Poco pudo disfrutar José Manuel Urcera la pole porque, a los pocos minutos, tuvo que subirse nuevamente al Citroën C4 Lounge para disputar la Carrera clasificatoria. Pero los festejos y el desahogo se produjeron 12 giros después, cuando venció de punta a punta en el trazado 9 del autódromo "Oscar y Juan Gálvez" y le dio los primeros cinco puntos al equipo Citroën Total Racing.

Debutar con un triunfo es muy bueno. Se lo dedico al equipo que me dio un gran auto. Contento por estar primero en el campeonato, je, nunca había estado puntero. Pernía intentó atacar al principio e íbamos a un ritmo muy rápido. Tenemos un ritmo bárbaro, que ese era el punto de duda que teníamos. Mañana tendremos más vueltas, así que veremos cómo funcionamos", indicó el rionegrino.

Con respecto a la performance del Citroën C4 Lounge en la presentación, Urcera manifestó por Campeones. "Es algo increíble. Debutar y lograr el mejor tiempo es buenísimo. Javier está un escalón arriba del resto y lo demostramos en pista. En mi interior pensaba que íbamos a andar muy bien, pero esto es más de lo esperado. Ojalá que mañana podamos mantener el nivel".

La lucha con Pernía fue al límite, pero no por entrar en roces o chapa a chapa sino porque las dos máquinas iban muy rápido. "Manu venía clasificando, al límite y yo venía sin carga, por lo que castigué mucho el auto para seguirle el ritmo en las primeras siete vueltas para ver si se equivocaba, pero no se equivocó", comentó el Tanito.

Matías Rossi, en tanto, se conformó con el tercer puesto con el Toyota Corolla del Toyota Gazoo Racing, ya que no contó con la performance deseada y tuvo que defenderse de los ataques de Facundo Ardusso (Renault Fluence). "No me gusta correr a la defensiva pero no queda otra. No estamos rápidos. Estamos penando en las curvas rápidas y en el resto muy bien. No les pude seguir el ritmo a Pernía y Urcera, que claramente eran más rápidos. Ahora veremos con Bruna cómo progresar en el sector dos. Si mejoramos ahí, tendré para defenderme en el resto del trazado".

La grilla de partida de la competencia de mañana se largará como finalizaron la Carrera clasificatoria. La misma será a 40 vueltas, desde las 12.05.
