Paris Reacts to Nature is No Picnic Up Close
Tumblr media
Akuma Class
After the past two weeks, with no TV or electronic devices, the class finally found a way to watch Total Drama Island. While on their usual walk at the shopping mall, they found a little restaurant that is called Addict Yourself. A restaurant that has every single electronic device the world has ever had. They even have DVRs for those who want to catch up on movies and episodes of their favorite shows that they might have missed. It was like they all had died and went to heaven. Adrien could never forget the time he and his friends watched the third episode of the show.
As they all got together to watch the third episode, they were shocked and surprised to learn about Lucy and the chained kunai debacle. When they hear about Lucy's family not doing technology, they are completely shocked. "Then what does she do for fun?" "Does she stare at the wall or something?" "How does she even talk to her friends?" "Why can't her family do technology like us?" Even Adrien couldn't believe that the Corleones don't do technology, he was even afraid to tell his father that.
When they finished the third episode and moved on to the fourth one, they were shocked and happy that Marinette was now a member of the MetaBetas. Even Adrien was proud of her. He was so proud that he wanted to tell the world that his friend was now a member of a popular idol group. Yet, they still can't get in touch with the girl. But they know that when she gets back, they will be happy to have her to show others how amazing she is. And hoping that she would drop on hurting Lila and they would all be friends again.
When they all got together, they were happy to see the show again as it now starts.
"Last time on Total Drama Island, a talent contest brought out the best and worst in our campers. It was awesome. And while Lucy and Marinette were occupied taking an urgent phone call, the Killer Bass struggled to find any talent on their team. And Bridgette's clumsiness pretty much knocked out their best prospect...Courtney. Gwen stood up to Heather for Marinette. So Heather swore to make both Gwen's and Marinette's lives miserable. Starting by stealing Marinette's diary. Then she tries to read it in front of the entire viewing world. But it then backfired when the box that holds Marinette's diary trapped her hand in the nick of time. Man, was that a close one." "You said it, Chris," Alya said, crossing her arms and smiling proudly at her friend's diary box. "Then Heather managed to save her butt by convincing the rest of the team to vote off Justin "McGorgeousness." Who will be the next one to walk off this lame dock? Find out tonight in the most dramatic marshmallow ceremony ever on Total Drama Island."
After watching the usual theme, they watch as Marinette and all of the other campers are in the campsite, and Chris tells them something. "Campers, today's challenge will test your outdoor survival skills. I'm not gonna lie to you, some of you may not come back alive. Just joking." he laughed. "It's not even funny." one of the Addict Yourself waiters said, walking past the teenagers. "All you have to do is spend one night in the woods. Everything you need is at your team's campsite in the forest. You just have to find it." Chris then tosses Lucy and Duncan a map and a compass for each of the two of them. "Oh, and watch out for bears. Lost a couple of interns in preproduction." the class's eyes widened when they heard that coming out of Chris's mouth. They were more shocked when they started to hear Lucy talk after, "I'm sure we'll keep that in mind," she said, looking unamused and handing Gwen the map and compass. "You sure are fearless all of a sudden," Gwen said, looking at Lucy surprised. "Well, you could say that this isn't the first time I was in the great outdoors," Lucy explained as she got her BerryPod and earphones out. Before any of the class can react and question where Lucy got the BerryPod, they see her confessional.
"I'd just like to thank my friend Angie for this BerryPod and earphones." Lucy said, holding a light purple sticky note that says in violet-purple pen, 'Just thought you might need it while at camp-Angie.' "Oh, that's where she got it from," Rose said, now understanding where Lucy got the BerryPod from. "I know I said my family doesn't do technology like everyone else, but there is one thing I miss doing back home, and that is listening to my music in my record player." "A what player?" "What the heck is a record player?" "How does she listen to music with a record player?"
"My favorite music I like to play is classical, all songs from the 1950s to the early 2000s. In other words, from 2000 to 2009." "What? What about the songs we have? Doesn't she like those too?" "Some 2010 songs I can tolerate, notice I said I only like some of them. I have reasons why." "That doesn't make any sense. What's wrong with the songs we have?" Anyway, I'm still grateful for Angie giving me this. Thanks, Ang. I owe you one." she said, waving at the camera to her friend. "Hope Marinette can bring Lucy with her when she gets back. That way, we can show her and her family what they're missing." Nino suggested. Alya and the others agreed, thinking it would be a great idea to help the Corleones see how wonderful life is with phones, laptops, and other stuff that would be very useful for them to have.
After that, they continue watching the show. "First team back for breakfast wins invincibility." Chris then blows his airhorn while some of the campers get up from their seats and start walking. "Well, off you go." "Did he say there are bears up in here?" asked Leshawna. "I had a little encounter with a bear once," said Owen. "Let's just say his head looks real nice up on my mantel." "Lucky," Kim commented. "Oh, this one time, I saw a bear eating our garbage. He had old spaghetti noodles hanging from his big, huge teeth, and it looked like blood and guts." Izzy explained. Most of the students and some of the people who walk past them look pretty shocked hearing that from Izzy. Some looked disgusted even. Juleka, on the other hand, looked amazed hearing that. "It was so gross. And we thought he was eating the neighbor's cat, Simba. But it turned out he was just lost for a week." Rose sighed in relief hearing that. Juleka smiled, even though she was amazed about the bear, but she was also glad that the cat was okay.
After that, the scene changed to the Screaming Gophers heading over to their campground. Marinette is walking with Lucy while she (Lucy) is already listening to some classical music played by Mozart on her BerryPod and earphones. "Man, that music sounds like unicorn barf!" Kim groaned in disgust, covering his ears. Nino nodded in agreement while looking disgusted. "What are you talking about? There's nothing bad about classical." a person said behind him. "There's EVERYTHING bad about classical!" Kim and Nino complained in unison. Adrien's heart starts to ache as he watches Trent walk with Marinette, and the two of them look happy.
They then watch as Heather scoffs and rubs her hand and wrist. "She is so the next one to leave." she said. "Who?" Beth asked. "Who do you think? She had her box trap my hand in front of everyone." "Uh, no. It closed and trapped your hand by itself to protect Marinette's secrets from you. Maybe you should've stuck to dancing instead of trying to read someone's private life out loud to the public." Alya said, crossing her arms and glaring at Heather. "Yeah, but you did almost read her diary out loud to the whole entire world. ALMOST." Gwen pointed. "That's what I've been saying!" Alya explained. But hearing that from Gwen made Heather stand her ground, making the other Screaming Gophers behind her stop. "So?" "So, that was pretty harsh," Gwen said, with Cody nodding in agreement. "Exactly! She's just as worse as Chloe!" Adrien was about to say something until Heather continued, "She is so going down," Before any of the students can react and say something, they watch as the scene changes to Trent and Marinette still walking to their location until they both hear a scream behind them. They turned to look back and saw Heather hiding behind Owen, shaking in fear. "Jeez, what scared her all of a sudden?" one of the waitresses said, looking at Heather oddly, then continued on walking to take people's orders.
"What's wrong?" Marinette asked. Heather tries to tell them while pointing at Lucy, but all that comes out of her mouth are sputters and stutters. However, when they all watch as the scene changes to Lucy, all they see is Lucy still walking and listening to Mozart. "Okay, seriously, I'm gonna puke if I hear another one of that unicorn barf." Kim complained. Nino nods in agreement. "Lucy isn't doing anything, Heather." Marinette and Trent then continue walking, catching up to Lucy.
Along with the rest of the Screaming Gophers following along with them. Heather was both shocked and in disbelief about none of the Screaming Gophers believing her when she saw what happened that might've involved Lucy. Seeing Heather's shocked expression made Adrien look back at the shocked faces of Marinette, Chloe, and Sabrina. He can never forget the time that he told Chloe and Sabrina the truth about Lila after Chloe demanded him to tell him why Marinette is in Total Drama. He was even upset that Chloe stopped talking to him. Chloe and Sabrina both. He just doesn't understand why people can't see that he's trying to make people see that lies don't hurt anyone and they should just let it all go.
After Heather's unexcusable confessional, the scene changes to the Screaming Gophers finally arriving at their campsite. When Owen pointed out that there were no food supplies, Lucy explained to him that the challenge was a survival task. "Lucy's right. Look at the instructions," said Trent. After a bit of watching the show, Heather explains while reading they're supposed to find their own food. "I don't see it," she said. "I think they mean in the woods, Heather," Marinette said, pointing at the words that were in small font in the instructions. "Leave the food finding to me," Lucy said loudly, getting out a fishnet and a spear. They all looked surprised, seeing that Lucy had a fear and fishnet. "Where did Lucy get those?" "Where did that girl get the spear and fishnet?" Leshawna asked, pointing to the two things in Lucy's hands. "She probably got them from Chris or Chef," Heather said, rolling up the map. They then watch Lucy's confessional. "Actually, they are my stuff one of my relatives gave me one summer," Lucy said, holding up an old photo of her tween self, holding the same spear and fishnet. "Like I said, it's not the first time I was in the great outdoors." "Wow, I never knew that Lucy was a pro of this." "She's so gonna win with the Screaming Gophers." two of the teen customers said, walking past the students.
They then watch as the scene changes to the Screaming Gophers's campsite already set, and they are all waiting for Lucy to come back. They then see the camera turning to a pizza guy, asking who ordered a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese. One of the cameramen then calls out to the pizza guy, saying, "It's for the camera crew, over here." "No way," Heather said in disbelief. "For once, I agree with Heather." Alix admits. Her friends all agreed with her. "Yeah, they could've at least order some for them too." "Well, this is a survival task. I don't think they mean we can't use any modern things like ordering food." Marinette said, with Trent and Gwen nodding in agreement. "Well, Marinette does make a point there." Adrien said, making Max, Ivan, and Mylene nod in agreement.
"Alright, I'm back," Lucy called out, with a fish in her spear and thirteen fish in her fishnet. "Oh. My. Gosh." one of the teenage girl customers at one table said, looking shocked, seeing Lucy had caught a lot of fish. The Akuma Class on the other hand, too looked shocked, yet surprised, amazed, and impressed with Lucy catching all of those fourteen fish.
After a while of watching the Killer Bass and the B.F.F.F.L's, the scene changes to the Screaming Gophers again, where they watch as they're cooking some of the fish Lucy caught. "Alright, fire's hot, fish is grilling, and we already got the tent set up." Lucy said as she looked at the tent, and Marinette looked at the fish. "Nice going, Lucy, fish looks awesome." "Thanks. I owe it all to my relatives back home." Lucy explained.
"Lucy must've got an amazing family back home." Adrien said, looking impressed, along with Nino nodding in agreement. "She's so lucky. Her family must be so cool teaching her cool things." Kim said, feeling a bit jealous. Alya nods in agreement, feeling a little bit more jealous than Kim is. Adrien tries to tell them that there's no need to be jealous about it until they hear Heather start asking something. "Hey, has anyone seen Crazy Girl?" she asked. "I think she had to use the can." Owen guessed. "But that was over an hour ago." Trent said. The Akuma Class looks to worry for the Screaming Gophers while they (the Screaming Gophers) are calling out Izzy's name. Just then, Owen notices the bushes rustling and heads over to it in relief.
"Good. I thought we lost you there for a minute, man," he said, walking over to the bush. But he then stopped when he saw that it was not Izzy. Instead, it was a bear that was growling. "Great Pyramid of Giza!" Owen screamed. The Akuma class and some of the other people in the restaurant looked shocked to see a bear on TV, growling at the Screaming Gophers. "AAH! WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE! WE'RE GONNA GET EATEN ALIVE BY A BEAR! OH, THE HORROR!" Owen screamed while running around in fear. As Owen continues screaming, Heather trips him, making him snap out of it. Heather then panics a bit and quickly tells the Screaming Gophers, "The trees! Climb into the trees!"
The scene then changes to Marinette and Lucy walking in the woods, calling out Izzy's name, and looking for her. The Akuma Class sighed in relief, knowing that Marinette was okay. They then watch as they walk into the Killer Bass's campsite. "Well, well, well. Look who finally decided to join us." Duncan said, crossing his arms. "Funny, Juvie," Lucy said. "Hey, have you guys seen Izzy?" "No, sorry, Lucy," Courtney said. "Man, that bambina is gonna put us six feet under. Thanks." but before Lucy and Marinette can continue with their search for Izzy, they both notice the rabbit in D.J.'s arms. "Where'd you find that?" she asked as she and Marinette sat down. Before the Akuma Class can react and D.J. can answer the question, an owl is heard, and Bridgette is startled by the sound. "It's okay, Bridgette. It's just an owl." Marinette said, comforting her. "Sorry, I just get really freaked out in the forest," Bridgette said. "Hey, if it's any consolation, sometimes nature is a wonder to behold." Before Rose and Mylene could agree with that fact, Lucy continued, "Well, not all the time, honestly," "Why? What's wrong with it?" Harold asked. Lucy crosses her arms, looking down, saying, "Well, it's kinda hard to explain, really." "Huh, I thought you said that it wasn't the first time you were in the great outdoors," Duncan said. "I did. But sometimes nature is, honestly, no picnic. Asides from being in one that is bear-country on one side of it, and dealing with..." The class, the people in the restaurant, Marinette, and the Killer Bass looked surprised seeing this new thing of Lucy. Lucy crossed her arms, held herself tightly, never letting herself go, looking down, not feeling comfortable continuing on, shaking as if she experienced something traumatizing, and her face looked like she was scarred for life.
