Someone with his personality type shouldn’t be a frontman, usually. Matt would’ve been more equipped for this.

I feel like more and more he turns into that ‘suffering artist’ kinda type. He either has to struggle for the art or he struggles with the side effects.
