Daemon felt it the moment he made it out that dull gathering. He had a tail, a shadow, someone lurking behind him. He looks over his shoulder slowly, bringing his hands behind his back as he strides down the hall, toward the garden. He hums as he softens the sound of his walking, now absolutely certain there was a quick patter of feet behind him.

He was, in fact, being followed.

The prince then rapidly turns around, a spit second confused when he was faced with no one, but then turns down when he hears the loud and airy gasp.

A child. He knits his brows, allowing his hands to fall to his side. A child has been following him. He pulls his head back. Did he look... amicable to this little creature?

He bends a bit, raising his chin inquisitively, "who are you?"

She catches her breath from the startling she got, hands on her chest. She takes a moment before responding, lips pouting, "Sonya."

Daemon raises a brow. A vague answer, yet fitting, he thinks, for a child as tiny as she. "Why are you following me, little Sonya?"

She drops her hands, releasing a sigh, "I am not little, my lord."

He straightens up at the sound of that, face barely contorting into amusement, "tis not 'my lord', it is 'my prince'."

She purses her lips, then curtsies, "my prince."

Daemon's nostrils flare as he chuckles. He tents his hands in front of him. He shifts on his leg, "answer my question, not little Sonya."

Sonya's face scrunches. Her brows furrow, "are you not the man who likes my lady-auntie?"

His ears perk at that. He purses his lips, "you're her niece?"

"Well obviously! I said she's my lady-auntie."

Daemon raises a brow, chuckling dryly, "that doesn't answer why you are following me, girl."

"Well," she brings her hands together, "out of all the lords that like her, you're the only one that gave her sweeties," she says innocently, "so I want you to marry her."

Daemon laughs, turning away from the little girl, shaking his head in fully amusement. He leans back down, hands going to his knees, "that is because I not a lord, but a prince, child," he raises a finger and taps her nose, "and you are quite easily swayed."

Sonya pulls her head back at the prince's sentiment. She rubs her nose, face scrunched all angrily. It was truly adorable. She asserts, "do not do that again."

He straightens himself up as he chuckles under his breath, thumbs hanging on his belt, "of course. Apologies. I would not dare do such indecency to a lady again."

Sonya nods, bringing her hands to her sides, "well, now that I told you this... can you walk me back? I don't know where I am."

The prince's lips pull into a smile. He extends his hand out, "of course, my lady."

She takes his hand easily and they begin to walk off.

"If you're the prince," Sonya starts, "then that means..." she gasps, turning up to him, "you have a dragon egg!"

Daemon laughs, clutching his belly as he did so. "Even better," he turns to her, "I have a full sized dragon."

The girl's jaw drops and widens impossibly.

"SONYA!" I gasp the moment I see the tiny silhouette from afar, running towards the girl, who quickly then runs up to me

I fall to my knees when I embrace her, "oh you foolish child! I nearly died trying to look for you!"

"Worry not-"

I look up, finding a smirking man with long silver-blonde hair.

"-she was following after a man of high regard."

I am aghast by the idea. I turn from him to Sonya, eyes widening, "you were following the prince?!"

I clutch my niece's soft, round cheeks as she mutters, "I told him I wanted him to marry you."

"What?!"

Daemon snorts then releases high pitched chuckles. I shoot him an annoyed look. How dare he corrupt my sweet niece with such ideas? I should have rejected his proposal more harshly.

"He's the only one that bought you sweeties, auntie!" Sonya calls.

"Sonya-"

"They were your favorite too!" she grabs my wrists, "the other lords bought you things you don't even care for. And! They were mean to me! He held my hand while we walked here, auntie."

I pull my head back at the words of the child. My eyes dart to the man, looking all smug behind Sonya, pretending that he wasn't listening in on the conversation, even though he was holding back a shit-eating grin, "did he?"

The girl readily agreed, nodding quickly. She proceeds to whisper, "and we talked about dragons!"

I grunt. He undoubtedly took the girl's fascination of the beasts to his advantage.

I release a breath as I get to my feet. I take Sonya's hand as I step towards the prince. Daemon faux looks at the sky.

"Your highness."