"Jeez. Why did Duncan have to smart-mouth that?" "That punk should've kept his mouth shut." 'What happened, Lucy? Who hurt you?' Juleka thought, looking at Lucy with full-on sympathy for the shaken female idol.
Courtney then smacked Duncan on the head. "See what you did?! You're making her feel scared now!" she said angrily. Juleka crosses her arms, angrily glaring at Duncan. "Courtney, it's fine. It was just a nightmare I just had before I got into this show." Lucy said, snapping out of it. "I got a bit carried away reading old newspaper articles." "Old what articles?" Alya said, looking at Lucy, completely confused about what Lucy was talking about. "One of them was about a former country idol and a female idol from another genre. I guess I read that one too much that it gave me that nightmare, making me be the said female idol, being hunted down by that creepy former country idol..."
Lucy then pauses for a second, snapping her fingers while thinking of the name of the former country idol. "Ah, man, I forgot his name. It's kinda the same name as a bird. But I forgot what bird it was." Marinette, the Killer Bass, and the people in Addict Yourself understood that she was dealing with a nightmare, but Courtney and Juleka were still glaring at Duncan for making her remember the said nightmare. "You are so vile. Do your parents even like you?" Courtney asked, making Juleka quietly laugh at that burn. Adrien was about to say something to Courtney. Even though it is just an episode of a reality show in a different country, Duncan answered the burn question, saying, "I don't know, Gawky McShocker. I haven't asked them lately." Then, wolves start to howl, which startles Marinette into jumping into Duncan's arms in fear and looking scared, not aware of Duncan looking at her, then at Geoff, causing him to give Duncan a smile and a thumbs up. Seeing that started to somehow make Adrien jealous.
The scene then changes back to the Screaming Gophers' side, where everyone watches as the Screaming Gophers are all up on a tree, trying to get away from the bear. "So what do we do now?" Trent asked Heather. "Don't look at me," "It was your idea to climb the trees." Gwen recalled. "Well, why don't you ask the bear-hunting expert?" Heather suggested. "Hey, Owen, what now?" "How should I know?" Owen asked. "Dude, you said you killed a bear while we were walking." Leshawna said. "I was being thearitical." Owen admits. Heather then yells at him, saying, "This is all your fault. If you hadn't been growling like that, we never would've attracted him to our side." "Forgive me for living!" Owen exclaimed.
"Hey, ease up on the guy. He did help Lucy and Marinette set the campfire up for the fish." Trent said. "Wait a minute, where is Lucy and Marinette?" Gwen asked, causing the others to notice the two were missing. Heather then notices the bear next to their fish that is still at the campfire. "Hey! Lay off our fish!" Heather yelled at the bear. "It's probably already eaten, Izzy!" Lindsay cried. "Then is shouldn't be hungry anymore." Everyone looked at Heather in shock and disbelief. "What? This is Survival of the Fittest." she said. Suddenly, the tree branch Leshawna was on broke, causing her to fall and face the bear. Everyone gasped, looking shocked and scared for Leshawna. "Dear, Abby, she's going to die!" Owen cried.
After a bit of panicking and telling a scared Leshawna to run for her life, it was finally revealed to be Izzy, wearing a bear costume. "What are you? Some kind of weirdo?" Gwen asked as she and some of the other Screaming Gophers started glaring at Izzy. "I thought it would be funny." Izzy laughed. "How is any of THAT even funny?!" Alya yelled, making the rest of the people in Addict Yourself agree with her. Little did any of them know, Kim found it hilarious and started laughing without any of them knowing about him laughing about what they all saw.
After that, they watch as the scene changes to the Killer Bass campsite, where they, Lucy, and Marinette are all sleeping in their tent. After a bit, they watch as a bunch of bats start flying past Bridgette until one accidentally flies to her face, causing her to lose her balance and fall to the floor, causing a still-burning rock from the campfire to fly up, heading over to the tent. But before it can make contact with it, Lucy quickly catches it and tosses it back into the campfire. Everyone sighed in relief from that. Lucy then walks over to Bridgette, gently grabbing the bat off of Bridgette's face. "Come on, Vinnie Stoker, off the gal and head back with your pals," she said, letting the bat fly off. "Who's Vinnie Stoker?" "I don't know," "How the heck should I know?" they all then shrug and continue watching the show, seeing Lucy help Bridgette up.
"Thanks, Lucy." "Of course. It's what I'm here for." "Is your hand okay?" "Oh, it is. Slightly burnt a tiny bit. But other than that, it's fine, really." "Guess she does have experience with the great outdoors," Duncan said, crossing his arms impressed. "Of course, she does, punk-o," Juleka mumbled, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms. After that, they all headed back into their tent to rest, just in time before it started to rain.
After a while of watching the Screaming Gophers dealing with a real bear, it was finally the next morning, and everyone was awake and in pain on their backs. "Well, I think it's safe, guys. The bear's gone." Trent said. "And... the map," Gwen added, holding the map that seemed to be torn and dripping from last night's rain. "Hey, I don't know how raccoons sleep in trees, because I'm so stiff." Izzy says. "They must be really limber." Owen guessed while stretching. That was until Heather angrily walks to the two, telling them, "You know what, Crazy Girl? I don't want to hear another word from you or the "Bear Hunter" here. If you two hadn't been acting like bear bait all night, we could have actually slept in our tent." a bird that came out of the blue then started chirping, causing the three to yell 'shut it', making it fall to the ground.
After that, and seeing the B.F.F.F.L's running from the bear, they watch as the scene changes to the Killer Bass again. There, Adrien sees Marinette resting on Duncan, causing his heart to ache more than ever until she starts to wake up. "Morning, Sunshine." Marinette's eyes opened, and she finally realized that she was on top of Duncan. "Oh my gosh, I am so sorry!" Marinette gasped, quickly getting off of him, looking embarrassed. "Seriously? Cuddling Nettie like that? Not cool, Juvie." Lucy said, looking at Duncan unamused. Juleka too, looked at Duncan unamused while crossing her arms, shaking her head. "Hey, I was calmly lying on my back and trying to catch a few z's. She was snuggling up to me." "You are one heck of a beta-punk."  "You tell him, Lucy." Juleka said. "I've been called worse." Lucy and Juleka both rolled their eyes, and Lucy started to walk out of the tent. "Come on, Nettie. We're leaving. Hope the gang found Izzy and they'll meet us at the campsite." Lucy said, with Marinette walking next to her. They all then watch Lucy's confessional.
"I am not trusting that Juvenile one bit whenever Nettie is with him. If he ever hurts a hair on that bambina, he will regret it." "Please do," Juleka said with a nod. After that, the scene then changes to the campsite, where Chris is moving the wood for the campfire for the next elimination ceremony until he turns to see Lucy and Marinette are the first two back for the Screaming Gophers' side. "Glad you two made it. You two can head back into the main lodge and help Chef out." "Sweet!" Lucy said, looking like she'd won a Platinum Record at the music awards. Marinette happily nodded, and the two headed over to the main lodge. 'Why is Lucy excited about making breakfast? I thought idols were supposed to be happy with performing on stage for fans. Not doing lame hobbies like making breakfast.' Alya thought to herself.
That was until she snaps out of it, seeing the Killer Bass, running into the scene. "We're the first ones back!" Courtney happily cheered. The Screaming Gophers then arrive as well. "Oh, no! They beat us here. This is all your fault!" yelled Heather. "Not so fast, Gopherinos," said Chris. "It seems the Killer Bass are missing a few fish." "Oh, you mean Katie and Sadie?" Courtney asked. "I'm pretty sure they got eaten by wolves last night." "Darn shame," said Duncan. That was until Katie and Sadie ran in, panting. "Way to jinx it, you two." Alix said, crossing her arms. "We made it." "We're safe! Oh, my gosh, guys, we got totally got lost and then got in this massive fight." "And there was this huge bear, and he was all, "Rawr! You're in my crib, so get out!"" "And we had to run, and it was, like, so scary." After a bit and seeing the two hug and make up, Courtney gets their attention, clearing her throat to them. "Are you two finished your little love fest?" she asked. The two nodded. "Good. Because thanks to you, we just lost the challenge!" "Wait, but what about Marinette and Lucy?" Lindsay asked. "Oh, those two got here too. They're just helping Chef in the kitchen making breakfast as we speak." Chris said, pointing to the main lodge. The Screaming Gophers sighed in relief, knowing that the two were okay and they didn't lose the challenge either. Chris continued. "All right, Killer Bass, one of your fishy butts is going home. Gophers, as the two are done helping Chef, you're going on an all-expense-paid trip to the Tuck Shop!" The Screaming Gophers cheered while the Killer Bass gasped and then glared at the duo.
"Man, Marinette's lucky. I would kill to have an all-expense-paid trip to the Tuck Shop." Kim whined, crossing his arms. "I wonder if there's a way to ask Chris to have us in the show too?"
After a bit, they watch the elimination ceremony begin. "You've all cast your votes. The camper who does not receive a marshmallow must immediately hit the Dock of Shame, grab the Boat of Losers, and get the heck out of here. And you can't come back. Ever...Now, I can see you're all tired, so tonight, I'll just throw them to you. Savvy?" Chris then starts to throw the marshmallows to the campers who are safe. "Courtney. Duncan. Bridgette. D.J.. Harold. Geoff. Tyler." Which then leaves Katie and Sadie. "Ladies. This is the final marshmallow of the evening...Sadie."
After a bit of watching the B.F.F.F.Ls say their heartbreaking goodbyes, the scene then changes to Lucy and Marinette, who are sitting on the steps of the Killer Bass cabin, reading another Stephanie Queen book and sketching designs on her sketchpad while Duncan walks over and sits down next to them. "Hey, Duncan," said Marinette. "What do you want?" Lucy asked, glaring at him and trying to continue reading her book. "I just want to say that I'm sorry I asked that question, making you remember that nightmare." "Hey, you're lucky I had my essential oils on me, or else I would've brutalitied you into a pulp." "Brutalitied?" "Brutal-what?" "Oh, it's slang my people and I usually use back then. Anyway, just know that I accept your apology." Lucy and Marinette then got up and headed over to the Screaming Gophers cabin for bed, not aware of Duncan looking at Marinette romantically. "She is so into me." Duncan says to himself while leaning back, still having the hook in his right hand, feeling the sharp point caused him to 'agh' in pain. 'Hmph. Serves you right.' Juleka thought, smirking triumphantly.
After the show was over, they all headed home. All agreed to meet back at Addict Yourself to watch the next episode. And agree to have a discussion about having Marinette bring Lucy and her family to Paris so they can show them what they are missing technology-wise, and Alya can get her viewers back by having an idol be on her blog. Adrien, on the other hand, plans to make sure that when everything goes well, everything will finally go his way. Even getting his miraculous back and getting the poser heroine out of his spotlight.
Celebrities + Friends and Family (+ ??? & ???)
It was another weekend for all of the celebrities, friends, and families in Paris, France. They are all getting together, getting ready to watch the new episode of Total Drama, wanting to see what Marinette is going to do in the next challenge.
When they all settled down, they got their hors d'oeuvres and drinks and started to watch the show as it is now on.
Man, was that a close one." "You said it, Chris." Jagged said, raising his soda cup up, along with everyone agreeing with him. "Then Heather managed to save her butt by convincing the rest of the team to vote off Justin "McGorgeousness." Who will be the next one to walk off this lame dock? Find out tonight in the most dramatic marshmallow ceremony ever on Total Drama Island."
After they watch the usual theme, they watch the show, showing them Marinette and the campers are all at the campsite, listening to what Chris has to say. "Campers, today's challenge will test your outdoor survival skills. I'm not gonna lie to you, some of you may not come back alive. Just joking." he laughed. Some look confused, some look uncertain, some look uneasy, and some chuckle, thinking that Chris was actually kidding. "Uhm, exactly, how is that even funny?" Aeon asked, looking confused. "I am not sure, but I feel like McLean needs to work on his sense of humor." Kagami commented with her mother nodding in agreement with a hum. Chris continued, "All you have to do is spend one night in the woods. Everything you need is at your team's campsite in the forest. You just have to find it." Chris then tosses Lucy and Duncan a map and a compass for each of the two of them. "Oh, and watch out for bears. Lost a couple of interns in preproduction." "I'm sure we'll keep that in mind," Lucy said, handing Gwen the map and compass. Everyone looked surprised, seeing the unamused look on Lucy's face.
