Getting stumped on plot continuation, only to stumble face first into it continuing feels something like falling through previously thought indestructible glass, directly into a cushioned throne. Now I just have to make sure I don't get carried away with how long this part continues for ;v;

Chapter 14 eventually - I haven't given up on Heartbeat, my brain just has Demands and refuses to help otherwise

Mini update on Heartbeat Program (I was busy with the Yuuri event): Zarc is the most annoying character to write for, so next chapter probably isn't him (even though he's kind of needed for some AU details ;v;)

Thinking about Heartland and its design decisions (which immediately went into the headcanon zone)
If Heartland is/was designed to be a utopia for children to live in (for a card-game based world), then I wouldn't be surprised if Heartland scientists figured out revival, cloning, and mind and/or memory relocation entirely so some kids stuck in the hospital their whole life would get to live outside of it (even in a new body that doesn't have the problem they were permanently hospitalised for) if they wanted to.
And because this is Arc V, nothing's ever what you see directly on the surface, so I wouldn't be surprised if the unethical decision of keeping clones of kids, specifically with... weirdly high energy readings, in order to study what caused it even through their recklessness would still be possible. ... ok that might be too on the nose,

Yuuto. (and Ruri?) at the thought that their happiness/freedom rests on if some tech buried under a wasteland#will still work perfectly fine and isn't broken in some way after a three year war#Shun's already in a sad position. but being a ghost and knowing salvation is both in your home but may never come to fruition?
