Jimin Is The New Black | “Tackle Taehyung” | Part Four
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Slight angst, Smut, Prisonau Rating: M (T For This Chapter) Playlist: http://theonlykwon.tumblr.com/playlist Main Pairing: Vmin Minor Pairings: Namjin, GKook, Yoonseok, Lumin, Baekyeol, Krislay, Kaimin, Markson, Xiuho Synopsis: Jimin and Taehyung have an awkward encounter during exercise in the prison yard, and the petite raven haired inmate begins his work duty. He is introduced to the second most dangerous inmate. A/N: I’ve been inspired by ’Orange Is The New Black’. But because it’s been based on it doesn’t mean the characters or their personalities will be alike to the characters on the show, just the basic outline is the same, so if you have or haven’t watched the tv show, you can still enjoy it :-D hopefully.
Remember, I originally started this fanfiction August of 2016, the characters ages were the age they were at the time I had written these chapters ^_^
Prologue | Part One | Part Two | Part Three | Part Four | Part Five
No matter how many times she has to do it, or how long it would go on for, Seulgi would never get used to sleeping without her fiancee by her side. They had been together for ages, and they had both gotten used to sleeping together, needless to say, Seulgi didn't get much sleep the first night Jimin was away. And it didn't get any better during the day.
She stayed in bed till one o'clock, missing a call from her boss asking where the hell she was and probably to tell her she's fired, and for the rest of the day moped around in her pajamas, makeupless, crying over 'Boys Over Flowers' on the tv. On top of that, she was also so confused. Her mind whirled with questions she was dying to ask Jimin.
'Did you really do it?' 'Why did you do it?' 'Were you really gay?' 'How could you leave?'
'Are you ok?'
She was so worried about him, and if the documentarys about prison life she's watched is anything to go by, then she was right to be. Sure, she was very VERY miffed that Jimin allowed himself to get into this position and had concealed his past from her, but she still loved him with all her heart and soul. She missed him so much and it had only been a day. It made her seem really needy. But they were meant for each other. The house seemed so empty with nobody but her. It was so lonely.
"You can't be alone, especially at a time like this. I'm coming round to see you." Daehyun, one of Jimin's oldest friends, told the woman as they spoke on the phone. Seulgi smiled to herself. She was lucky to have Daehyun, she had grown especially close to him as well. He was such a good friend to both of them.
"It's fine Dae, thank you though but I wouldn't be very good company at the moment." She replied. She could practically hear Daehyun's eye roll from the other side of the phone.
"Look, babe, company is probably the best thing for you right now. You need reassurance you're not alone. I want to be there for you. I won't bring Eunji, it'll just be you and me." He told her. Seulgi sighed. She didn't like the idea of seperating Daehyun and his wife, but maybe he was right?
"Are you sure?" She asked. It only took ten minutes for the brunette to show up at her door. As the two sat in front of the fire, glasses of the red wine in their hands, the inevitable conversation soon reared its head.
"Did Jimin really smuggle drugs?" Seulgi asked out of no where, interrupting Daehyun's fascinating tale of the time he and Eunji got the wrong brand of toilet paper at the supermarket. Evident by the way his warm smile dropped off of his face, he knew what happened. Probably all of it. He sighed and stared at the floor.
"I'm not going to lie to you Seulgi. Jimin has made some very big mistakes. He was young, stupid and in love." He told her.
"With a man." Seulgi added. Daehyun dragged his eyes up to meet hers, only to find hers were glued to her glass of red wine.
"As I said, he made mistakes. He experimented like normal teenagers do." He replied. Her eyes met his. They had no emotion, no feeling. They were stone cold.
"You said he was in love with him. He went to prison for him." She told him. Daehyun sighed, eyes trailing down to the floor once again.
"His relationship with Taehyung was complicated." he replied. Seulgi shook her head.
"Did you know him?" She asked. Daehyung scoffed at the question.
"Ha, yeah, I knew Taehyung." He replied. Boy, did he know Taehyung. How could he forget him?
"Is Jimin gay?" She asked. Daehyun looked up. What had once been expressionless and stoic, hiding all emotion, was now desperate, searching for hope. The brunette sat forward and grabbed the girls hand.
"Seulgi, Jimin loves you. He may be bisexual, or whatever the fuck he is, he may have been in love with Taehyung. But he loves you now. He wants to marry you. He has no intention of being with Taehyung, he's just a messed up part of his life he has no intention of reliving. Taehyung isn't even in the picture anymore. He's probably off in Germany trying to unload some drugs on some idiots or something. You have nothing to worry about." He told her. Seulgi nodded.
"And on Friday, we're going to go and visit him, ok? You and me. This isn't only difficult for us. We need to support him too." She knew Daehyun was right, so why did she keep doubting her fiancee? Doubting their relationship that had been built on lies?