"You sure are fearless all of a sudden," Gwen said, looking surprised as well. "Well, you could say that this isn't the first time I was in the great outdoors," Lucy explained as she got her BerryPod and earphones out. Before anybody can react and ask where and how Lucy got a BerryPod and earphones. "I'd just like to thank my friend Angie for this BerryPod and earphones." Lucy said, holding a light purple sticky note that says in violet-purple pen, 'Just thought you might need it while at camp-Angie.' "Oh, that's where she got it from, okay." "Well, that was very nice of Angie to give Lucy something." "Yeah, but I'm still a bit confused as to why she gave it to her." "I know I said my family doesn't do technology like everyone else, but there is one thing I miss doing back home, and that is listening to my music in my record player." "Oh, that's why." "That makes perfect sense." "I get it now." "My favorite music I like to play is classical, all songs from the 1950s to the early 2000s. In other words, from 2000 to 2009. Some 2010 songs I can tolerate, notice I said I only like some of them. I have reasons why." "No judgment here." "Hey, it's her choice. No one's stopping her there." "That is true. I don't see what's wrong with her choice of music." "Truthfully, I'm with her. I'm used to some songs, but not all of them." "I, as well. But personally, I prefer the old songs than the ones on the radio." "Me too." "Well, we're all entitled to our own opinion." "Very true." "Anyway, I'm still grateful for Angie giving me this. Thanks, Ang. I owe you one." she said, waving at the camera to her friend. "It was so nice of Miss Maleficent to give the Madame Hatter something she needs." "That's for sure."
They all then continue watching the show. "First team back for breakfast wins invincibility." Chris then blows his airhorn while some of the campers get up from their seats and start walking. "Well, off you go." "Did he say there are bears up in here?" asked Leshawna. "I had a little encounter with a bear once." said Owen. "Let's just say his head looks real nice up on my mantel." "Yeah, sure you did have him up on a mantel, Owen." One of the wunderkind actors said with sarcasm in their tone while crossing their arms.
"Oh, this one time, I saw a bear eating our garbage. He had old spaghetti noodles hanging from his big, huge teeth, and it looked like blood and guts." Izzy explained. "And possibly some moldy spots along with it," Lucy muttered, sticking her tongue in disgust while Marinette quietly giggled from that. Some people laughed and chuckled at that as well. "It was so gross. And we thought he was eating the neighbor's cat Simba. But it turned out he was just lost for a week." "Better the cat alive than dead." Lucy muttered again, with Marinette nodding in agreement. "Oh, that's right. Lucy's a full-on cat person. Well, she likes dogs too. And birds. And hamsters. And guinea pigs. Well, actually, she likes all animals that are adorable in her eyes." one of the teen bloggers said. "How do you know that?" Manon asked with full curiosity in her eyes. "Oh, Lucy confirmed it herself at a talk show once with the rest of the MetaBetas. It's still on the internet, and there's still the episode of the interview to prove it, too." "Oh, okay."
They watch as the scene changes to the Screaming Gophers walking on their way to the location of their campsite. Trent then caught up to Marinette. "Hey, Marinette, wait up. Can I walk with you?" "Sure. I don't mind at all." Marinette said to him. Trent smiled as the two walked together while Lucy, who was listening to her music, was just more focused on walking and listening to her said music. Everyone found out that Lucy was listening to classical music, starting with Mozart. "Ah, Mozart's Don Giovanni. A true classic." one of the female conductors said, with full satisfaction hearing slightly of the song in Lucy's earphones. Just then, their smiles faded when they watched Heather scoff. "She is so the next one to leave," she said. "Who?" Beth asked. "Who do you think? She had her box trap my hand in front of everyone." "Yeah, but you did almost read her diary out loud to the entire world. ALMOST." Gwen pointed out. "EXACTLY! She had it coming." One of the teenage debate champions scolded, with everyone agreeing with her. Hearing that from Gwen made Heather stand her ground and make the others behind her stop. "So?" "So, that was pretty harsh," Gwen said, with Cody nodding in agreement. "You tell her, Gwen!"
"She is going down," said Heather. Before any of Marinette's friends can say anything to defend Marinette, they watch as the scene changes to Trent and Marinette still walking to their location until they both hear a scream behind them. They turned to look back and saw Heather hiding behind Owen, shaking in fear. "Jeez, what scared her all of a sudden?" Jessica said, looking at Heather as if she had grown another head. "What's wrong?" Marinette asked. Heather tries to tell them while pointing at Lucy, but all that comes out of her mouth are sputters and stutters. However, when they all watch as the scene changes to Lucy, all they see is Lucy still walking and listening to Mozart. "Why is she pointing to Lucy? All she's doing is listening to Don Giovanni." one of the teen classical historians said, looking at the other teen celebrities around her as they all shrugged, muttering out an 'I don't know' or an 'I have no idea'.
After watching Heather's confessional, the scene changes to the Screaming Gophers finally arriving at their campsite. When Owen pointed out that there were no food supplies, Lucy explained to him that the challenge was a survival task. "Lucy's right. Look at the instructions," said Trent. After a bit of watching the show, Heather explains while reading, they're supposed to find their own food. "Where did Madame Hatter get those?" "Where did that girl get the spear and fishnet?" Leshawna asked, pointing to the two things in Lucy's hands. "She probably got them from Chris or Chef," Heather said, rolling up the map. They then watch Lucy's confessional. "Actually, they are my stuff one of my relatives gave me one summer," Lucy said, holding up an old photo of her tween self, holding the same spear and fishnet. "Like I said, it's not the first time I was in the great outdoors." "Huh. Well, that's smart of her." "She and Marinette are definitely going to win this one for the Screaming Gophers."
After that, they watch as the Screaming Gophers are already done setting up their campsite, waiting for Lucy to come back. After watching the Screaming Gophers look disbelieved about the camera crew ordering pizza. Marinette reminds them that they're doing a survival task, and Lucy calls out, saying she's back. They all see her come back with a fish in her spear and thirteen fish in her fishnet. Everyone looked amazed and impressed with Lucy catching a lot of fish for the team. "Atta girl, Madame Hatter. Atta girl." one of the famous travelers said, crossing their arms proudly.
After a little while of watching the Killer Bass and the B.F.F.F.Ls, they watch as the Screaming Gophers cook the fish Lucy caught. "They must be very proud of you, Lucy." one of the intern journalists says, feeling proud of Lucy. That was until Heather started to notice something was not right. "Hey, has anyone seen Crazy Girl?" she asked. "I think she had to use the can." Owen guessed. "But that was over an hour ago." Trent said. "Well that isn't good." one of the servants said, pouring some soda in one of the children's cups. As the Screaming Gophers are calling Izzy's name, looking for her, Lucy and Marinette started walking, looking for Izzy. That was until Owen noticed the bushes rustling and headed over there, looking relieved."Good. I thought we lost you there for a minute, man," he said, walking over to the bush. But he then stopped when he saw that it was not Izzy. Instead, it was a bear that was growling. "Great Pyramid of Giza!" Owen screamed. Everyone looked shocked to see a bear on TV, growling at the Screaming Gophers.
Everyone sighed in relief, knowing that Marinette was okay. Everyone chuckled, knowing that Lucy was always a sucker for animals. Before D.J. can answer her question, an owl is heard, and Bridgette is startled by the sound. "It's okay, Bridgette. It's just an owl." Marinette said, comforting her. "Sorry, I just get really freaked out in the forest," Bridgette said. "Hey, if it's any consolation, sometimes nature is a wonder to behold. Well, not all the time, honestly," "Why? What's wrong with it?" Harold asked. Lucy crosses her arms, looking down, saying, "Well, it's kinda hard to explain, really." "Huh, I thought you said that it wasn't the first time you were in the great outdoors," Duncan said. "I did. But sometimes nature is, honestly, no picnic. Asides from being in one that is bear-country on one side of it, and dealing with..." Everyone looked as surprised as the Killer Bass were when they all saw this new side of Lucy. Lucy crossed her arms, held herself tightly, never letting herself go, looking down, not feeling comfortable continuing on, shaking as if she experienced something traumatizing, and her face looked like she was scarred for life. "What the heck, Duncan?!" "He should've kept it to himself, the rotten punk!" 'What happened, Lucy? Who hurt you?' Luke thought, looking at Lucy with sympathy for the female idol.
Courtney then smacked Duncan on the head. "See what you did? You're making her feel scared now!" she said angrily. Marinette's friends were either crossing their arms, glaring at Duncan, or both. "Courtney, it's fine. It was just a nightmare I just had before I got into this show." Lucy said, snapping out of it. "I got a bit carried away reading old newspaper articles. One of them was about a former country idol and a female idol from another genre. I guess I read that one too much that it gave me that nightmare, making me be the said female idol, being hunted down by that creepy former country idol..." Lucy then pauses for a second, snapping her fingers while thinking of the name of the former country idol. "Ah, man, I forgot his name. It's kinda the same name as a bird. But I forgot what bird it was." Everyone and the Killer Bass now understood that Lucy was dealing with a nightmare, but Luka knew that there must've been something else that even Lucy didn't know about. However, asides from Luka believing that there was something else, the rest of Marinette's friends and Courtney were still glaring at Duncan for making Lucy remember the said nightmare.
After a while of watching the show, watching that the Screaming Gophers were actually facing Izzy, dressed in a bear costume, they watched as Lucy and Marinette were sleeping in the Killer Bass's tent for the night. Everyone knows that they are since it is already getting dark for them to head back to their tent on time, so it is very understandable. They watch as Bridgette has a bat flying at her face, causing her to lose her balance and fall, causing a still-burning rock to fly over to the Killer Bass's tent. Before it can make contact with the tent, a hand catches it right on time, making everyone relieved that the Killer Bass's tent didn't burn down accidentally from Bridgette. The camera then shows that it was Lucy who caught the still-burning rock. Everyone looked surprised to see Lucy not reacting to the still-burning rock in her hand. After Lucy puts it back into the still-burning fire, she walks over to Bridgette, getting the bat off of her face, saying, "Come on, Vinnie Stoker, off the gal, and head back with your pals." "Mom, who's Vinnie Stoker?" "Oh, he's a..." as Nadja explains to her daughter who Vinnie Stoker is, everyone still watches as Lucy now helps Bridgette back up.
"Of course, she does, punk." Aurore said, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms, still glaring at Duncan. Lucy, Marinette, and the rest of the Killer Bass then head back into the tent to rest, just in time before it starts to rain.
After a while of watching the Screaming Gophers deal with an actual bear, it was finally the next morning. After watching Heather accuse Owen and Izzy and watching the girly-duo, Sadie and Katie face the same bear the Screaming Gophers dealt with, running away from the said bear after, the scene changes to the Killer Bass again.
Everyone looked surprised to see Marinette resting on Duncan. But they quickly stopped and thought, realizing that it must've been the deep sleep getting to her and the other campers. Which would make sense since that happened to some of them from time to time. They then watch as Marinette, Lucy, and the rest of the Killer Bass start to wake up. Some of Marinette's friends agreed with Lucy, crossing their arms and looking unamused.
"You tell him, Lucy." Jessica said with Aeon and Zoe agreeing with her while Tomoe and Kagami both shook their heads at Duncan."Hey, I was calmly lying on my back and trying to catch a few z's. She was snuggling up to me." "You are one heck of a beta-punk." "You tell it, Lucy." Fei said, with Aurore and Mirelle agreeing with her and Lucy. "I've been called worse." Lucy and some of Marinette's friends (and some feminist teens and celebrities) rolled their eyes, and Lucy started to walk out of the tent. "Come on, Nettie. We're leaving. Hope the gang found Izzy and they'll meet us at the campsite." Lucy said, with Marinette walking out of the tent with her. They all then watch Lucy's confessional.
"I am not trusting that Juvenile one bit whenever Nettie is with him. If he ever hurts a hair on that bambina, he will regret it." "Please do," one of the feminist motivational speakers, Kagami and Luka, said in unison with a single nod, along with Jagged, Penny, Clara, and Marinette's family and friends agreeing with the three. The scene then changes to the campsite, where Chris is moving the wood for the campfire until he turns to see Lucy and Marinette are the first two back for the Screaming Gophers' side.
"Glad you two made it. You two can head back into the main lodge and help Chef out." "Sweet!" Lucy said, looking like she'd won a Platinum Record at the music awards. Marinette happily nodded, and the two headed over to the main lodge. Everyone smiled, knowing that Lucy had loved to cook since she was a child and that Marinette was happy to help from time to time. They are also okay if she doesn't want to and respect her decisions. They then watch as the Killer Bass arrive. "We're the first ones back!" Courtney happily cheered. They then watch as the Screaming Gophers arrive. "Those two jinx it." one of the popular astrology influencers said logically, and then looked down at her phone, posting tomorrow's zodiac posts.