Daemon turns, lips curving into a smile, "oh, my ladies."

It takes great effort for me not to roll my eyes at him, "I believe a show of gratitude is in order," I purse my lips, "thank you for bringing my Sonya back."

He exaggeratedly sighs, trying to hold back his grin, "all in a day's work, my dear. After all," he peers down at Sonya, "the children are the future."

I cannot withhold the incredulous scoff that leaves my mouth.

The man does not mind, and even ignores it, opting to get on one knee before my niece, "now, little shadow, remember what I told you on the way here."

I turn to my niece, who readily nods her head at his words.

It's funny to think how just a few months ago if someone mentioned the slightest possibility of having something romantic with Satoru, you would choke in the most exaggerated way you could before denying vehemently, unaware of destiny's plans for you.

Even if you knew Satoru since you were a child, being each other's escape from the so boring and extraneous clan meetings and messing around until some wrinkled-faced old man lost his temper and yelled at you two, you wouldn't marry him.

From the sullen boy who would always hold your hands to the energetic teenager who would pull your hair if you didn't pay attention to him, you saw all the facets of Satoru, always by his side. Still, for you, satoru is like a flower in a garden – its beauty making you momentarily forget about its thorns.

Originally, you would marry a big shot from the Zenin clan. You were not happy about it, still there's little to nothing you could do. The preparations are already being made and the Shiromuku you had to try felt like a cage against your skin, a warning of what your life would be like from then on.

As those slurred words left your mouth, Satoru's entire body seemed to tense up for a moment and for the rest of the night he seemed distant, furrowed eyebrows and thinking about something. He had ended your little hang out earlier than you expected that day, saying he had "important business calling", leaving you back at your home and saying goodbye with a hug and chaste kiss on your cheek, seemingly back to his usual silly self.

You’re never sure what’s on Satoru’s mind, so you decided not to question him despite the strange behavior. He wouldn't tell you anyway.

A week later your wedding was canceled. You would be marrying Gojo Satoru instead.

“Like, the deal being canceled so suddenly, what happened?And- wait, is my father in debt?" your body stiffened against his arms, worried. You try to move away from him a little, but satoru just pulls you closer.

By the way he just giggles in response you know he's not really listening to you. He trails kisses from your jaw to your neck, teasing lightly with his tongue before burying his nose deep in your hair. “You smell so good…” He seems strangely happy today, all smiley and clingy. “But, no. You can try to guess one more time, though.”

The same second you open your mouth to respond, muffled footsteps can be heard outside the room you're in and you know it's the maids returning with the final jewelry and makeup. Satoru took advantage of the small gap in their presence, basically barging into your room and demanding that the two of you practice kissing for when the two of you finished your vows, apparently too eager to keep his hands to himself.

he groans and drops his head on your shoulder, before looking at you with expectant eyes, just like a child would with their favorite candy in a store. "How about just one little kiss, huh? to be sure that everything will turn out well, you know, that's very important!”

you should say no, you really should, you don't have that much time anymore and one kiss with satoru easily turns into two, three until you're both out of breath, mind clouded with desire, but the protest dies in your mouth when satoru’s soft lips meet yours.

you were half expecting him to mess up again, just like every time he asked for "just one more kiss", turning his face at the last second for you to kiss his cheek or nibbling on your lips before pulling away completely, but he doesn't do any of that, instead, he kisses you, lips dancing against yours, feeling you, appreciating you.

this time, you're the one pulling him closer, hands on his nape and feeling his skin react to yours. Despite your desperation for each other, the kiss is nothing but slow and gentle, a shy waltz between two lovers. If before you couldn't imagine marrying satoru, now you think that a life without the weight of the ring on your finger, sealing him to you, would make no sense.

The white cloth soon turned red when you wiped your bloody lip over it while you can feel the rest of the pain ceasing through your body as you thought about the hard beating you took earlier when you were bounty hunting. Normally, you wouldn't find yourself in this situation but it seems that today is far from good luck since your partner, Jack Marston didn't make an appearance and accompany you like usual. The outlaw somehow managed to always grab you before you get into any danger but today it seemed like that was far from the case since you looked like the definition of blue and purple with the several bruises across your body.