Daehyun stood up. "I'm gonna go make some coffee, we need to sober up." He said. A ghost of a smile haunted Seulgi's lips as the brunette got up and walked into the kitchen.
Two Years Earlier
"Daehyun, this is my boyfriend Taehyung, Tae, this is my best friend Daehyun." Jimin's wide grin beamed as he dragged the brunette over to a tall, handsome man in the middle of the party of people. Daehyun could see why Jimin was so dazzled by the man with the bowl cut and the laid back sense of style, he was flawless. Even Daehyun, who was as straight as unboiled spaghetti, was stunned by the man.
Flashing a wide smile, Daehyun held a hand out. "Nice to finally meet you Taehyung." He said. Taehyung returned the boys smile, only a thousand times more bright and gorgeous then Daehyuns, as he took his hand.
"Pleasure." He replied. Daehyun nodded.
"You know Jimin talks about you so much." He said. Taehyung grinned and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend's neck, staring at him lovingly as Jimin wrapped his arms around the tallers waist.
"I know, he's crazy about me. No surprise really." He replied. Jimin chuckled. He leaned in and kissed the boy straight on the lips passionately. A moan escaped Taehyung's lips as Jimin's tongue entered. Daehyun coughed awkwardly. The two seemed to have forgotten they were in a house full of people celebrating the birthday of a sixty year old judge, who were currently staring at the two making out in the middle of the room.
After what seemed like an eternity waiting for them to stop, the two finally broke for air. Jimin smiled and kissed his boyfriend's nose before finally realising where he was.
"I'm gonna get us all some drinks. Back in a mo." He told them. Daehyun smiled and tried not to make a face when Taehyung patted the boys backside. Sure, maybe he was overreacting, but he was never a fan of PDA. But he brushed it aside. Jimin was happy, and he hardly knew Taehyung. No need to go over the top about their over affectionate ways. They were still in the honeymoon phase.
"Thank you for the invitation, this partys jumpin'." Daehyun couldn't tell by Taehyung's tone of voice whether the boy was being sarcastic or genuine as he broke the silence between them. He didn't think an eighteen year old man like Taehyung, who looked like someone more used to partys with ear drum bursting music, strobe lights and boat loads of shots being thrown down his throat by a huge, six pack clad man through a funnel, not partys filled with stuck up men in gods waiting room. But, Daehyun decided to take him seriously.
"Yeah, thank you for coming. I thought this would be insufferable without Jimin, and it would be a perfect oppertunity to meet you finally." He explained. Taehyung nodded.
"So, you're Jimin's best friend huh?" Taehyung spoke up. Daehyun smiled and nodded.
"Yep. We've known each other all our lives." He replied. Taehyung grinned.
"That's cute. He's amazing isn't he? I've never been with man quite like him." He said. His eyes wandered over to the brunette pouring three glasses of Chardonnay. The strongest thing he could find. Daehyun followed Taehyung's line of sight over to his friend.
"Yeah, he's really something." He replied. Taehyung turned back to Daehyun. His lips twitched into a smirk as he looked the boy up and down.
"I hope I don't have any competition." He said. Daehyun frowned.
"Sorry?" He asked. Taehyung shrugged, his eyes travelling over the boys shoulder to his boyfriend once again.
"Well, Jimin is sexy as fuck. I need to make sure nobody has his eyes on him." He replied. As he realised what Taehyung was talking about, Daehyun's eyes grew ten times wider then they were before as he tried to conceal the amused smirk on his face. How could he have gotten such a notion?
"What?" He asked. Taehyung grinned.
"You know what I'm talking about." He replied. Daehyun shook his head.
"No, I'm not...no. I'm straight." He told him. Taehyung reflected the elders wide eyes.
"Straight? Really?" Daehyun nodded. "What? So you've never sucked a dick before?" He asked. Daehyun shook his head, causing Taehyung's lips twitch up in a confused, yet amused way. "Never gotten fingered?" Daehyun cleared his throat. Taehyung's bold line of questioning was totally innappropriate any time of the week, let alone being surrounded by a party of people and if you've just met. Taehyung hummed. "Who woulda guessed?" He asked rhetorically. He continued to stare the boy down. Daehyun frowned. What was this feeling building up inside of him as he stared at the boy?
"I have a girlfriend you know." He told him. Taehyung raised his eyebrow, his smirk growing wider.
"You don't say." He replied. Before Daehyun could say anymore in his defense, Jimin returned with the glasses of wine, capturing Taehyung's attention. "Hey Jimin, did you know this guy has a girlfriend?" He asked. Daehyun shook his head in disbelief as Jimin grinned and nodded.
"Oh yeah, straight as an arrow." He said. Taehyung grinned and snaked an arm around Jimin's waist.
"Yeah but so were you baby." He replied in a low voice. Jimin chuckled and pulled Taehyung closer so the tips of their noses were touching.