After that and seeing the Screaming Gophers celebrate their victory, they watch the elimination ceremony begin.
'Hmph. Serves you right.' Socqueline thought, crossing her arms and smirking triumphantly.
Meanwhile, in another location, there is nowhere that no one is even aware of...
"Of course. I will let him know. Thank you." the person on the phone then hung up. The person then watches the episode, the second person taped, and they both watch as Lucy forgives Duncan's apology for bringing up the so-called 'Former Country Idol Chase Nightmare' debacle. "Hey, you're lucky I had my essential oils on me, or else I would've brutalitied you into a pulp." "She's still using the same slang from back then." the first person said. "She is." the second one said. The second one then turned to the first person. "Any luck?" they asked. "They said they will let the four know and see what they will do." the second person smiled. "Perfect."

Chapter Three-Too Brutal? Yeah, Right (DodgeBrawl)
Tumblr media
It was just another ordinary day like any other in Camp Wawanawkwa.
All of the campers are in the main lodge, enjoying their breakfast. However, there was a slight difference between the two sides of the campers. The Screaming Gophers are just smiling and laughing. Meanwhile, the Killer Bass are sleeping instead of eating the questionable breakfast.
"Duncan." Duncan looks up to see Chris walking to their table. "You look like death, dude," he said. "Stick it," Duncan said before heading back to sleep. "Harold snored all night," Courtney explained. Chris laughed, "Wow, four nights with no sleep. How much are you hurting, dude?" "Wanna find out?" Duncan asked, causing his team to duck and cover to avoid what would happen. "No, no. It's cool. It's cool." Chris says, raising his hands with a smile. Just then, Harold walks in with a markered mustache on his face, not aware of the Screaming Gophers and Chris starting to snicker. When he sat down, he noticed his team looking at him oddly and then laughing. "Okay, what?" asked Harold. "Someone messed with your face, dude," said Geoff. Harold grabbed a spoon, seeing what they were laughing about. "Hey, sweet stache," he said. Then, Chris gets their attention. "Hey, everyone, it's Lucy and Marinette!" the Screaming Gophers cheer as Lucy and Marinette walk in, looking more tired than they were four days ago. When they both sat down, Marinette crossed her arms on the table, resting her head and closing her eyes. And Lucy rests her head on her hands.
CONFESSIONAL: MARY-LOUKRITIA CORLEONE
"Boy, even for the first time in the past two years at the ages of five and six, I stood up, not only just nights but days too. Man, I wish my friends were here to see it. But I still didn't think I would stay up for that long."
Confessional: COURTNEY
"We are so stinking right now! Okay, yes, Eva was a psycho, but at least she wasn't athletic psycho."
As the two were resting, Heather started talking aloud to the Killer Bass, getting their attention, saying, "Hey, fish-heads, way to kick out your strongest player. Why don't you just give up now?" Heather then moved over, making Courtney miss her, and threw the questionable food at Lucy's face. "Missed me," Heather said, causing Courtney to glare at her. Lucy then raises her hand to Courtney, telling her tiredly, "Don't worry about it. I had worse things thrown at me anyway." she then finishes her sentence, yawning, "Such as...a chained....kunai." Lucy's head then plops down on the table and falls asleep, snoring loudly, not even aware of the campers, sans a sleeping Marinette, looking at her with shocked and disbelief looks on their faces.
Confessional: COURTNEY
"Did...did Lucy just say what I think she said?"
Confessional: D.J.
"A chained kunai was thrown directly at her?!"
Confessional: HAROLD
"Lucky. I wish a chained kunai was thrown at my face."
CONFESSIONAL: MARY-LOUKRITIA CORLEONE
"I know what I just said. And sadly, yes. It's true. It happened in the second week of my first year of high school. Most of my former schoolmates, who by the way, were rivals to each other. They were labeled what my old school calls them 'The Sides'." Lucy says, air quoting the words The Sides. "They were all fighting about something that I don't know what, but frankly, I don't even want to know what and why they were even fighting about in the first place. But anyway, at that time they were arguing, and it then started a fight and a food fight at the same time. One of them then threw their chained kunai at one of their rivals, but it missed, and instead, aimed at me. But not directly aiming at my face, the chained kunai only missed me by an inch, and instead slapped my face." Lucy rubs the left side of her face, remembering that. "It really smarted, and it got me so mad that it caused me to snap and make a scene in front of everyone, angrily screaming and scolding them to knock it off and tell them that someone could've been hurt or injured or worse. When I finished giving a harsh scolding lecture, I left the cafeteria and ended up having the rest of my lunch break at the school library. When lunch was over, and we were heading to our next class, I was at my locker getting what I needed and saw the same chained kunai in there with a note saying they were sorry for throwing it at me. Even though I accepted the apology and appreciated the peace offering gift, I'm still mad at the betapunks with their rivalry and the one who threw it while they were fighting." Lucy glared daggers, facing directly at the camera. "Yeah, that's right." She then points at the camera while looking even more tired than before, letting out a couple of sleepy yawns, "I'm talking to you, Han...zo Scor...Ha....sa....shi." Then, Lucy fell face first, pushing the outhouse-confessional door open while she was asleep again.
"Okay, campers, listen up." Chris announced, "Your next challenge begins in ten minutes, and be prepared to bring it."
Ten minutes later, they arrived at their location for their next challenge, which looked like a gym. Marinette and Lucy are now both fully awake, with cups of Starchild's Coffee in their hands. "I'm surprised your family sent us some coffee, Lucy," Marinette said, sipping her coffee. "Yeah, well, sometimes my three uncles, auntie, and pop-pop always worry about my well-being. It's been that way since I was six," said Lucy.
Confessional: MARY-LOUKRITIA CORLEONE
Lucy sips her cup of coffee. "Not gonna lie, I didn't think my family would be watching me. Even though we're a traditional family. But not like that. It's just that we don't do technology. Well, except my three uncles, auntie, and pop-pop, maybe, but still. My family doesn't use technology like everyone else, such as watching television or having cell phones. Although we only have a telephone that we use now and then, but that's all we have in our household. Heck, we even have two computers for school and work. Just school and work only and nothing more. I don't use the computers, honestly. Personally, I prefer doing my work by hand. The only people who use those computers are my mother and her sister, who is my aunt on her side of the family. They are the only ones in my whole family tree who use them for their work. And whenever we're not at home, you have to go out to London and find a phone booth just to make a phone call or two." After sipping her coffee again, she continued talking and said, "But it was still nice of them to send Nettie and me some coffee." Lucy then looks directly at the camera, smiling, looking grateful. "Thanks, guys. I owe you one," she said, thanking her three uncles, aunt, and pop-pop.
They then heard a loud thump and turned to see Duncan on the benches, sleeping. "Wake me up, and it'll be the last thing you'll do," he warns. "I don't think we're even going to," Lucy said, making the Screaming Gophers and the Killer Bass look at her odd. "What? I was like that once," she said, shrugging her shoulders. "Some people who I rather have nameless tried to force me to get up and join them on something I don't want to explain what, and I may have accidentally given each of them a black eye to leave me alone." They looked at her surprised but understood.
Confessional: MARINETTE DUPAIN-CHENG
"I can understand that. My dad told me once that my mom was like that since this one time back when she was a teenager, someone was forcing her to get up and join them to train on something. I guess it's true what they say. Some people will get cranky when they don't get their sleep." Marinette sips her coffee and says, "And it might be best to let them sleep, or else you will face the consequences."
After that, Courtney then started to scold Harold. "This is all your fault, you know?" she said, "You and your snoring face." "It's called a medical condition. Gosh!" said Harold. Suddenly, Lucy grabbed Courtney and Harold by the ear, glaring daggers at the two. "Less arguing, more focusing on what the challenge is." she snarled, with venom in her tone. Hearing her scolding Courtney and Harold caused most campers to shudder in fear of seeing an angry Lucy. All but Marinette, who seems to be used to it.
CONFESSIONAL: MARINETTE DUPAIN-CHENG
"I don't like to talk down on others, but with all due respect and in all honesty, Courtney should've kept the accusation to herself. Including Harold with his excuse. Even if it is true or not. Then they won't have to deal with an angry scolding from Lucy."
After Lucy lets go of Courtney and Harold, they hear a whistle blow and see that it is Chef, dressed as a referee. Chris then explains the challenge to the campers. "Today's challenge is the classic game of dodgeball." Lucy smiles, looking impressed. "Ah, a basic sports game. Nice, " she says.
Chris continues to talk to the campers, "The first rule of dodgeball is-" "Do not talk about dodgeball?" Noah asks, cutting off Chris's sentence and making Owen laugh at that smartmouth question. Chris continues, "If you get hit with the dodgeball..." Chris then throws the dodgeball at Courtney, hitting her. "You're out." "You can't just do that!" Courtney said, throwing the dodgeball at him. He then catches the dodgeball and continues, "If you catch the ball, the thrower gets sent out, and the catcher gets to bring another member out on the court." "Throwing balls. Gee, another mentally challenging test," said Noah. "I know, right?" Lindsay asked, butting in a bit. Noah and Owen look confused about that. "Okay, now, Geoff, try to hit Lucy," Chris said, throwing the dodgeball to Geoff while Chef tossed another to Lucy. "If you're holding a ball, you can use it to deflect a ball. But if it knocks the ball out of your hands, you're out." Chris explains. "So what do I do again when the ball comes at me?" asked Lindsay. "You dodge," Chris said. As Geoff threw the ball at Lucy, she used the dodgeball to deflect it, which headed over to Lindsay, hitting her on the head and making the others gasp. Chris and Lucy wince from that. "Ooh, you were supposed to dodge," said Chris. "Ow.. right," Lindsay said, rubbing her forehead, which showed a big bruise. "You have one minute until game time." Chris said, then turning to the Screaming Gophers, "Gophers, you'll have to sit one person out each game." After some campers sat out, D.J., Courtney, Katie, Tyler, and Harold were on the Killer Bass team. Meanwhile, Heather, Lindsay, Owen, Leshawna, and Cody are on the Screaming Gophers team.
"Bring it on, fishies," Heather said. "Otherwise winning three in a row just won't be as satisfying." "Oh, you're going down!" said Tyler. "We're gonna bring the dinner on the table, and then we're gonna eat it!" Courtney facepalms when Tyler finishes making that not-making-any-sense sentence. "Both teams ready? Best of five games wins." Chris says, "Now let's dodge some ball!" When Chef blew his whistle, the game of dodgeball was on, and the sitting campers cheered their teams on. Cody then throws the dodgeball first, aiming at Tyler, but misses. This causes Tyler to throw his dodgeball at him, but instead, the dodgeball accidentally hits Sadie. "That'll smear the makeup," Chris commented. "You're doing your best, Tyler! That's all that matters!" Marinette yelled from the Screaming Gophers side. Tyler gives her a thumbs up as a thanks until Courtney gets his attention. "Nice job. Now let's see if you can hit someone on THEIR team!" she scolded. Just then, Owen ran, heading over to them, and threw the dodgeball straight to Tyler, hitting him so far up to the wall. "Ow. Darn it." Tyler said, in pain from the hit. Chef blows his whistle, signaling that Tyler is out, while the seated Screaming Gophers cheer on their team, and Cody and Owen high-fived. Meanwhile, Tyler sits out in pain.
After that, Harold holds his dodgeball, looking confident. "Time to unleash my wicked skills," he said. "Yeah?" said Leshawna. "Then bring it, string bean! Let's see what you got!" As Harold tries to throw the dodgeball his way, it backfires. Leshawna then smirked after picking up the dodgeball, which got Harold running away screaming. Until Leshawna threw the dodgeball at him, making him slide on the floor to the glass wall and making Chris and Marinette wince from witnessing it. Chef then blew his whistle, signaling that Harold was out. "And that's how we roll!" said Leshawna. Lindsay then walks to her team, asking, "Can someone remind me what I'm supposed to do with this again?" Suddenly, Katie threw the dodgeball at Lindsay, which became a direct hit. The Killer Bass cheered while Chef blew his whistle, signaling Lindsay was out.
The Killer Bass cheered for Katie while Tyler waved to Lindsay, making Lindsay smile and Heather mad, which got her to throw a dodgeball at him again. Lucy then turned to glare deadly daggers at Heather, signaling she was done for when she gets a chance. Heather shuddered in fear, seeing the furious look on Lucy's face. "I'm with Lucy. What the heck was that?" Courtney complained. "Ref, he's not even on the court." "Oops! He slipped." Getting more furious hearing that, Lucy grabs a dodgeball and throws it at Heather, hitting her in the face. Chef blows his whistle, signaling Heather is out. "I'm sorry, Heather, but you made me do that. Even though we are on this team, it doesn't matter to me anymore," she said. Marinette nods in agreement. She then turns to Chris, saying to him, "Chris, I'm sorry, but we're going to be switching to the Killer Bass team." Lucy then turns, telling the Screaming Gophers, "And please, don't push us on this. If anyone is to blame for that, it's Heather." The two walk to the Killer Bass team. The Killer Bass cheered about Lucy and Marinette being on their team while the Screaming Gophers glared at Heather since she was now out and sitting on the bench.