Those thoughts about Jack Marston and how he would've saved you from getting a beating of a lifetime soon faded as the Chief Marshal thanked you for hunting down a criminal who had a reputation of stealing from men, women and children combined from the last couple of months. Patting your shoulder, the Chief slipped out a forty dollar bill and handed to you along with couple of bandages to fix yourself up.

For a moment, you wanted to scoff at him and remind him that you are completely scratched up and the bandages aren't going to do anything for you, but you quickly paused that thought as you remembered that this is Chief Marshall and you needed to watch yourself good before you end up like the criminals you hunt.

With a nod, you accepted the bandages and the money before you leave the station and weakly pull yourself up on your horse. The pain on your right shoulder feels more severe than your left shoulder and it might take up weeks to heal completely, this thought alone scared you. You desperately needed money to provide and live somewhere before you go bankrupt again, that was the whole reason why you decided to take up bounty hunting as a job, not as a hobby to get extra cash.

You soon grew anxious, worried that you might have to be sleeping on the streets again for at least the third time this year, but walking in the saloon and smelling the liquor in the air put an immediate pause on the thoughts that were swelling in your head.

It was loud, like usual with working girls hovering over several men in different groups, people sitting at tables and gambling their money away, and a familiar dark haired boy leaned against the bar table as he sipped on the whiskey.

"Hey." You called out to the familiar looking outlaw as you walked towards his direction, putting your hand on his shoulder, causing him to look back at you. "Where have you been?" You questioned intently. From the way he was eyeing at your injuries on your face to your pained stance as you tried to lean against the table comfortably - you knew he was more worried than he should admit due to his stoic attitude.

He sneered, trying to hide the fact he was concerned for you, his bounty hunting partner. "It ain't got nothin' to do with you." The young man placed his cup down infornt of you, indicating that you can finish his whiskey - a common bond you would share with him after long days hunting for criminals.

"Yeah? Well, I got my ass beat out there." You comment as you nodded at him before picking up the cup and taking a long sip of your reward, a half drank whiskey cup. Taking in the alcohol felt like heaven - it was refreshing compared to your financial problems you were thinking about before you got here.

"I can tell, you look blue and purple." The gunslinger commented with a sarcastic chuckle at the end of the sentence before looking back at the bartender to order more whiskey for the both of you. His arm slid over your shoulders carefully, making sure to be mindful of the state you were in. Till this day, you don't know how you managed to become friends with someone who had a reputation, considering who his father is and how his father managed to make a name for himself in America and in Mexico - giving the young man a bad look already due to his father's actions and death. Jack was stoic and quiet, hardly ever making any conversations unless you speak to him first, maybe that allured you to continue this relationship with him.

Speaking of relationships, you don't know how you managed to be drinking whiskey with the young man as he held you close to laying in bed with in a rented room right above the Saloon.

"Stop movin". Jack grumbled as you tried squirming out of his death-grip as he pulled you back into his chest so he could hold you closer. Cuddling with the gunslinger was like cuddling a toddler who is crying about a candy they didn't get - he was clingy, grumpy and just wanted your drunk ass to be right next to him.

"Hell- hell nah, your..'razy." You chuckled as you wrapped an arm around him, finally accepting defeat and decided to cuddle him. The alcohol on your breath was quite noticable since you drank way too much for your own good - Jack claimed, despite the fact he didn't want to seem like he cared, like he was concerned about you.

Also, trying to fix up the cuts and small injuries on your body was a pain enough while you were drunk and kept on moving everywhere, Jack swears this might be the last time he even decides to help you.

Jack was far from someone who even expressed any romantic feelings nor a sign of vulnerability after witnessing both his parents death. He was cold as steel, as most stated from the reputation that was surrounding him and his decreased family. But, somehow you managed to break through his cold heart and changed the way he thought about the world.