"Until you tempted me to the dark side." he replied. The brunette giggled before Jimin caught his lips in a kiss. Or what Daehyun could guess was a kiss. Looked more like their were trying to eat each other. As they broke the kiss, Taehyung put the glass of wine down.
"I'm gonna go to the little boys room. Cheap wine just goes straight through me, you know?" Taehyung said with a chuckle. Daehyun scoffed. Seriously? Cheap? This shit cost more then Daehyun's apartment! Jimin hummed.
"Oh of course, the bathroom's just down the--"
"It's ok baby, I'll just ask that slut over there. Jesus, desperate much? And what the fuck is she wearing? That skirt looks like it's gonna tear with the pressure from those chicken legs." He said. He laughed at the woman stood the other side of the room speaking to two old fogies. Unfortunatly, he was the only one who found it funny. Daehyun on the other hand, was not amused in the slightest. Jimin's eyes were glued to the floor.
"Actually, Tae, that's...um...Daehyun's girlfriend. Eunji." He told him. Eyes wide with disbelief, Taehyung turned to his boyfriend, before they darted to Daehyun, who was seething with rage. Taehyung forced a smile as he stared at the floor.
"I'll try and find the bathroom." He replied. After passing the glass of wine to his boyfriend, He turned and wandered into the crowd. The feeling in Daehyun's stomach and mind only increased. And that's when he realised what it was.
He hated Taehyung.
“I can’t believe you went to Jiyong yesterday.” Jimin rolled his eyes. Hoseok hadn’t stopped going on about Jimin visiting the orange haired dealer since he had told him about it. He knew Hoseok wouldn’t be happy about it, but he expected him to have shut up about it by now, when the next morning had rolled around and everybody was pouring onto the large exercise field in the Bangtan excersize uniform of track suit trousers and a polo shirt with long sleaves, inmate written across the back in big black letters.
“Look Hoseok, I’m fine. He seems a bit shady, but he let me my said he can get me my phone by today!” He told him. Hoseok rolled his eyes.
“I don’t think you should rely on him, you can survive without your phone!” He told him. Namjoon rolled his eyes and placed his hand on the boys shoulder.
“Ugh Hoseok-hyung lighten up, you sound like one of those god awful PSA’s.” He told him. Hoseok put his hands on his hips and glared at the blonde until the younger moved his hand off of the boys shoulder.
“I’m just glad I get to speak to Seulgi again, I miss her so much already.” He said. Namjoon smiled, but his attention was soon caught by something over Jimin’s shoulder, and the smile was wiped right off of his face. Before he new it, everybody around Jimin was staring at something behind him with wide eyes, their jaws dropped to the floor.
Jimin frowned, but as he turned, he finally realised what had gotten everybody so dumb.
Taehyung strut out of the prison wearing the same Bangtan exercise uniform, but the sleeves of his polo shirt were ripped off, leaving the top half in a white clad vest, and his long tracksuit trousers that looked two sizes too small were ripped into shorts that drew attention to his perfect round ass. His bold choice of wardrobe coupled with the strawberry lollipop that hung out of his mouth made all of them drool.
He wouldn’t admit it, but even Jimin’s mouth dropped at the sight of the boy. He looked stunning.
Taehyung smiled as he walked up to the four boys.
“Hey guys, what’s up?” He asked. All of the boys blinked in awe, jaws still dropped to the floor. Taehyung frowned, it was like he hadn’t said a word.
“Ok guys gather round!” All the guys managed to tear their eyes away from the blonde and turned to Siwon, all except for Jimin, but the blonde didn’t notice his lingering eyes and followed everybody else to Siwon.
"Ok everyone, today we’re gonna be playing a game, it’s the wardens idea of stopping violence between inmates or whatever, we’re going to play Rugby today. How’s that?” He asked.
“Sucks.” Siwon glared at Seungri, but continued.
“Before we begin, we’re gonna go through the basics, and the rules. Number one, no violence, we tackle, and that’s is it, no punching, kicking, scratching, you’re not little children. Two, no cursing.”
“Isn’t that a bunch of shit.”
“Hey! I mean it Jackson, or I’ll scrub you mouth out with fucking soap. Got it?” The blonde rolled his eyes, and Siwon continued.
“I’m going to show you how to properly tackle.” His eyes scanned the group of inmates for a victim.
“Taehyung, come here.” The blonde sucked the lollipop in his mouth as he dragged his body lazily to the front and stood next to the tall guard. Siwon held his hand out.
“Lollipop.” Taehyung stared blankly, a bored expression on his face as he stared back at the man. After a short staring contest, Taehyung pulled the lollipop from his mouth and placed it, saliva coated side first into Siwon’s open palm. The guard rolled his eyes and pulled the sticky lollipop off of his hand.