Courtney throws her dodgeball at one of the Screaming Gophers, but Owen catches it. This causes Chef to blow his whistle, signaling Courtney is out, and Gwen gets into the game. When she tiredly gets up and gets in the paint, Owen throws one at D.J., which misses, and D.J. then throws one at Gwen, which gets her. "Oh, sorry." he said. "Oh, it's cool." Gwen said while Owen helped her get up. "Trust me." Chef then blows his whistle again, signaling Gwen is out.
After a while, it was then Cody and Leshawna for the Screaming Gophers and D.J. and Katie for the Killer Bass. D.J. and Katie throw theirs. Leshawna deflects one until another one of them hits her in the gut. Chef then blows his whistle, signaling to her that she's out. It was now Cody against the two Killer Bass. "Easy out, guys. Easy out." Courtney said to D.J. and Katie. Cody tosses one dodgeball up in the air and then tosses it at D.J. Even though it missed, the dodgeball took a U-turn and hit D.J. behind him. "That is one tough ball to dodge." said Chris. Katie threw her dodgeball at Cody, but it missed. Cody then grabs another ball and rubs it on his shirt. He then throws it at Katie. Katie then tried to run from it, but it chased after her. Katie then slammed into the wall, and the dodgeball hit her on the back. The Screaming Gophers then cheered for Cody for winning the round.
Before they can start the next round, the Killer Bass huddled up. "We can do this. We just have to believe in ourselves." "Oh, I believe. I believe you stink!" scolded Courtney. "Yeah, you throw like a wimp," Tyler said, causing Geoff to laugh and Sadie to nod in agreement. "You should talk," Courtney said, scolding Tyler. "It was a warm-up throw," Tyler explained. Before he could keep talking, a dodgeball hit Tyler, Courtney, Geoff, and Sadie. They looked to see that it was an angry Lucy, looking at them as if she was ready to pop a vein and beat the life out of them. They all looked scared, seeing her looking furious.
Confessional: MARY-LOUKRITIA CORLEONE
"And that, folks, is another one of my triggers. People accuse others. Talking down on them, calling them a girl, chicken, or coward, and making up some lame-cottontail excuses." Lucy crosses her arms, looking completely serious. "Yeah, that's right. I'm not afraid to say words close to the cursed ones. And we all know what I'm talking about."
"Okay, you guys focus on the game. I'm going to take Lucy out and get her to calm down," Marinette said, taking Lucy's hand and leading her out of the room. The rest of the Killer Bass continued on while the two were out. "Look, I can dominate this game," Tyler said, continuing what he would say before Lucy interrupted him by throwing the dodgeball at them. "Just give all the balls to me."
Meanwhile, in the Screaming Gophers cabin, Lucy takes a couple of heavy whiffs on her stress and anger management essential oils. "You shouldn't let this get to you, Lucy," Marinette said, helping Lucy calm down. "I know, Nettie. I'm trying to. But when it comes to those punks doing all that and talking like that, it's too difficult for me to handle. Believe it or not, I got all that from both my father and one of my friends." Marinette looked surprised to hear that. "I have my father's stress in my genes, and the anger thing is both from myself and my friend. Well, sometimes me, it was also him too, actually." Lucy admits.
"And believe it or not, people often mistook us for twins." "Because of the anger?" asked Marinette. "Nope. We just both talk at the same time." Lucy and Marinette both laugh at that. After that, Lucy gets two more stress and anger management essential oils. She opens them, revealing that they are roll-on essential oils, and rubs them on two of her wrists and behind her left and right ears. "There, hopefully, this will help me finish up the dodgeball challenge. And hopefully, I don't go overboard on this like the last one I did." "What happened?" "Oh, trust me. You don't wanna know." after that, they head out of the cabin and back to the challenge.
They saw their teammates on the bench when they returned to the challenge. All but Tyler. "Hey, where did Tyler go?" asked Marinette. "Long story." said Bridgette. Courtney then starts to talk. "Okay, this is really bad." she said. "One more game, and we lose the whole challenge, again! We can't let that happen, people. We need someone strong, someone mean, someone who'll crush those lame-o gophers into the dirt." "I think I know who we can have help us," Marinette said, motioning to someone on her right. Most of the Killer Bass then looked at Duncan, who was still sleeping like a log. They know that Marinette is saying he's now the only one who can help them. However, some of the Killer Bass looked a bit scared. "Unh-unh, if we wake him up, he'll kill us." D.J. protested. "He won't kill us, guys." Courtney said, "He wants to win too." "Courtney's right," Harold said, agreeing with Courtney. "We need Duncan's fierceness to win this." "That's the spirit, Harold." said Courtney. But before she can tell him to wake Duncan up, Lucy beats her to the punch.
"Alright, stand back, folks. Leave the bear-awakening to the professionals." Lucy said as she walked up to Duncan. As the Killer Bass did so, Lucy grabbed an essential oil out of her pocket and let the scent go to Duncan's nose, waking him up entirely. After a couple of whiffs, he bolted up and looked up to see Marinette walking to him while Lucy put her essential oil back in her pocket. "Hey, Duncan. Sorry for waking you up like that." Marinette said, with a slight smile on her face, mentally scared of what he might do to her. Duncan smirked at her. "You better have a really good reason for waking me up, hot stuff," he said flirtatiously. Marinette was confused by that until Lucy walked up to him, saying, "Alright, Mister Juvenile, listen up. We're down two, nothing. As much as we respect that you need some well-deserved rest, but we could use some of your assistance on this." "Oh, and why should I help you, princess?" asked Duncan. "Because we can personally guarantee you that if we lose this game, you'll be the one going home, Sir Juvenile," Lucy said, with a renascence accent in the end. Courtney and Harold silently snicker at the funny nickname she gave Duncan.
Duncan lets out a sigh and then says, "Fine, I'll play...on one condition. You do what I say when I say it." Lucy nods. "Okay, here's a strategy I picked up during my first visit to Juvie. It's called Rush the New Guy."
After explaining the strategy, they were ready. And after trying it, they beat the Screaming Gophers. After using their Rush the New Guy trick, it became a success, and they won the round. After that, Courtney had a suggestion. "I think that we should do the same thing all over again. So Harold, sit this one out too." "But I sat the last one out." "We'll sit this one out with you, Harold." Marinette offered, with Lucy nodding in agreement. Before Courtney can protest, she shuts her mouth when Lucy stares at her with a death-threatening stare in her eyes. Harold nods to Lucy and Marinette as thanks and signals to them that he owes them one. Seeing that causes Duncan to feel jealous.
CONFESSIONAL: DUNCAN
"The next time we lose, he's the next one to go."
After the two sat out, they watched as their team used the Rush the New Guy strategy again, and they won the round. They cheered them on when they did win. After that, Tyler walked in and sat on the bench. "Tyler, where were you?" Marinette asked. "Nowhere," he said. "You were with Lindsay, were you?" Lucy teased, raising a brow, smiling. "No...maybe...so?" "Tyler, it's okay. There's nothing to be afraid or ashamed of." Marinette said. Lucy nodded, "Exactly. Just as long as you're calm and cool as a cucumber and don't expose your weaknesses to her." she said. Tyler smiles, happy to know that Lucy and Marinette are okay with him liking Lindsay.
Chris then announced to the campers, "Okay, this is it, the final tie-breaking game."
When they all huddle up, they start talking strategy. "Okay, who's going in?" Duncan asked. "I think it's either Marinette's turn, Lucy's turn, or my turn?" said Harold. "No way. we actually have a chance to win this." Courtney protested. Harold nodded and headed over to the bench to sit out.
"Gophers, Bass, let's send this sample to the lab and see what you're made of." said Chris. They started throwing and tagging in and out team members. Noah then cheers with full-on sarcasm in his tone of voice. "Knock 'em out. Throw 'em out. Rah, rah." then, a dodgeball was thrown and hit Noah straight in the face. "My bad. I meant to do that." Lucy called out with another dodgeball in her hands. Noah signals her it's fine since he knows that she deflected Marinette from the dodgeball almost thrown directly at her.
After a while, it was Owen against Marinette Harold. "Well, freak," Lucy said, while Marinette looked a bit scared. The Screaming Gophers cheered for Owen, while the Killer Bass looked shocked and worried for Harold and the girls. "Sorry, guys, but you gotta go down," said Owen. "Good night, Harold," said Duncan. Lucy elbowed him and cheered Harold and Marinette on. "You got this, guys!"
Seeing that it's a standoff between the two and Owen, Harold starts to get confident, getting into his stance. Marinette then swallows her pride and becomes confident as well. As the two motions for Owen to bring it, he does so, and the two dodge every single dodgeball Owen throws at him.
Courtney then tells them to time out, making Chef blow his whistle for it. "Man, those two got dodge," Duncan said. "Where'd you two learn to do that?" "Figure skating," Harold answers. Marinette looked a bit panicked but then thought of one excuse and said, "I've been training with my mom. I got the hang of it back then. I guess I still got it." "Harold, Marinette, that was awesome." Geoff said. "But dodging isn't enough." "He's right," said Courtney. "To win this, you two either have to throw him out--" "Which we all know Harold can't do--" Duncan added. "Or catch the ball." Lucy added as well. "Can you guys do it?" "Definitely," "I can try." "Awesome. Now go catch that ball." D.J. said, encouraging the two.
When they continued the standoff, the Screaming Gophers cheered for Owen while the Killer Bass cheered and chanted both Harold and Marinette's names. Owen then throws the two dodgeballs at the two, letting out a 'Cowabunga'. The dodgeballs then head to Harold and Marinette, slamming them both back at the wall. Duncan gasps, getting up, worried for Marinette. And the rest were worried for both her and Harold. But then, they see the two raise the dodgeballs up, signaling that they both caught them. The whistle was blown once again, signaling that Owen was out, and Harold and Marinette won the tie-breaker.
"The Killer Bass win!" Chris announced. The Killer Bass cheered for both winning, and Harold and Marinette won the challenge for them.
CONFESSIONAL: HAROLD
"I guess Marinette and I are kind of role models now that we won the dodgeball competition." he said, munching on a bag of chips. "People will probably all want my autograph when the show is over and stuff."
In the elimination ceremony, Chris started talking to the Screaming Gophers. "Campers, you've already placed your votes and made your decision. One of you will be going home and you can't come back...ever," he said. "When you hear me call out your name, come pick up a marshmallow. Owen. Gwen. Cody. Trent. Heather. Beth. Justin. Leshawna. Izzy. The final marshmallow goes to...Lindsay."
Lindsay cheered and headed over to claim her marshmallow while Noah looked stunned. "What, are you kidding me? All right, see if I care. Good luck, because you just voted out the only one with any brains on this team." They then threw their marshmallows at him. "You need to learn a little thing called respect, turkey," Leshawna said. "Whatever, I'm out of here." With that, Noah headed over to the Dock of Shame.
However, while he is walking to the Boat of Losers, he takes something out of his pocket and smiles, looking at the note that has Marinette's phone number. He is glad he has her contact information so he can talk to her. "At least there's one thing good that came out of all of this," he says to himself.

Chapter One-She's In THAT CAMP?!
Tumblr media
Lila attempted to lie, saying that she found the show Total Drama Island and made Chris McLean the host. However, before she could say anything, the commercial was over, the show was back on, and all the kids started watching it.
"Welcome back to Total Drama Island."
Lila growls and scolds when the show is back on.
"Alright, it's time to meet our first eleven campers. We told them they'd be all staying at a five-star resort, so if they seem a little T.O'd, that's probably why."
After a while, they see all the contestants, such as Beth, DJ, Gwen, Geoff, Lindsay, Heather, Duncan, Tyler, Harold, Trent, Bridgette, Noah, Leshawna, Sadie, Katie, Ezekiel, Cody, Eva, Owen, Courtney, Justin, and Izzy, they watch Chris saying something.
"And now, for our last two campers, one, I'm sure you all probably know that she's famously known around the world. One of the world-known famous celebrity idols from London, Mary-Loukritia "Lucy" "Lou" Corleone. AKA, Madame Hatter from the famous idol group, the MetaBetas!"
Lindsay, Sadie, and Katie squeal as they all see the girl, Lucy Corleone, in person.
Lucy smiles with her doe brown eyes, deep brunette hair in a ponytail, and dusting off the dust on her gray crop-top hoodie, black designer leggings, and white sneakers. She then moves the strands of her hair and tucks it behind her left ear, which has a black diamond stud earring that appears to be magnetic with no piercing that is required.