The guilt that was lingering in his chest only intensified as he had to take care of the small cuts on your body and how you looked like the mixture of blue and purple from the beating you got earlier in the day since the bandages you placed on your blemished skin wasn't tight enough, resulting in the cloth slipping off or becoming loose so you could still feel the sting of the injury any time something touched that part of skin. Maybe if he wasn't too busy drinking, he could've saved you from getting a busted lip. Maybe, if he wasn't so busy as he deemed to be, you wouldn't have been in this condition. Jack Marston repeated in his mind as he was solely focused on your sleeping form.

This whole entire encounter of cuddling with the Marston only flourished the relationship you had with him. He was still a little avoidant, but some days he would ride up to your cabin and act like he needed to borrow something - in reality, he just wanted to see you and that pretty smile that always caused his heart to skip a beat. This new tradition soon became him staying for dinner, then multiple nights, then to the point he was practically living with you since he was doing yard work and helping around your house.

Every night you two would fall asleep cuddling each other - despite the fact he constantly acted like he didn't like you when obviously the blush that was scattered on his freckled cheeks stated otherwise.

The topic of dating and an actual relationship scared the young man. Finding out he had commitment issues was easy to understand since he lost everyone who was dear to him - his father, mother, uncle and he grown up with no friends. After weeks worths of conversations about the topic of being an established relationship, he finally agreed to it and his attachment towards you only grew and grew throughout everyday when you guys became a couple.

The relationship was rocky for quite some time but you were so patient towards him and never tried to bicker at the fact he was on his way to become an alcoholic, instead you would try to understand his emotions and ease him to stop drinking for the night.

When you reasoned that his mustache and his chin hair was too long for your liking and it was irritating you whenever you kissed him, he literally let out a sigh of relief.

He was looking up at you with love and adoration, something he would've denied himself in the past since he never thought he would've been alive due to all the alcohol he consumes on the daily.

Your hands steadily held the shaver to his chin as you glided it down carefully, making sure to not accidentally cut him. The outlaw who was tapping your inner thighs with his thumbs hums everytime you slow down - silently encouraging you that you aren't hurting him. Before you could answer his question, he made himself comfortable around you by laying on your lap, pulling your hand on his head for pats and your other hand with his to fiddle around with, definitely loving this.

'I desire this bouquet!' The strange man exclaimed, with the owner fidgeting nervously "But sir, those are not for sale !" the owner mentioned, trying to reason with this man. Before they could bicker further, they heard the door open with the bells hitting, signaling your presence, you looked at the both of them as they stared right back at you, surprised, but the old man composed himself and welcomes you in the shop, you bowed slightly and roamed around the shop trying to find flowers to your liking, not uttering a word.

You originally planned to offer help but it's better to listen in what the problem is before helping, in the meantime you can also find flowers that you'll buy later.

The old man looked at you before trying to reason with the man again, to not disturb you finding flowers. "Like I said sir, these aren't for sale..." You heard what the owner said as your eyes landed on a certain flower, sighing as you finally found something, you stood up and slowly walked towards the two men, understanding the situation now.

You saw the flower that the strange man wanted to buy and you faced towards him.

"Is there a special occasion for you to buy flowers?"

He laughed humoursly and snapped his fingers, smiling brightly. "There is, pretty lady !"

You chuckled lightly at his response "May I ask what that occasion is? If you don't mind me asking.." looking at him with calm eyes, he looked directly to yours seeing his hazel eyes shining before responding.

"Today is my beloved mother's birthday! And I am here to buy a bouquet of flowers as my present along with my other presents for her!" His voice tells that he really loves his mother and always is grateful to have her within his life. You looked over the flower he wanted, seeing a Yellow Carnation, ah that's why the owner wouldn't give it to him.

"Well, I guess this type of flower isn't fit to be something you'll give to your beloved mother, sir." You spoke, he looked a tad confused.

"What do you mean?" Confused by your sudden remark you explained to him briefly.

"As you can see, Yellow Carnation can mean rejection or disappointment on someone, and I'm sure that's not something you feel towards your mother, am I correct?" You motioned to face him waiting for his answer.

He was quite shocked by this discovery but immediately exclaimed once again "Of course! I do not hold any hatred towards my mother!"