“Thank you for that Taehyung.” He replied. The blonde smirked, hands on his hips. Siwon turned back to the prisoners.
“Can I have a volunteer to tackle Taehyung?” In a flash, all the hands flew up. Taehyung grinned to himself, until he saw the one person who hadn’t raised his hand. Unfortunately, that was the person Siwon chose.
“Jimin.” The raven haired man stared at the guard with wide eyes. He hadn’t put his hand up, why was he chosen?
“I’m good.” He replied quietly. Siwon chuckled.
“I’m not asking, come here.” He ordered. The petite boy met Taehyung’s eyes for a second. Looks like he had no choice. He sighed and dragged his body to the front next to Siwon. The guard moved the two a couple steps away from each other before clapping his hands.
“Ok, Jimin, tackle Taehyung.” He ordered. Jimin stared at the elder with wide, concerned eyes.
“I’d rather not.” He replied. Siwon rolled his eyes.
“Jimin, tackle Taehyung. It’s just a demonstration.” He told him. Jimin sighed and turned to Taehyung. He held his breath as he ran towards the blonde.
In reality, he didn’t run at all, it was more like a swift, slow jog and when he finally collided with the blonde, Taehyung was knocked a step and Jimin ended up with his arms around his torso in what was more like a hug then a knocking blow.
A few chuckles escaped the crowd, mostly at Taehyung’s unimpressed expression at the action.
“Ok, that’s not quite a tackle Jimin, just try and knock him down, use all your force.” Siwon instructed. He peeled the petite boy off of the blonde and placed him where he was before.
“Try again, this time try a bit harder, use all you energy and force.” He told him. Jimin nodded, a little unsure, but as he stared back at Taehyung, for some reason, a feeling began to spark inside him.
“I’m Taehyung by the way”
“You’re gonna be ok, ok?”
“What are you trying to say?
“Just focus on me.”
“I need a favor.”
“It’s not gonna be a lot, we’re going to be perfectly fine ok?”
Before he knew it, Jimin was screaming and running towards the blonde, ready to take him down. Taehyung’s eyes widened at the speed of the boy, and the furious expression on the boys face.
Jimin jumped on him, causing him to topple onto the ground, Jimin on top of him. As they hit the ground and Jimin straddled the blonde, Jimin returned to reality and realised what he had done. He stared at Taehyung lying breathlessly underneath him.
“I love you Park Jimin.”
Taehyung seemed as dazed as the elder, but a smirk quickly grew on his face.
“Doesn’t this bring back memorys?” He asked. Jimin couldn’t help but let out a chuckle and he pushed the boys face playfully before standing up and finally noticing all the inmates wide eyes, filled with fear and surprise. Who knew such a small boy could have such strength and anger in him?
“Umm...well... Well done Jimin, you can both return to your places now. Jimin smiled awkwardly and bowed before returning to his place in the crowd, Taehyung following. Jin blinked.
“Are you ok?” He whispered. Jimin smiled and nodded.
“Perfectly fine.”
Kai has never been accustomed to manual labor. You can tell that just by one glance. Hell, he didn't even know how to make soup for crying out loud. But, of course, the geniuses at Bangtan thought locking the inmates up like caged dogs wasn't punishment enough and decided that during the week, they had designated jobs that the security guards couldn't be bothered to do.
Kai was stuck on electrical work, working in a team to fix all the things that the other inmates had managed to fuck up. Why are serial killers and drug dealers so damn heavy handed? He was annoyed he was forced to do work, but glad he was on electrical. Mostly because it was monitored by Security Guard Do Kyungsoo. The brunette had a soft spot for the guard, and he was sure Kyungsoo liked him to. He could practically do anything they wanted during work, all of them could.
So Kai would pretend to look busy while he passed notes with the blonde to his left. Kai's wandering mind was brought back to reality by Taemin nudging him ever so slightly and holding out a neatly folded piece of small paper. Kai took it and unfolded it.
So then the penguin said, "He's not an Eggplant, He's retarded."
Kai snickered at the conclusion of his best friends joke. But before he could scribble a reply, the door swung open. Panting heavily, Jimin ran in.
"Late." Kyungsoo tone voice made Jimin gulp. The younger bowed to the guard.
"I'm sorry, I got lost on the way here." He explained. Kyungsoo scanned the boy up and down before nodding.
"Don't worry, just stand at a desk and try to fix whatever’s in front of you." He told him. Bowing once more, Jimin moved to the first free desk in between Kai and another man with shiny brown hair. Kai scanned the new boy up and down, taking in the sight of the untouched new meat. Until he felt another piece of paper being pushed in between his fingers. Kai opened the note. The handwriting was Taemin's, but frantic and shaky.
Jesus Fucking Christ have you seen that new kids ass?! Holy Shit!