"Ciao, Signor McLean."
"One of the world-renowned famous celebrity idols, Lucy Corleone," Chris said, introducing them to the camper/contestant as Lucy walked with her suitcases.
As Lucy walked, she placed her suitcases along with the other luggage.
The class looked both surprised and amazed at the same time. The kids were astonished that one of the MetaBetas idols was on the show. Lila smirked, believing this was a chance to get more popular with the class. Before she can spout out another lie about Lucy and the MetaBetas, Chris continues as another boat with the last contestant arrives, which makes Lila growl again in anger and frustration.
"And last but not least, we have this last contestant who is recommended to us from a school in Paris, France," he explains. The class looked surprised to hear that. "Someone from here is now on this show? So cool!" Alix said, astonished. The kids agreed, impressed that someone in Paris was now on the show. Lila was about to tell them it was her best friend until Chris interrupted, continuing the introduction, which made her growl in frustration again. "She's a rising fashion designer, became popular overnight, and now has good connections with her famous commissioners. It's...Marinette Dupain-Cheng!" "Wait," "What?!"
Then, they all see Marinette getting off the boat with her luggage, bags, and a box full of paint.
"Marinette?!" "She's in THAT camp?!" "Dude!"
The class looked shocked, seeing that Marinette was the last contestant on the show and Wawanakwa was the camp they sent her to. Lila looked shocked too, quietly snuck out of the crowd, went to the hallway, and growled loudly in jealousy and anger, with teeth gritted out and grinding like crazy. Then, she heads to the bathroom and punches the wall.
Meanwhile, in Ontario. Marinette looks shy, seeing that she is now at the camp she was being sent to, and sees that there are new faces that she has never met before. She sighs and smiles.
"Bonjour. It's very nice to meet all of you." Marinette said, smiling shyly. She then looks shy but then offers them the baked goods she had brung with her. "Macaroons?" Chris gladly takes one. "Merci." Marinette then headed to the other campers and gave them some while heading to put her luggage up with the others. "These are really good!" Owen says, happily enjoying his.
After that, Chris gets their attention. "Alright, first things first. We need a group photo for the promos. Everyone at the end of the dock." When the campers headed to the end of the dock, Marinette stood next to Lucy. Owen then lifts them up on his shoulders for them. Marinette and Lucy looked at each other and just shrugged with smiles. As they were smiling for the camera, "One, two, three... Oops, forgot the lens cap." After the cap was off, he took the picture, "One two- oh no, wait, card's full. Hang on."
"Come on, man. My face is starting to freeze." Leshawna said with grit teeth and a smile while rolling her eyes. "Got it. Okay, everyone say, Wawanakwa!"
When the campers said Wawanakwa, the dock suddenly collapsed. The picture was taken at the same time, which shows most of the teenagers either almost drowning and/or swimming for their lives, while the photo got Lucy and Marinette, who both smiled for the photo, before they ended up in the water along with the other campers.
"Okay, guys. Dry off and meet at the campfire at ten." Chris said.
After getting back up at the docks and drying off, Marinette heads to the campfire, where she and the rest of the campers are supposed to meet Chris. There, she sees Lucy. "Uh, is it okay if I sit here?" she asked. Lucy smiles and nods her head to her. Marinette smiled and sat down next to Lucy. Marinette then gets another macaroon out of the box and splits it in half for her and Lucy. "Marinette." "Mary-Loukritia. Lucy for short."
After a while, the rest of the campers came and sat down with the two while Chris talked, "This is Camp Wawanakwa. Your home for the next eight weeks. The campers sitting around you will be your cabin mates. Your competition. And maybe even your friends. You dig? The camper who manages to stay on Total Drama Island the longest without getting voted off will win one hundred thousand dollars!" 'Wait a minute, Total Drama Island? Voted off? One hundred thousand dollars? Isn't this supposed to be a summer camp or something?' Marinette thought, getting confused. She then snaps out of it as the punky-looking guy, who she believes is named Duncan, starts talking. "Excuse me, what will the sleeping arrangements be? Because I would like to request a bunk under one of those two," he said, motioning to Marinette and Lucy, which made them glance at each other, looking a bit uneasy. "They're not co-ed, are they?" asked Heather. "No, girls get one side of each cabin, and dudes get the other," Chris said, making Marinette and Lucy both relieved to hear that.
"Excuse me, Kyle? Can I have a cabin with a lake view since I'm the prettiest?" asked Lindsay. "Okay, you are, but that's not how it really works here. And it's Chris," said Chris.
"I have to live with Sadie, or I'll die." "And I'll break out in hives. It's true." 'I know I shouldn't think bad, but I hear worse lies from Lila/those people who got the greed and want for fame get the best of them.' Marinette and Lucy both thought to themselves while looking unamused. "This cannot be happening." Gwen lets out with sarcasm written all over the tone of her voice. "Come on, guys. It'll be fun." Owen said, trying to bring positivity to the campers while headlocking Tyler and Gwen. "It's like a big sleepover." "At least you don't have to sleep next to him," Tyler whispers to Gwen, motioning to Duncan as he gives the poor deer a headlock and a noogie.
"Here's the deal." Chris said, "We're gonna split you into two teams." 'Oh, goodie. This is like that fantasy book all over again.' Lucy thought with a hint of sarcasm, thinking that this would be like the fantasy book series she and her friends from home read back when they were in middle school. Chris continues, "If I call your name out, stand over there." With that, Chris starts calling the names of the campers. "Gwen, Trent, Heather, Cody, Lindsay, Beth, Katie, Owen, Leshawna, Justin, and Noah. From this moment on, you are officially known as the Screaming Gophers." Chris moves on to the second team. "The rest of you over here. Geoff, Bridgette, D.J, Tyler, Sadie, Izzy, Courtney, Ezekiel, Duncan, Eva, and Harold." As they head to the other side from the Screaming Gophers, Chris tells them what they're called. "You guys will be officially known as the Killer Bass."
"Wait, what about Marinette and Lucy?" Cody questions. "Well, since we can't decide which team they will be in, we decided to let the two switch teams. Isn't that fun?" Chris said, "So for right now, they will be part of the Screaming Gophers." Cody sighs in relief hearing that.
Confessional: Chris McLean
"You'll also share your innermost thoughts on tape, with video diaries, anytime. Let the audience at home know what you're thinking. Or get something off your chest."
Confessional: Lucy Corleone
"Ciao, to all of my gattini back from home and over the world! I must say, this show you all have recommended me to be on is very impressive so far. Even though it's already getting its ups and downs, I believe I'm going to be just fine here in Wawanakwa."
Confessional: Marinette Dupain-Cheng
"Okay. I don't know what to say in this confessional. But I like to say, this is gonna be a good camping experience for me."
"Alright, any questions? Cool. Let's find your cabins."
With that, they headed over to the location where their cabins were so the campers could get settled.
"Gophers, you're in the east cabin, bass, you're in the west," Chris explains. When the Screaming Gophers got to their cabin, Heather looked as if she saw someone grow another head. "Bunk beds? Isn't this a little, summer camp?" she asked. "That's the idea, genius," Gwen said as she moved past Heather. Heather scoffs, "Shut it, weird goth girl."
'Oh great. And here I thought The Sides' rivalry was terrible enough. By the end of this show and season, Gwen and Heather are going to have a stronger rivalry than The Sides themselves.' Lucy thought, rolling her eyes as she unpacked. "Look, if you two are gonna start a rivalry, leave me out of the chaos. I already had enough drama in my life since my freshman year of high school," she said, with seriousness and venom in her tone. Heather and Gwen shivered from her venomous words. They know that Lucy is not someone to mess with, so they keep their mouths shut and start to unpack their things. "You're smart. I feel that." Lucy turned to see Cody. "Shouldn't you be on the boy's side?" Gwen asked.
After that, Gwen threw Cody out of the girl's side of the cabin. That was until Lindsay then asked another question. "Where are the outlets? I have to plug in my straightening iron." "There are some in the communal bathrooms, just across the way," Chris explained. "Communal bathrooms? But I'm not Catholic." "Not communion. Communal." "It means we shower together, Lindsay. But I wouldn't worry about it. It's not like those shower rooms from the horror book and film versions of Stephanie Queen's Clara. There's a difference." Lucy explained, telling Lindsay what communal means. "Oh, okay," Lindsay said, now understanding what Lucy meant about the communal bathrooms. Then Geoff started talking to Chris. "Excuse me, Chris. Is there a chaperone of any kind in this facility?" "You're all sixteen years old," Chris said. "As old as a counselor in training at a regular summer camp. So, other than myself, you'll be unsupervised. You've got half an hour to unpack and meet me back at the main lodge. Starting now." "Nice," said Geoff.
Suddenly, a scream was heard loud and clear outside of the cabin. The teens looked to see it was Lindsay, who was getting away from the cockroach. D.J. screamed as well as they all saw the roach, then leaped on a bed in fear and broke it. "That was my bed," Gwen said, looking unamused.
The roach continues to crawl, and the campers are screaming in fear and avoiding the cockroach. Then, Duncan holds an axe, ready to decapitate it. Until Marinette stops him, has the roach in her fingers, and takes it outside. "There. No cockroaches in my cabin," she said. Marinette then heads back to the cabin, where everyone looks surprised. "My uncle dealt with bugs like cockroaches back then," she explained while she continued unpacking. "Nice," Lucy said as she and Marinette fist-pound.
After that, they went to the main lodge. Marinette and Lucy thanked the chef for the food he made and gave them, and they walked to sit down with the Gophers. After a little while, Chris enters. "Welcome to the main lodge," he said. "Yo, my man. Can we order a pizza?" Geoff asked. That was until Chef tosses a cooking knife that barely misses Chris on the left and to Marinette's right. Everyone became scared of that. Everyone except Chris, Marinette, and Lucy. "Whoa! It's cool, G! Brown slop is cool! Right guys?" The campers agreed in fear. Chris then continues, "Your first challenge begins in one hour."
"What do you think they'll make us do?" Katie asked. "It's our first challenge." said D.J. "How bad can it be?"
"Whoa." said Lucy. When the challenge came, everyone was now in their swimwear, on a thousand-foot cliff, seeing that this was their first challenge.
"Non l'ho visto arrivare, eh?"
"Nope. Did not see that coming."
"Okay, today's challenge is threefold. Your first task is to jump off this one-thousand-foot-high cliff into the lake." Chris said, explaining the challenge tasks to the campers. "If you look down, you will see two target areas." They all looked to see the two target areas Chris was talking about. "The wider area represents the part of the lake that we have stocked with psychotic man-eating sharks." Marinette gulps, as she already noticed the sharks. Chris continues, "Inside that area is a Safe Zone. That's your target area. Which we're pretty sure is shark-free." "Excuse me?" said Leshawna. "For each member of your team that jumps and survives, there will be a crate of supplies waiting below. Inside the crates are supplies that you will need for the second part of the challenge. Building a hot tub. The team with the best one gets to have a wicked hot tub party tonight. The losers will be sending someone home." After explaining their first challenge, Chris starts the challenge. "Let's see. Killer Bass, you're up first."
"So, who wants to go first?" Bridgette asked. The rest of the Killer Bass team were silent, not volunteering to be the first to take the first dive down from the cliff to the Safe Zone. The Screaming Gophers were even quiet. The atmosphere felt like a person could cut it easily with a plastic butter knife. That was until Owen breaks the ice, trying to lighten the mood. "Hey, don't sweat it, guys. I heard that these shows always make the interns do the stunt first to be sure it's survivable," he said. Marinette and Lucy smiled. "Owen's right, guys. I'm sure they did test it out. After all, the last thing this place needs is a lawsuit." Marinette said encouragingly. Lucy nods in agreement, "Yeah, and I'll be darned if that happens." Lucy said with confidence already running in her veins. After agreeing that this was tested before they arrived, the Killer Bass continued, trying to figure out who was jumping first. "So, who's up?" asked Eva. "Ladies first," said Duncan. "Fine. I'll go." Bridgette said. "You got this, Bridgette," Lucy said. Marinette nods in agreement. "No regrets!" Bridgette smiles.
After that, she says as she prepares to dive, "It's no big deal. It's just an insane cliff dive into a circle of angry sharks." As she jumped, she made it safely into the Safe Zone. The campers were happy seeing that she made it into the Safe Zone. "She did it!" said Tyler. "Yeah! I'm next!" With that, Tyler jumps next, letting out a 'Cowabunga' until he lands on a buoy. Bridgette winced the pain she had witnessed, while Tyler groaned in pain, yet he was still in the Safe Zone.
