Tattoos on the cesarean scar: 17 ideas in case you're considering it
The scar of a cesarean is not a simple mark on the skin; It’s much more than that. It is the signal that the birth of your baby has left and that sometimes removes very deep feelings in women who have given birth in this way .
There are women who perform tattoos on the scar of caesarean section , either because they want to conceal it or, on the contrary, because they consider it a way to beautify it and pay homage to their motherhood. Or maybe, why not, for both.
Hide it or embellish it?
Behind every cesarean scar there is a powerful story . Happy stories, and unfortunately also sad stories, but stories always marked by the great power of the birth of a human being.
Most of the time it is done in a transversal or horizontal cut because it is the most resistant scar and the one that less fibers damage. For aesthetic reasons, the cut is below the bikini line.
Although vertical cutting is discouraged because it cuts more fibers, there are times when it should be practiced in this way, for example when there is placenta previa or when it is necessary to remove the baby as quickly as possible.
A way to reconcile with the brand and heal the wound
There are women who do not like their scar because it is very visible or they do not have any positive feeling towards the brand, and they resort to the tattoo to reconcile with it and see it as a work of art. They want to turn a brand that causes them pain into something nice and symbolic .
There is great debate on this issue, since there are those who believe that women should learn to love their scar , but the truth is that it is a very personal process . Each mother is free to choose the way she wants to reconcile with her scar, with or without a tattoo.
When can you get the tattoo?
You must wait at least one year from the birth of your baby so that the skin is well healed and healthy.
It is recommended that you consult him beforehand with the doctor or the tattooist in case there is any inconvenience in tattooing directly on the scar. In that case, as reported by the boutique tattoo shop Logia Barcelona “you can make a drawing that complements the scar”, although you have to think more carefully what to tattoo and how to integrate it so that it is just as nice and special.
The tattoo on a scar can be more painful because the tissue is even more sensitive, so you should also consider it when making the decision.
Of course, if you are going to do it, make sure it is a site with a good reputation and with all the necessary hygiene and safety guarantees.

#tattoo #covertattoo #scartattoo #tribaltattoo #blacktattoo #hugovalenciatattooist