Frowning, he looked up at the blonde, only to find his friend's eyes ten times wider then they were before and stuck south of Jimin's equator. Kai turned. His eyes nearly bulged out of the socket. How was it even possible to have such a perfectly spherical ass? The battered toaster in front of him didn't distract Jimin from registering the two sets of eyes staring at his lower region. Frowning, he turned to the two. It didn't take Kai and Taemin long to realise Jimin had noticed them and they both flashed innocent smiles.
"Hi." Kai greeted.
"Hi." Jimin replied, frown still evident on his face. Kai glanced at Taemin before leaning on the table behind him, crossing his arms.
"My anaconda want some." He told Jimin. The boy frowned.
"What?" He asked. Taemin burst out into fits of laughter, Kai following swiftly after, until they were shut up by Kyungsoo. The man stood to the other side of the new kid rolled his eyes.
"Just ignore them." He told him. Jimin turned to the man. He was unfamiliar to him, someone he hadn't come across in the entire prison, not even in the lunch room. But his smile was warm and friendly and made his prominent cheekbones stand out even more. He was very handsome. If Jimin was still gay, he'd jump on him in seconds.
"I will." Jimin replied shortly. He turned back to the toaster and grabbed a screw driver, but ended up waving it about, unsure what to do with it.
"I'm Kikwang by the way." The man introduced. Jimin stared down at the hand being held out to him. Deliberating whether he should shake the unfamiliar hand, his eyes soon traveled up to look at the mans face again. He had a different look to everybody else in the prison, it was much like Jimin's. Like he was out of place at the prison. He didn't look like the type to stab him with a spork in the middle of the night, so Jimin took his hand.
"Jimin." He replied. Kikwang displayed another wide smile.
"Don't worry, you'll get used to tweedle dum and tweedle dee over there." He told him. Taemin scoffed.
"Excuse you." Kikwang rolled his eyes.
"Aren't you gonna introduce us Kikwangy?" Kai asked, leaning on the palm of his hand, his eyes scanning the raven haired boy up and down. Kikwang repeated Jongin's actions and leaned on his hand.
"I thought I just did." He replied. Kai frowned and stood up straight, but instead of retorting, he turned back to the stunning new kid.
"I'm Kai. And this is my friend Taemin." He replied. The blonde stod next to him smirked and lazily saluted Jimin with two fingers. The black haired man stood at the desk behind them scoffed.
"Friend? You couldn't be more down Taemin's throat." Taemin chuckled lowly and turned to him.
"I didn't hear any complaints last night when you decided to join us Sehun." he retorted. Sehun's lips twitched into a flirtatious smirk.
"Never complaining baby." He remarked. Kai and Taemin both giggled at Sehun's reply. Jimin didn't even want to think of what the three were talking about. A gasp left Kai's mouth as his eyes grew wide.
"Oh! You're the one who hangs around with Taehyung aren't you? Man, that kid is fucking sexy!" Jimin kept his eyes on the toaster, pretending to examine it when he doesn't even have a single clue what to do with it.
"Really, I didn't notice." He replied flatly. Kai frowned.
"Seriously?! How could you not?" He asked, "You're straight, aren't you." Jimin didn't reply and kept his eyes on the item in front of him, but that’s all the response he needed. "Ha, boring." He said. "Even the virginal Kikwang over there isn't straight." Unamused, Kikwang raised his eyebrow.
"Yeah, well. I'm very happy with my fiancee." He replied. Kai turned to Taemin and pulled a very unattractive face to mock the boy. Kikwang smiled.
"Aww that's cute. How long have you been together?" He asked. Jimin smiled at the thought of the woman waiting at home for him.
"Two years. We got engaged last year. It was fast, but when you know you've found the right person, you don't want to waste any time, you know?" He asked. As he spoke, his mind wandered, thinking about his gorgeous fiancee. Her shiny dark black hair falling to her shoulders, her pink lips the colour of cherry blossoms. He couldn't hide the smile on his face.
"She's the love of my life." He said. But suddenly, his mind began to wander further then he wanted it to and he started remembering the last time he called someone the love of is life. And it just so happened to be the blonde devil with the plush pouting lips and the deep baritone voice that flows like wine. Jimin's smile instantly dropped as Taehyung's image popped into his mind. He cleared his throat and returned his attention to the toaster. This didn't go amiss from Kikwangs eyes, but Jimin's mood suddenly shot back up as quickly as it went down when he looked back up at the boy with a seemingly forced smile.
"Do you have anyone at home Kikwang? A boyfriend?" he asked. The elders own smile turned slightly sad at the question and he stared down at the object in his hands.
"No, I'm not even sure if I have a family anymore either." He replied. Jimin's eyebrows knitt together in concern.
"How come? What happened?" He asked. Kikwang looked back up at the boy. The smile had completely disappeared and his eyes were shadowed with remorse and regret, making Jimin regret ever asking. Kai leaned in.