You giggled with his response and looked around the shop to try and find other flowers that is fitting to be a present.. You caught a flower and picked a bouquet of it and gently placed it infront of him.

"I suggest these Pink Carnations instead, it symbolize gratitude, love and respect, fitting to be a present to your mother." You smiled while eyeing the bouquet then looking at him.

He stared at you for a moment, you were sure that you saw his cheeks flush for a moment then turning back to normal, he smiles and takes the bouquet from you.

"I must say, your knowledge about flower symbolism is something very admirable pretty lady !" He laughed cheerfully and faces towards the owner who's been staring at the both of you for awhile now ' I'll get these instead sir!" The owner nodded as the transaction went peacefully.

"You two would honestly look good together." The owner said with a smile on their face, you looked at them, a bit surprised, same goes for the man before you both chuckled.

"You really think so sir?" The man asked before turning back to look at you "Well, I do think of that aswell" He smiled at you making you break your calm facade by being flustered.

He chuckled and took your hand, kissing the back of it quickly and gently let's go of it, making you blush more.

"My name is Ryusui, Nanami Ryusui, may I know your name? Or are you okay of being called 'pretty lady'?" He teased making you chuckle lightly before saying your name to him.

You two went outside the shop, presumably about to get going on your own matters.

"What a beautiful name you have, it is nice to meet you!" He wanted to talk with you more but the conversation gets interrupted by a phone call, he excused himself for a second to take the call and you let him.

It took about 3 minutes before the call ended, you didn't notice that he was finished as you were preoccupied with staring at the towns library ahead, he gently pats your shoulder that surprised you for a moment before facing towards him.

He explained that he had to go because of his mother's party and all of that, you understand what he meant but before you two could go, he wanted to have your number, you were a bit suspicious at first but with your interactions with this man, it gives you the reassurance that you can trust him, you both exchanged numbers and bid farewell to each other. Though the man stopped and looked back at your dainty figure walking away, he smiled and continued to go off for their own matters.

You sighed contently, remembering how you two met, that didn't go unnoticed by Ryusui

"Is something wrong my love?" He asked, looking at your face, you smiled and continued patting his head.

"It's nothing, I just suddenly remembered how we met in the first place." Your husband chuckled and sat up on the couch, pulling your petite figure on his lap, placing his arms around your waist, and burying his face on your shoulder before sighing.

"I'm very delighted to have met you back then, who knew a flower symbolism expert would caught this greedy heart of mine." muttering on your shoulder, you chuckled and looked down, smiling, seeing both of your ring fingers be accompanied by a ring that signifies both of your undying love for each other, this somewhat feels like a dream.

"indeed I'd never thought someone like me would do such a thing" you heard him chuckle before kissing the back of your ear.

"You're too humble my dear, you should be proud to be able to pull such a person like me." He mentioned, while clearing the hair around the back of your neck, he slowly kisses it and returns back to placing his head on your shoulder.

"I remember that time where you confessed to me... infront of a crowd...." He laughed as he remembered that beautiful time.

You two were out in your typical friendly date, ever since you've met in the flower shop, you started to interact more and go out more, probably to a cafe or a restaurant and discuss things, probably work related, personal things, or anything.

While you both were walking towards the cafe that the both of you usually go, Ryusui suddenly stopped with you walking Infront, you noticed him and stopped to look back at him confused.

"Is there something wrong Ryusui?"

He doesn't really respond and just stares at you for a few minutes.

This man has already fell for you since the flower shop incident but he wasn't sure if this is someone he wanted, someone he desires, but at this moment, he made up his mind, all your memories together was something he always cherished and he wants you to be with him and only him everytime you meet up. He smiles brightly before shouting.

"I desire you!"

That was something you never expected him to say, he began to walk towards you slowly, the crowd of people taking a glance or two at them, you knew some were listening but that didn't really matter at the moment. He gently grabbed your hands and holds them softly.

"I desire you, your affection, your attention, your presence, your smile.... and your love."

He looks at you with an endearing face, he is being serious with this, and even if you reject him, he won't stop pursuing you anyway, when there's something or someone that he wants, Ryusui will make sure that he'll get them.