Geoff jumps off the cliff after Tyler. Eva was next, letting out a 'Lookout below!', and then Duncan, who was crossing his arms, not looking amused. It was D.J.'s turn, however, "Uh-uh. No way, man. I'm not jumping." "Scared of heights?" asked Chris. "Yeah. Ever since I was a kid." said D.J. "That's okay, big guy. Unfortunately, that also makes you a chicken. So, you'll have to wear this for the rest of the day." Chris explained, putting a chicken hat on D.J.'s head. "Oh, man. For real?" said D.J. After balking like an actual chicken, "That means the chicken path down is that way." Chris said, pointing to an escalator that was surprisingly there at the cliff. As D.J. walks to the escalator, Marinette stops him, saying, "It's okay, D.J. There's no shame about not doing it due to a fear of heights." D.J. smiled. "Thanks, Marinette," he said.
After D.J. went to the Chicken Path, Ezekiel was next. He jumps until he bumps into a rock on the cliff, spinning in circles, and makes it safely into the Safe Zone. The Killer Bass, who jumped off, cheered while Ezekiel gave a thumbs up. Harold was next. He jumped until he landed in the Safe Zone on his crotch, which caused him to scream in pain, which made everyone, including the sharks, wince the pain he was now in.
"Oh, hate to see that happen," said Chris. "Excuse me, Chris. I have a medical condition." Courtney announced to him. "What condition?" "A condition that prevents me from jumping off cliffs." "You can chicken out if you want. But it might end up costing your team the win. And they will hate you." Chris said, pointing out what would happen if Courtney chickened out. "It's a calculated risk. I've seen the other team, and I don't think any of them will jump." "Alright, here's your chicken hat," Chris said, putting the chicken hat on Courtney's head. After that, he looks at his clipboard, tallying up the results. "That's eight jumpers and two chickens. We're missing one."
Sadie complained that she couldn't jump without Katie. After a minute of the two begging Chris, Izzy offers to switch teams with Katie, so as a result, Chris gives in. Making Katie part of the Killer Bass and Izzy with the Screaming Gophers. After that, Sadie and Katie jumped, joining the rest of the Killer Bass.
"Okay. So that's nine jumpers and two chickens. Screaming Gophers, if you can beat that, we'll throw in a pole cart to put your crates on." Chris said to the Screaming Gophers. "Nice," Trent said. "Okay, guys. Who's up first?"
"I'm sorry," Heather said, crossing her arms. "There's no way I'm doing this." "Why not?" Beth asked. "Hello? National T.V. I'll get my hair wet." 'Excuses, excuses, excuses. Oh, great. Now I sound like Mr. Sword Maker.' Lucy thought, with an eye twitch from both her stress and anger, until she looked unamused, sounding like a certain someone she knew as a child. She then snaps out of it when she hears her team continue, "You're kidding right?" said Gwen. "If she's not doing it, I'm not doing it," Lindsay said. "Lindsay, please, you don't have to blindly follow Heather's way," Marinette said. "Oh, you're doing it," said Leshawna.
After seeing Heather and Leshawna arguing, Lucy starts to see red. She stomps to Heather, grabs her, holds her up, and stomps to the end of the cliff. "I'm sorry, Heather. But I have about enough of this messed up drama that we have witnessed. Your lousy little excuses and talkbacks are just nothing but a giant waste of my time and everyone else's. So, shut your trap, shove it down, and get in there, NOW!" After saying that, Lucy throws Heather into the Safe Zone. "And that, campers, is a life lesson. Do NOT make a Corleone mad." Chris said with a smile on his face.
CONFESSIONAL: MARY-LOUKRITIA CORLEONE
"I had this stress and anger issue combination since my first day and freshman year of high school. After going through some things, I've been having these two issues all my life, to this day. The only thing good to know is that I have two systems of calming my stress and anger. And one of them is my two essential oils." Lucy then shows two bottles of essential oils labeled Stress and Anger Management. "These two are the only things that can help me calm down when I'm out. Without them, who knows what could happen."
Heather gets up from the lake, catches her breath, and glares daggers at Lucy. "Corleone, you are so dead!" she yelled for Lucy to hear. "Hey! She threw you into the Safe Zone, didn't she?" yelled Leshawna. She then turned to the rest of the team and said, "Now I just hope I can hit it too." After that, she jumped and made it safely into the Safe Zone with Heather.
Lindsay was then next, yet she appeared to be scared. "I thought this was going to be a talent contest," she said in fear. Chris laughs, "Yeah, no." After Lindsay jumped off the cliff. Then it was Gwen, followed by Cody, and then Izzy.
Justin was next, but after he jumped, he made it outside the Safe Zone. However, the sharks took him to the other jumpers and chickens instead of attacking him. "He's even popular with sea creatures." Lucy said, surprised. Beth then chickens out, which makes it Marinette's turn. She gulps, looking down. "I can jump with you, Nettie." Marinette looked to see Lucy smiling at her. Marinette smiles. She took a quick breath, and with that, she and Lucy both jumped. When they did, Marinette saw she was in the Safe Zone. The jumpers and chickens cheer for her. As she gets on the boat, she sees that Lucy is not in the Safe Zone. "Lucy, look out!" Cody yelped. But before the sharks can attack her, Lucy grabs the two sharks by the gills and pulls them the way a child does to a mother's earrings, which makes them swim away from her. "Thank you, fact-checking," Lucy said, swimming to the boat to join Marinette.
After Trent jumped, Chris talked to the rest of the jumpers and chickens with a megaphone, "Okay, campers. There's only one person left. You guys need this jump for the win." Chris then turns to Owen, "No pressure, dude." After a quick pause, "Okay, there's pressure." The Screaming Gophers started cheering for Owen to jump.
CONFESSIONAL: OWEN
"Oh, I was pretty darn nervous. You see the thing is, I'm not that strong a swimmer."
CONFESSIONAL: GEOFF
"I'm looking at this guy and thinking, there's no way he's gonna make it."
They all looked up to see Owen if he could jump or not. Then, he jumps, landing in the Safe Zone, making a big splash that splashes on the campers. Including the sharks. "The winners! The Screaming Gophers!" Chris announced. "That was awesome, dude," Trent said. That was until Owen started looking around. "What's wrong?" "I uh, I think I lost my bathing suit." The campers groaned in disgust.
"My eyes and ears will never be clean," Lucy said as she looked away while Marinette agreed. "I noticed," she said.
After hitting the showers and changing into casual clothes, they returned to bring the crates to their cabins. The Screaming Gophers use the pole cart they won, while the Killer Bass all have to carry all of theirs. When the Screaming Gophers got to the campground, they started using their teeth to open their crates.
After opening their crates, they got the supplies they needed to build their hot tub. While Lucy and Leshawna were getting the supplies, Heather and Lindsey walked to the two. "I just wanted to say I didn't mean that about you being a ghetto rap star wannabe. And I love your earrings. They're so pretty." she said, making amends to Leshawna. "Straight up?" Leshawna asked. "Well, I'm sorry I threw you over the cliff," Lucy said with a smile and crossed her arms. "No worries. I needed a push," said Heather.
After making up with Heather, they continued getting the supplies out. They then looked to see that the Killer Bass made it. Lucy then noticed something. "Hey, where are Sadie and Katie?" she asked. "They're just getting a drink," Courtney said, quickly answering the question. Marinette gasps as she sees Courtney's right swollen eye. "Courtney, what happened?" She asked. Courtney realized what she was asking about, and she quickly covered her eye with her hand. "Nothing, it's just an allergy," she said. "I think it's getting worse." Ezekiel pointed out. "Shut it. We don't want them to know that," whispered Courtney.
After a while, the Screaming Gophers got all the supplies and started building the hot tub. Then, it was finally time for Chris to see them. Chris starts with the Screaming Gophers. "This is an awesome hot tub!" he said. Chris then heads over to the Killer Bass with their hot tub. However, when he checked it out, the hot tub fell apart.
"Well, I think we have a winner here...the Screaming Gophers!" Chris announced. The Screaming Gophers cheered upon hearing that they had won the challenge. "Gophers, you're from elimination, and you get to rock this awesome hot tub for the rest of the summer. Bonus!" he said to them. Marinette was happy to hear that her team won the challenge. 'Maybe this camp isn't so bad after all.' she thought happily. Chris then turns to the Killer Bass. "Killer Bass, what can I say? Stinks to be you right now. I'll see your sorry butts at the bonfire tonight." he said.
"Our first day in this cruddy summer camp and the coolest part of it is that we won our first challenge and we get to stay for the next three days. Best summer experience we'll have ever." Lucy said, holding her fist up to Marinette, "Punch it in." Marinette understood it was a fist pound, smiled, fist-pounded with Lucy, and said, "Punch it in."
After that, everyone was back at the lounge, eating the dinner Chef had made. Lucy was enjoying her dinner when she heard the Killer Bass' conversation about who should be voted off their team.
"Well, I think it should be Princess or the brick house here," Duncan said, pointing to Courtney and D.J.. "What? Why?" Courtney asked. "Because unless I'm mistaken, you two are the only ones here wearing chicken hats. And if we ever have to lift a truck, I like our odds with the big guy." Duncan explained. "But you guys need me," exclaimed Courtney. "I'm the only one-" "We know," Bridgette said, interrupting Courtney before she can finish her sentence. "You used to be a real CIT. Who would you pick?" Courtney looks around and then points to Tyler. "What about him?" "NO!" yelled Lindsey. The Screaming Gophers and the Killer Bass to her, and she started making an excuse to get the unwanted attention away from her. "I mean no...salt, There's no salt on the table, bummer." "Oh, sorry, Lindsey, I lent it to Cody. Here." Marinette says as Cody passes it to Lindsey. "Thanks," said Lindsey. "Hey, at least he jumped off the cliff, chicken wing." "Shut it!" "Okay, let's just chill out," Geoff said, trying to stop the argument between Courtney and Duncan. "This is getting way too heavy." "I've had enough prison food for one day," Duncan says as he gets up. "I'm gonna go have a nap." "You can't do that! We haven't decided who's going yet!" yelled Courtney. "Well, I just don't get why we lost, eh? They're the ones that have eight girls. And one of them is being a hot idol wannabe." Hearing Ezekiel say those words caused everyone, including Duncan, to freeze in shock. Marinette spat out her water while Lucy coughed from her water after hearing those words come out of Ezekiel's mouth.
"What's that supposed to mean?" asked Bridgette. "Yeah, homeschool. Enlighten us!" Eva said, putting her fist on the table. "Well, guys are much stronger and better at sports, music, singing, and dancing than girls are," said Ezekiel. Lucy's eyes started glowing red in rage after hearing that. No one around her was aware of her now glowing eye. "Oh, snap. He did not just say that," said Geoff. Ezekiel continued. "My dad told me to look out for the girls, eh? And to help them in case they can't keep up." Eva then grabbed Ezekiel by the neck with her two hands and lifted him. "Still think we need your help keeping up?" she asked, shaking him to prove her point. "Not really," he said. Geoff then jumps in. "Okay, guys. Let's give him a break," he said, while Eva dropped Ezekiel. "I mean, at least he doesn't think that guys are smarter than girls." "But, they are," said Ezekiel.
"Okay... THAT DOES IT!" Lucy yelled, grabbing Ezekiel. She then takes him back to the cliff, throws him outside the Safe Zone, and yells, "FATALITY YOU, YOU BETA-PUNK! GO BURN IN LAVA!" After that, she walks off, dusting off her hands and ignoring all the screams from Ezekiel while he was swimming away from the sharks.
CONFESSIONAL: MARY-LOUKRITIA CORLEONE
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention the triggers of my anger issue. One is sexist punks, sexism, misogyny, misogynists, and chauvinists. People and things like that always get on my nerves since I was four. And don't even get me started on that play I used to be on when I was that age." Lucy stuck her tongue out in disgust, reminiscing what happened in her old school days.
After a while, it was finally time for the bonfire elimination ceremony. All the girls in the Killer Bass were already glaring at Ezekiel after what happened in the main lodge. "Dude, you've got a lot to learn about the real world," Duncan said. Chris then gets the team's attention. "Killer Bass. At camp, marshmallows represent what you enjoy by the fire. At this camp, marshmallows represent life. You've all cast your votes. There are only ten marshmallows on this plate. When I call your name, come up and claim your marshmallow. The camper who does not receive a marshmallow tonight must immediately return to the Dock of Shame. To catch the Boat of Losers. That means you're out of the contest. And you can't come back. Ever. The first marshmallow goes to...Geoff. Tyler. Katie. Bridgette. D.J.. Harold. Sadie. Duncan. Campers, this is the final marshmallow of the evening...Courtney." Courtney was relieved to know that she was okay and not eliminated. "Can't say I'm shocked. Saw you picking your nose, dude. Not cool." Chris said to Ezekiel. "Dock of Shame is that way, bro." As Ezekiel walks to the Dock of Shame, Chris turns to the rest of the Killer Bass. "The rest of you. Enjoy your marshmallows. You're all safe. For tonight."