"It's a sore subject. Don't know why, it's not the worst thing anybodys been thrown in for." He told him. Jimin's mind began to wander once again. He assumed Kikwang was like him, normal, sane and totally out of place in Bangtan. But the thoughts Kai was pushing into his head with those words made him begin to question his judgement. Sehun's eyes grew wide.
"Guys, don't look now, but guess who's staring over at us right now." Sehun spoke up. Taemin turned to Sehun.
"Who?" he asked. Sehun smirked and leaned on his palm.
"Our favourite pyromaniac." He replied. Frowning, Kai turned his attention to the pair of eyes belonging to the curtained haired blonde across the room. When he turned back to the four other men, a smirk reminiscent of Sehun's on his face.
"Shit. He's not staring at us. He's staring at the new kid." He said. Jimin's heart began to palpitate.
"What, who?" He asked. Taemin grinned.
"Suga." He replied. Jimin turned to see the piercing eyes from a very familiar face. Suga was sat at the back of the room, wafting the hammer in his hand as he stared at the younger. It felt threatening and was extremely reminiscent of Jungkook's sinister glare yesterday. He felt close to a heart attack.
"Why the hell is he staring at me?" He whispered frantically. Kai shrugged and held up the newly fixed clock in his hands.
"I don't know, maybe he's looking at you and planning his next meal." He replied. Giving him a wink, Taemin burst out into laughter, but Jimin was far from laughing.
"He's a cannibal too?" He asked. Even Kikwang had an unamused look on his face as the joke went over his head. It was obvious they were talking about a different kind of meal.
Kikwang sighed as he threw the inmate grey hoodie over his orange jumpsuit. No one was left in the electrical building, not even Guard Kyungsoo was in the building anymore. Everyone was gone, except for Kikwang and Jimin, who was still obsessing over the broken toaster which somehow had become even more broken then when before.
"Are you sure you don't need help Jimin?" Kikwang asked. Jimin sighed and shook his head.
"It's ok, go on without me." He replied. Kikwang nodded.
"Ok, see you later Jimin." He said before turning and wandering out of the building. Silence took over the room, and for once, Jimin was actually happy to be on his own. It had been ages since he had been alone with his own thoughts. He put down the screw driver in his hand and closed his eyes, savouring the new found peace. Nothing mattered. Bangtan didn't matter, Taehyung didn't matter, Seulgi didn't matter, all the psychos he was stuck with staring at him like he was a peice of meat didn't matter. Nothing. He had felt more at peace then he ever had before.
"Need some help there?" He nearly jumped out of his skin as the voice spoke out and cut through the silence. His eyes shot open and turned to the voice. The same man who had been staring at him all day and making him sweat like a pig was standing the opposite side of the room. His expression was unreadable and plain, but Jimin somehow managed to find it threatening and slightly scary.
"I-I'm fine. T-thank you." He replied. Suga's lips twitched into a smile. It as surprising how friendly his smile came across for such a feared person. For a flash of a second, Jimin actually began to ease at the sight, but only for a second. Suga stepped forward.
"Here, let me help you." He told him. The younger had no time to object, as Suga had grabbed the toaster and one of the tools, immediately beginning to fix the item. He wasn't sure how safe he felt around the infamous inmate who could randomly shank him at any given moment and a bunch of tools that could easily pierce him in multiple places or knock his brains out. It only took the man a second to fix it.
"Done." He said with a smirk. Jimin blinked at the now fixed object sat in front of him.
"How did you do that so fast?" He asked. Suga grinned and shrugged.
"I've been here a while. I've had to fix close to a thousand toasters. It becomes a second nature after a while." He said. His voice was quite soft and full of warmth as he spoke. The younger could feel himself easing.
"How long have you been here?" Jimin asked. Suga hummed and crossed his arms.
"About three years? I have no idea anymore. Time tends to blend together when you're in here." He told him. Jimin sighed and nodded. Suga's eyes glided up and down the petite boys body from his toes to his jet black hair. "You're beautiful by the way." he told him. Jimin was surprised by the blondes words. He dragged his eyes up and eventually, a smile found his face. Suga was also very good looking, he had to admit that, with his fair, pale skin, honey blonde hair that fell over his small, dainty features.
"Thank you." He replied. Yoongi grinned at the floor.
"I'm Yoongi." He said. Jimin smiled.
"Jimin," he replied, "Again, thank you for fixing the toaster for me. I still don't understand how you could've fixed it so fast." Leaning on the desk, Yoongi chuckled.
"Don't worry, I'm not that fast with everything." He replied. Jimin couldn't help himself from laughing as he threw on his grey hoodie over the jumpsuit. How could anyone be afraid of this guy? He was so friendly and kind. Maybe it was the stare that freaked people out.
