I haven’t been myself for about a year. 2021 has been a rough one for me medically and mentally. I have talked about and thought about quitting longarming more times than I can count! BUT when @helloiamjoshuajames talked of selling my machine… I always told him NO!! I will keep it until I DIE! So here is a long story about a quilt that helped me get my “sewjo” back! This quilt is from a lovely friend and client her in FL. Lorraine M. When I say I LOVE her.. I mean I literally enjoy her every moment. I also enjoy her quilts. This quilt is called #marymannakkee. I have seen exactly TWO of these quilts finished in my 23 years of quilting. This one is Lorraine’s. It took her 14 years to hand Applique. I am not even sure HOW long it took me to quilt. You see I was in a funk so it was on a VERY along time. Lorraine waited. She had a deadline. I went atleast a couple weeks past that deadline. Here you can see the marks I used with a water soluble marking pen. (I use these all the time) This pen is removed with water… NORMALLY.
