For the Blorbo and gang ask game: Xenoblade my beloved

blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most): Dunban my beloved <3 To no one's surprise my favorite is the dark-haired swordsman with Angst because I am nothing if not predictable, but I also love thinking about his life before the game (what he and Fiora went through when younger, his life in the Defense Force, his relationships with Dickson and Mumkhar, the Battle of Sword Valley and how he dealt with the aftermath, etc.) and how he felt as the oldest member of the party traveling the Bionis as he is actively coping with Early Plot Events (redacted for spoilers). Peak "it could be that deep" character and also he's pretty and funny and angrier than he'd like to be but very kind when it counts. 10/10 blorbo from my games.

scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped): RIKI [ten billion heart emojis]!!! The Most Shaped main party member and also his theme is a bop. Also Melia, great character/combat design and also the best character in the game imho.

scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave): SHARLAAAAAA, she deserves so much more love!! I realize this is partly because the writers skimped on her character arc and depending on how you set up your party she might get pushed to the side but STILL. I want her and Dunban to be friends and bond over Oldest Sibling Who Raised Their Younger Sibling experiences.

glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week): I mean I don't talk about him much but I actually rather liked Gadolt? Listen the Sharla/Reyn/Gadolt OT3 would be so powerful. Also Tyrea, she's fun and adds chaos to any situation

poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave): DICKSON MY BELOVED. Horrible Hulk Hogan-looking mf. Shan't say exactly why he's a controversial fave but GOD he fills me with delight every single time he's onscreen. Pathetic because of his...affiliation and for sticking to his guns for No Good Goddamn Reason even though I think in his heart of hearts he would have preferred not to (but he would rather die than admit that). Absolute bastard I love him so much. Shoutout to Anthony May for giving a great vocal performance, we love classically trained actors doing bideo jame roles and fully committing to the Drama. Egil is my other poor little meow meow in the more classic sense of the term but I had to talk about Dickson SOMEWHERE.

eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell): LORITHIA and also that one Nopon NPC in Satorl Marsh who makes you do like twelve thousand sidequests on one of the most annoying maps in the game