"I'm sure you're not." He said. He glanced up at the clock. "We gotta go back."
"Which cell block are you in?" he asked. Jimin hummed in thought.
"Cell block C I think." He replied. Yoongi grinned.
"It's an awful long way from here to cell block C. Need an escort?" he asked. Jimin chuckled.
"It's ok thank you though and thank you for the toaster again." He replied. Yoongi rubbed the youngers arm.
"No problem, if you need anything in the future, just let me know ok?" he asked. Jimin nodded.
"Thank you. See you later." He replied. Offering the elder a warm smile, Jimin gave him a bow and walked out of the room. As he watched the boy leave, Suga smiled to himself.
"My Jimin-ah."
When Jimin got back to the main building, everybody was gathering for dinner. So Jimin grabbed a tray of the usual grey mush pile of puke and made his way to the typical table, where Hoseok promptly resumed the conversation from the night before.
"I still can't believe you actually went to the see that snake Jiyong." He said. Jimin rolled his eyes. Going through the same conversation over and over again, it gets a bit repetitive after a while.
"Hoseok, he's fine. Please stop talking about it" He told him. Giving him the deadliest glare he could conjour up, Hoseok began to viciously stab his food with his fork.
"He's a scum sucking, slimy, lying cheat and you're a fucking idiot." He spat. Jimin blinked. He had never heard Hoseok talk like this before. He would ask what the hell Jiyong did to him to warrant such a strong emotion from the kid, but he was too scared to in case the boy may bite his head off. Namjoon sighed and patted the boys back.
"Now now Hoseok, Calm down." He told him. He instantly retreated, holding his hands up in surrender, as Hoseok gave him a look like he was seconds away from biting off his head. He soon turned back to the raven haired boy. "You're a fucking moron." He told him, continuing to assault his food with his fork. Jimin rolled his eyes once again.
"Jiyong is good, I'm sure he could get you your phone." Jin chimed in.
"Yeah, he said he would but I haven't seen him at all today." Jimin said. Namjoon scoffed.
"Jimin, he's not gonna just hand you your phone in the middle of the prison swarming with security guards." He told him. Suddenly, a package was dropped onto the table in front of Jimin, like it was falling from heaven.
"There ChimChim, you're hooked up." Jiyong told him as he leant on the boys chair. Jimin's eyes widened. He wasted no time tearing open the package. When he reached in, he pulled out a shiny IPhone.
"Oh my god! It's my phone!" He exclaimed. Jin leaned into Namjoon.
"You were saying?" he asked. Namjoon pushed him away and stuffed his face full of the mush on his plate, causing Jin to laugh. Jimin looked up to the orange haired man, beaming with happiness.
"Thank you so much Jiyong!" He said. Jiyong ruffled the boys hair.
"No problem Jimin-ah, if there is anything you need, I'm always happy to help you." He told him. Hoseok looked up, burning holes with his glare.
"We don't need anything from you thank you Jiyong. Move along." He growled. His lips twitching into an amused smirk, Jiyong raised his eyebrow.
"Ouch Hobi, why so cold babe?" he asked. Hoseok scoffed and decided to fill his mouth with food to stop himself biting the mans throat off. Jimin was still gazing down at the phone in his hands.
"I'm so happy I have this, now I can talk to Seulgi. I miss her voice so much. I'm gonna call her as soon as I get back to the cell." Taehyung looked up as he munched his food. Now Jimin has his phone, that means he'll have to put up with his lovey dovey conversations with his perfect, flawless, amazing fiancee. Oh joy.
"Jimin." Jimin looked up as the voice spoke out. Yoongi was smiling down at him as warmly as he had in the electrical room. The others suddenly became quiet, including Jiyong. Jimin, on the other hand, returned the boys smile with ease.
"Hey Yoongi hyung. What's up?" he asked. Yoongi smiled. From the pocket of his grey hoodie, the blonde pulled out something wrapped in a tissue.
"I managed to get a piece of cake from the kitchen, I thought you might want it." He said. The elder put the peice of cake wrapped in tissue onto the table in front of him.
"Aww thank you so much Yoongi, thats really sweet of you." He replied. Taehyung stared at the boy. Jimin may be as blind as a bat, but he knew exactly what he was up to. Maybe Hoseok wasn't completely off the mark when he said Jimin was an idiot. Jiyong smirked.
"Hey Yoongi." He said. Yoongi dragged his eyes off of his new friend and up to the ginger. His smile instantly disappeared, and with a glare, he left without a word. Jiyong shrugged and turned his attention back onto the group of friends. Jin raised his eyebrow as Jimin began to unwrap the cake.
"You might wanna check that for anything suspicious. Bastard could've injected it with poison for all we know." He told him. Jimin frowned.