It took you a few seconds to process what is happening, you felt the same way with him and always had, it only started when you got to know each other more, the more you talked the more you fell for him, but you've kept it to yourself until the perfect time comes. 'It seems that time is today' you said to yourself.

You looked at him for a moment, you still couldn't say anything, might aswell show it than say it right? Actions speak louder than words they said.

You slowly lifted your hands to his cheek before pulling him into a kiss, definitely surprising him, as the shock slowly disappeared, he returns the kiss aswell. The crowd around you clapped and cheered for the both of you. Right, you forgot that you were in public, you both pulled away and start chuckling.

"I originally planned it to be somewhere romantic.." He sighed, placing his forehead on yours, you were looking up to him with your arms around his shoulder and his arms around your waist. You giggled at him for his remark.

"I guess you don't like it here then?" You asked as he slowly shook his head.

"I'm very happy that you're finally mine, that's what matters."

That was honestly years ago when it happened but it felt like all of that happened yesterday.

Ryusui looks at you with a loving gaze, if anyone was in the room right now and saw the both of you, they would say that this man is very madly inlove with their partner, which is very very true.

You sighed contently before leaning back on his chest feeling comfortable, he hums as he still wraps his arms around you, not showing any signs of letting you go.

"Time passes very fast huh?" You muttered making him hum in agreement, he's enjoying himself right now by snuggling on your shoulder, his cheeks very flush with a big wide smile on his face, you look back and chuckle at his expression, although you're no different either as your cheeks are flushed aswell.

Turning back to face him, hugging his chest, and enjoying each others presence. You look up to see him smiling endearingly at you, before pulling you into a soft and sweet kiss.

"I love you...my love.." Ryusui mutters, looking at you with loving eyes, you smile brightly at him.

Indeed, he is the greediest man in the world. as he finally captured the heavens to his heart.

"I love you too."

sejanus has come down with a cold but doesn’t want to go home so you bring him to your place with the help of coryo and you both give him cuddles and help him feel better.

angst

your family is forcing you to marry some random rich boy within the capitol and you don’t know what to do because you’re with sej and coryo. so the three of you end up fighting until sej comes up with the perfect solution (you get to come up with the solution ofc lol)

When Daichi first became a cop he hadn’t thought anything of it, it was a nice job that paid well. After you two got married however, was when he started to become concerned.

His head would swirl with thoughts of you getting injured or living alone because he’d been injured with his job, and after you two had found out you were pregnant the fear only grew.

Today however, while he was directing traffic working as a crossing guard, before he could direct any traffic someone had almost run him over. And for a moment Daichi let the shock rush over him before calling in the liscense plate. Thankfully he was unscathed and someone else offered to take over his position.

When he’d gotten home you were next to the kitchen island a big mixing bowl sat infront of you.

You smiled sweetly at him and when he got over to you, he didn’t hug you like normal, he couldn’t what if that guy got arrested and came for you because you were the most precious thing to Daichi.

So for the next month the process proceeded. He’d broken up your schedule so much you’d find yourself crying to sleep as he’d stay in the living room late at night watching trashy television in his recliner which he’d only bought to rock your baby in, you miss the way he’d rub your belly at night helping to soothe the soreness and calm down your baby girl’s sharp kicks to the ribs.

One of these days however, you’d had a little scare, you’d thought you’d had an early contraction thankfully it was just a Braxton hicks contraction, still to be cautious you’d had a friend drive you to the hospital, you never called Daichi, he hadn’t talked to you since last week.

“Y/n? You’re here?” Daichi sighs out in relief as you walk into the house he holds you tight and your brows furrow, you place your hand on his back.

“I was worried” you can see the relief in his eyes.

“You were worried?” It’s than he realizes how horribly he’s messed up.

It took an incredibly long time to forgive him for ignoring you like that but inevitably you did.

When you gave birth to your precious little girl Daichi relized than that while yes his job comes with risks, that everything does even what he thinks will protect his family comes with risks and he’s happy he was able to relize that before it was to late to fix his family.

He smiles softly at his baby who stares up at him with her big brown eyes in her cute little bear onesie he’d boughten.