CONFESSIONAL: GWEN
"Yup. This camp pretty much still stinks. But now that I'm here, I guess I might as well try to win."
After the elimination ceremony concluded, the Screaming Gophers were celebrating. For their victory. Lucy and Marinette raised their lemonade juice boxes and said in unison, "To the Screaming Gophers!" "To the Screaming Gophers!" their team cheered.
The Killer Bass were heading to their cabin, and Courtney stopped. "Are you recording this? Good. They can enjoy their little party all they want. But I'm gonna win this competition. And no one is gonna stop me." she said. That was until a water balloon hit her on the head.
"Sorry! Foul ball!" called Lucy.

Chapter Five-Nature is No Picnic Up Close (The Sucky Outdoors)
Tumblr media
It was just another ordinary day like any other in Camp Wawanawkwa.
Where all of the campers are at the campsite, listening to Chris talk to them about their next challenge. "Campers, today's challenge will test your outdoor survival skills. I'm not gonna lie to you, some of you may not come back alive. Just joking." he laughed. "All you have to do is spend one night in the woods. Everything you need is at your team's campsite in the forest. You just have to find it." Chris then tosses Lucy and Duncan a map and a compass for each of the two of them. "Oh, and watch out for bears. Lost a couple of interns in preproduction." "I'm sure we'll keep that in mind," Lucy said, handing Gwen the map and compass. "You sure are fearless all of a sudden," Gwen said, looking surprised at Lucy's unamused look on her face. "Well, you could say that this isn't the first time I was in the great outdoors," Lucy explained as she got her BerryPod and earphones out.
CONFESSIONAL: MARY-LOUKRITIA CORLEONE
"I'd just like to thank my friend Angie for this BerryPod and earphones." Lucy said, holding a light purple sticky note that says in violet-purple pen 'Just thought you might need it while at camp-Angie.' "I know I said my family doesn't do technology like everyone else, but there is one thing I miss doing back home, and that is listening to my music in my record player. My favorite music I like to play is classical, all songs from the 1950s to the early 2000s. In other words, from 2000 to 2009. Some 2010 songs I can tolerate, notice I said I only like some of them. I have reasons why. Anyway, I'm still grateful for Angie giving me this. Thanks, Ang. I owe you one." she said, waving at the camera to her friend.
"First team back for breakfast wins invincibility." Chris then blows his airhorn while some of the campers get up from their seats and start walking. "Well, off you go." "Did he say there are bears up in here?" asked Leshawna. "I had a little encounter with a bear once." said Owen. "Let's just say his head looks real nice up on my mantel." "Oh, this one time, I saw a bear eating our garbage. He had old spaghetti noodles hanging from his big, huge teeth, and it looked like blood and guts." Izzy explained. "And possibly some moldy spots along with it," Lucy muttered, sticking her tongue in disgust while Marinette quietly giggled from that. "It was so gross. And we thought he was eating the neighbor's cat Simba. But it turned out he was just lost for a week." "Better the cat alive than dead." Lucy muttered again, with Marinette nodding in agreement.
A little while later, the Screaming Gophers were walking to their campsite. After another little while, while the three were still walking ahead of the other Screaming Gophers, Heather scoffs while rubbing her hand. "She is so the next one to leave," she said. "Who?" Beth asked. "Who do you think? She had her box trap my hand in front of everyone." "Yeah, but you did almost read her diary out loud to the entire world. ALMOST." Gwen pointed out. Hearing that made Heather stand her ground and make the others behind her stop. "So?" "So, that was pretty harsh," Gwen said, with Cody nodding in agreement.
"She is going down." Just then, a rock was thrown at the back of Heather's head, causing her to yell out an 'ow' from it and turn her head to see who threw it. There, she sees Lucy turning to her left, furiously glaring at her deadly. Yet, Heather's eyes widened, seeing the left side of Lucy's face. Her glowing eye and withered, gray skin covered in glowing scars, and a scar over her said left eye. Seeing that caused Heather to scream in fear, running and getting behind Owen, making the other Screaming Gophers look at her confused. It then alarmed Trent and Marinette, causing the two to turn around. "What's wrong?" Marinette asked. Heather tried to tell them while pointing at Lucy, but all that came out of her mouth were sputters and stutters. However, when they turned to look at Lucy, Lucy was just walking, still listening to her music, and not aware of what was going on behind her. "Lucy isn't doing anything, Heather." Marinette and Trent then continue walking with Lucy. Along with the rest of the Screaming Gophers following along with them. Heather was both shocked and in disbelief about why they never noticed Lucy's face when she turned to her.
CONFESSIONAL: HEATHER
"I don't know what that was...but something is not right with that Corleone girl," Heather said, shaking in fear of what she saw.
When they got to their location, Owen pointed out that there was no food. "Well, this is a survival task, Owen," Lucy said. "Lucy's right. Look at the instructions." "I wonder if there are any bears around today." Owen said. "Wouldn't it be funny if we made some bear sounds, and then they came?" Izzy laughs at Owen's idea. "That would be so funny," she said. As Owen does his bear impression, Heather shushes him. "Will you please shut it? I'm trying to read here," she said, looking at the instructions. "It says we're supposed to find our own food." Heather scoffs. "I still don't see it." "I think they mean in the woods, Heather," Marinette said, pointing at the words that were in small font in the instructions. "Leave the food finding to me," Lucy said loudly, getting out a fishnet and a spear. As she walked off, the rest of the Screaming Gophers looked at her, surprised. "Where did that girl get the spear and the fishnet?" asked Leshawna, pointing the two things in Lucy's hands. "She probably got them from Chris or Chef," Heather said, rolling up the map.
CONFESSIONAL: MARY-LOUKRITIA CORLEONE
"Actually, they are my stuff one of my relatives gave me one summer," Lucy said, holding up an old photo of her tween self, holding the same spear and fishnet. "Like I said, it's not the first time I was in the great outdoors."
After setting up the campfire, the Screaming Gophers waited awhile until Lucy came back. Heather complained that she was starving while Izzy groaned. "I think my stomach ate my stomach," she said. That was until they heard a pizza guy call out. "Yo! Who ordered the pepperoni...extra cheese?" "It's for the camera crew, over here." "No way," Heather said in disbelief. "Well, this is a survival task. I don't think they mean we can't use any modern things like ordering food." Marinette said, with Trent and Gwen nodding in agreement. "Alright, I'm back," Lucy called out, with a fish in her spear and thirteen fish in her fishnet. "Are you kidding me?"
"Alright, Lucy!" Owen said happily. "You're awesome." said Trent. Izzy excitedly said she loves fish and tried to bite it. However, she stopped. "I guess we should cook it first, huh?"
With that, they started cooking the fish. "Alright, fire's hot, fish is grilling, and we already got the tent set up," Lucy said as she looked at the tent, and Marinette looked at the fish. "Nice going, Lucy, fish looks awesome." "Thanks. I owe it all to my relatives back home." Suddenly, Heather notices something. "Hey, has anyone seen Crazy Girl?" she asked. "I think she had to use the can." Owen guessed. "But that was over an hour ago." Trent said. Lucy motions to Marinette that they'll go and find her. Marinette nodded, and the two headed off to find Izzy while the others called for her.
As the two headed to find her, they walked to see the Killer Bass. "Well, well, well. Look who finally decided to join us." Duncan said. "Funny, Juvie. Hey, have you guys seen Izzy?" "No, sorry, Lucy," Courtney said. "Man, that bambina is gonna put us six-feet under. Thanks." Before the two can continue finding Izzy, Lucy and Marinette notice the rabbit. "Where'd you find that?" she asked as she and Marinette sat down. Before D.J. can answer, they hear an owl hooting, which startles Bridgette. "It's okay, Bridgette. It's just an owl." Marinette said, comforting her.
"Sorry, I just get really freaked out in the forest," Bridgette said. "Hey, if it's any consolation, sometimes nature is a wonder to behold. Well, not all the time, honestly," Lucy said. "Why? What's wrong with it?" asked Harold. Lucy crosses her arms, looking down, saying, "Well, it's kinda hard to explain, really." "Huh, I thought you said that it wasn't the first time you were in the great outdoors," Duncan said. "I did. But sometimes nature is honestly no picnic. Asides from being in one that is bear-country on one side of it, and dealing with..." Marinette and the Killer Bass looked surprised seeing Lucy like this. Lucy crossed her arms, held herself tight, never let go, and looked down, not feeling comfortable continuing, her shaking as if she experienced something traumatizing, and her face looked like she was scarred for life. With that, Courtney smacked Duncan on the head.
"See what you did?! You're making her feel scared now!" she said angrily. "Courtney, it's fine. It was just a nightmare I just had before I got into this show." Lucy said, snapping out of it. "I got a bit carried away reading old newspaper articles. One of them was about a former country idol, and a female idol from another genre. I guess I read that one too much that it gave me that nightmare, making me be the said female idol, being hunted down by that creepy former country idol...Ah, man, I forgot his name. It's kinda the same name as a bird. But I forgot what bird it was." Courtney and the others understand, but Courtney then glares at Duncan. "You are so vile. Do your parents even like you?" "I don't know, Gawky McShocker. I haven't asked them lately." Then, wolves start to howl, which startles Marinette into jumping into Duncan's arms in fear and looking scared, not aware of Duncan looking at her, then at Geoff, causing him to give Duncan a smile and a thumbs up.
After a bit, it was time for them to sleep. They offered Lucy and Marinette to join, and since there was no turning back to the Screaming Gophers since it was getting pretty late, they accepted. As they sleep, Lucy hears Bridgette outside. She pops her head out to see what is going on and notices Bridgette accidentally falling with a bat on her face, which causes her to kick a burning charcoal up and over to their tent. Lucy then quickly catches it and tosses it back into the fire. The Killer Bass sighed in relief when they saw her do that. Lucy then heads over to Bridgette, getting the bat off of her. "Come on, Vinnie Stoker, off the gal and head back with your pals," she said, letting the bat fly off. She then turns and helps Bridgette up.
After that, they all head back to their tent and back to sleep on time before the rain starts. By the next morning, Marinette was resting in Duncan's arms until she started to wake up. "Morning, Sunshine." Marinette's eyes opened, and she realized that she was on top of Duncan. "Oh my gosh, I am so sorry!" Marinette gasped, quickly getting off of him. "Seriously? Cuddling Nettie like that? Not cool, Juvie." Lucy said, looking at Duncan unamused. "Hey, I was calmly lying on my back and trying to catch a few z's. She was snuggling up to me." "You are one heck of a beta-punk." "I've been called worse." Lucy rolled her eyes and walked. "Come on, Nettie. We're leaving. Hope the gang found Izzy and they'll meet us at the campsite." Lucy said, with Marinette walking next to her.
CONFESSIONAL: MARY-LOUKRITIA CORLEONE
"I am not trusting that Juvenile one bit whenever Nettie is with him. If he ever hurts a hair on that bambina, he will regret it."
When they got back to the campsite, Chris was there. "Glad you two made it. You two can head back into the main lodge and help Chef out." "Sweet!" Lucy said, looking like she's won a Platinum Record at the music awards. Marinette happily nodded, and the two headed over to the main lodge.
As the two left, the Killer Bass made it, too.
After breakfast and the Tuck Shop, every one of the Screaming Gophers was hanging out in their hot tub, having fun. "Oh, my gosh, this is so good! I never thought chips could taste so good!" Owen said. "I think I'm gonna be sick." "Got you covered, Owen," Lucy said, handing him a bucket. Owen gratefully takes it, turns around, and throws up the chips in the bucket she gave him. "That is so incredibly gross," Heather complained. "Ah, that's better. Thanks, Lucy," Lucy nods with a smile. "Hey, by the way, where were you two anyway?" Gwen asked. "Oh, we were at the Killer Bass's tent. It was getting late, and we didn't have a choice." Marinette said. "Well, as long as you two are safe, that's fine," Cody said, which made Trent nod in agreement. "And you two made it before we did, which got us to win the challenge, so I guess I'll make an exception," Heather said, munching on her chips. "The Screaming Gophers rule!" Owen cheered.
Later that night, it was time for the elimination ceremony.
After the elimination ceremony, Lucy and Marinette are sitting on the steps of the Killer Bass cabin, reading another Stephanie Queen book and sketching designs on her sketchpad, while Duncan walks over and sits down next to them. "Hey, Duncan," said Marinette. "What do you want?" Lucy asked, glaring at him and trying to continue reading her book. "I just want to say that I'm sorry I asked that question, making you remember that nightmare." "Hey, you're lucky I had my essential oils on me, or else I would've brutalitied you into a pulp." "Brutalitied?" "Oh, it's slang my people and I usually use back then. Anyway, just know that I accept your apology." Lucy and Marinette then got up and headed over to the Screaming Gophers cabin for bed, not aware of Duncan looking at Marinette romantically.
