The long-awaited petrol variant of S-cross is finally released. Though it is a few months late due to the ongoing pandemic the variant will leave you astounded.

Previously, it just had diesel variant models and was also at a higher price.

Now, the powerful beast has 1.5-litre K15 petrol engine with both options of automatic and manual transmission available and is economical too when compared with its diesel variant.

The curtain raiser is the new petrol engine and the BS6 compliance which will actually differ the price. The anticipated price of the Maruti S-Cross 2020 will be from Rs 9 lakhs to Rs 12 lakhs.

All new S-cross petrol variants are offered with the Petrol engine of 1462 cc. Nexa gave S -Cross the new 1.5-litre K15 BS6 petrol motor. New Maruti Suzuki S-Cross engine details revealed

NEW DELHI: Maruti Suzuki S-Cross BS6, which will be launched on August 5, will come in four variants. We were the first to report the launch date of 2020 S-Cross. The new iteration will sport a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 105 PS of power and 138 Nm while mated to either five-speed manual or 4-speed AGS transmission. The S-Cross will be offered across four variants namely- Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha of which the latter three get an automatic transmission. The top-spec S-Cross gets a touchscreen infotainment system with Maruti’s Smartplay studio, dual front airbags, climate control, height adjustment for the driver’s seat, leather upholstery, and for the first time a colour MID in the instrument panel. The S-Cross is Maruti’s rival for the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, and the Renault Duster. It’s expected to be priced in the range Expected price Rs 7.5 lakh – 12 lakh (ex-showroom). Maruti Suzuki has also begun accepting bookings for the petrol-powered S-Cross. Customers can book the car at their nearest Nexa dealership or on the Nexa website, against a payment of Rs 11,000.
