What do you think about Property Police? Bc I just spent 15 straight minutes thinking about ccMartyn going to extreme lenghts to prank Jimmy and make him laugh during their streams together (I once saw him spend 30 minutes preparing a very simple prank simply bc "omg this is so funny I have to surprise Jimmy with this"), and also Jimmy saying that he was a Martyn fanboy and how it's crazy they ended up being friends, and Martyn getting angry at people who were saying that Jimmy cheated his way to 1M subs, and Martyn's daughter Amelia calling Jimmy "Mr Tickles", and kjsndkjn they have so much story together and it feels like every time Martyn gets bored in the life series (which is a lot, ehem ADHD ehem) he always ends up looking for Jimmy on instict. I just love their friendship. Remember the toy boxes on New Life smp? Bc yes those were a part of the toy jokes but they were made with so much dedication and effort and were a much better version of the joke bc by the end Martyn was not even trying to make fun of Jimmy, but wanted to impress him and be creative. Anyways, get them together on more smps pliiiiis (I just realised this is a very cc! and not c! post but oh well... I just think they are neat). Btw fun fact, every time someone gets in Martyn's chat to ask him if he will be a Hermit on the future, he always says "I don't think so, but Jimmy surely will" like he has so much trust in the man

My Property Police thoughts are more or less summed up in my post about Jimmy's Evo POV! But it is about characters strictly, as are most things I write. I don't like to comment on CCs themselves much to avoid confusion and most I can say about most of them is "ya they're cool :)" so I apologize haha. Their character relationship is kind of turbulent to me where Martyn does treat him with notable kindness and encouragement but also has a tendency to push him away for often no significant wrongdoing. Eg him lying to Jimmy about running away together in LL, but it's all a product of his internal horrors

As far as the CCs themselves go, they're undoubtedly fun and seeing Martyn believe in Jimmy is very sweet

thoughts on the big dogs dynamic in SL? i found it to be one of the more cute dynamics involving jimmy, esp as a way of him breaking out of the "team mates thinking he's incompetant" dynamic he had in previous seasons

Sorry this turned into a general Jimmy/Martyn post lol but. Oogh Big Dogs is very cute for most of it... It's certainly much better than in Evo, even though they have adopted a very similar idea for their alliance (some form of police)

Secret Life is the one POV of Jimmy's I haven't gotten to rewatching so I need to do that, or watch Martyn's to comment better, but the one moment of interest to me is their departure. Jimmy in desperation tries to push Martyn into lava to succeed at his task, to which Martyn whips out his sword (reasonable) and Jimmy runs away. They literally do not interact after that except for one brief confrontation where Martyn is still threatening and accusatory (still reasonable) while Jimmy kind of squirms, giving vague answers before running off again. That's the last time they get to really talk

A trend in Jimmy's POVs is his more affectionate than average regard for what he always refers to as home, which I surmise means his base plus allies. In Last Life even after being exiled, he refers to the Southlands as a home and hangs around them until being caught instead of picking himself back up (although he does try with the hut). Jimmy's not incompetent alone but that's what is instilled in him and it gets exasperated by his affection and desire to have someone. Martyn uses exactly that against him, telling him they'll run away together to then immediately betray Jimmy and leave him in the wilderness

Jimmy doesn't think himself able to go back to whichever place he regards as home once he's messed something up and fears the response. Happened in Last Life with the Southlands, happened with the Bread Bridge (though it was a brief expression of that sentiment and Joel was also there), and most tragically, happened with the Big Dogs where he never does truly go back home again after his attempt on Martyn (I believe he does go back to the base to pick things up once, but I think his unwillingness to meet Martyn and doing so alone still confirms this sentiment)

Sorry that this is going off course lol, but Martyn's previous treatment of Jimmy I think is just so significant in trying to judge the Big Dogs dynamic. He feels almost bipolar the way he switches between caring deeply for Jimmy and dejecting him because of personal grief or gain. The Last Life incident serves as a good example as he makes a big show of exiling Jimmy and yet is one of the few to choose for him to stay both times they put it up for vote

The Big Dogs I thiiink is the most healthy iteration of their dynamic where Martyn doesn't doubt, question and play down Jimmy's authority and competence (not to a noticeable degree at least if I remember right). It's very reminiscent of the best parts of Evo, where they drag each other along just to mess around. I do think it's very sweet but just that ending man. It fucks me up that it ended on that sad of a note reminiscent of repeated themes in their characters. Still, kudos to Martyn. He did good and I do think that when his insanity and breadwinner complex isn't getting in the way, he treats and talks of Jimmy in extremely nice ways and although I'm sad that he effectively shood Jimmy away, he was in full right to do so and he wouldn't have known that that was going to be their last interaction