"I don't know why you guys dislike Yoongi, he's really nice when you get to know him." He told them. Namjoon scoffed.
"Suga isn't nice, he's a fucking psychopath. If it weren't for the fact he's never actually killed someone, he'd be exactly like that nutcase Jungk--" Namjoon immediately shut his mouth and stared down at his food. Jin's eyes grew wide, and copied the action. All because Jiyong was standing there, eyebrow raised, completely unamused. Just as Suga had done, Jiyong kept his eyes on the tall blonde as he walked away without a word.
As soon as he was out of earshot, Jin hit the younger on the arm harshly, causing Namjoon to yelp out in pain. "What the fuck were you thinking?! Jiyong was right there!" He yelled, voice lowered slightly in case Jiyong could still hear them. Namjoon shrugged. He was still trying to calm himself after basically begging the man to have him killed.
"I'm sorry, I totally forgot he was here!" He replied. Their attention quickly turned back to Jimin, who was eargly sticking a tiny peice of the cake into his mouth.
"You're not actually eating that are you?" Jin asked. Jimin frowned.
"You don't think I would let a piece of cake go to waste because of your unjustified paranoia." He retorted, mouth full.
"It's justified, believe me." He told him. Jimin shook his head and stuck another peice of the cake into his mouth.
"I don't see why you guys are so paranoid of everybody. First Jiyong, then Yoongi, why do you believe everybody is out to get you all the time?" he asked. Hoseok sighed.
"Look, Jimin, you're a good person, you're kind and trusting, but you need to remember exactly where you are. Not everybody is like you. Most of these people are in for murder, or rape, or doing meth, some are even in the mafia. People who are kind and trusting of everybody they come across don't make it in this place. You need to keep an eye out or you'll end up with a knife in your back. Yoongi is a psychopath, he burned down a fucking building, Jiyong ran an international drug cartel and has probably murdered people in the worst possible ways imaginable. You need to try and stay as far away as you can from people like them. We're just trying to protect you." He told him. Easing up, Jimin smiled and nodded.
"Thank you, I know. But I think I can make my own judgement about people." He told him. Surrendering, Hoseok shrugged and continued eating the food. Silence took over the table.
"So, hows the cake?" Namjoon asked. Jimin smiled.
"Tastes like sandpaper." He replied.
"I miss you so much baby." Jimin cooed as he lay on his bed speaking on the phone to his fiancee. Taehyung's glare was so intense, he looked about two seconds away from shooting red lasers from his eyes. He was sat on the end of Hoseok's bed as said goofball was lying on it, book in hand. The two had had to endure what seemed like an eternity of Jimin's giggles, the 'I love you's' and 'I miss you's' and the blonde was about three more 'I love you's' away from puking his dinner up.
"You and Dae and coming to see me Friday? I can't wait. Will you wear that nice black dress for me? You know, my favourite?...Ah babe, I love you even more." Did I say three more? I meant one more away from puking. Taehyung had suppress his gags as Jimin continued to chuckle away at his future wife. But he couldn't help but feel sightly sad by it as well. He remembered when Jimin used to talk to him with that tone, loving and warm. The love evident in his eyes, the way they would turn into crescents when he laughed that melodic laugh of his. His kisses with that soft lips of his. Taehyung missed everything.
"Wow, it's really coming down out there huh TaeTae, wander if this place'll get flooded." Hoseok said absently as he stared up out of the window at the rain falling from the sky at a fast pace. Taehyung hummed. He wasn't paying attention to the boy, his mind was completely on Jimin, who was continuously laughing at something Seulgi said that was just oh so funny.
"Ok, sleep tight baby. See you tomorrow. I love you. Byyyyyyye~" Jimin said. Sighing blissfully, he hung up the phone and held the phone to his chest. Hoseok smiled.
"So, hows your lady friend?" He asked. Jimin grinned to himself.
"She's perfect as usual. I'm so glad she's ok." He replied.
"She's coming tomorrow for visitation?" Hoseok asked. Jimin nodded excitedly, and Taehyung wanted to see if he had enough time to run to the nearest bathroom and hurl.
"Yup, Seulgi and my best friend Daehyun." He replied. Hoseok awwed.
"Lights out!" Security guard Siwon called out from down the hallway. Jimin hid his phone under his pillow and pulled the sheet up to his chin. The grin had not left his face since he hung up the phone. Talking to Seulgi just made him feel so much better. Not that the guys weren't company enough, but it's nice to know that he stll had a life outside these prison walls. Taehyung sighed and stood up from the bed.
"Hey Hobi, you got an extra pillow I could have? Mine's as hard as rocks." He said Hoseok smiled and nodded. He began scrambling for the extra pillow he managed to smuggle from a different cell and passed it to the boy. Suddenly, a loud rumbling sounded from outside and Taehyung froze on the spot, pillow in hand as he stared out of the window. Jimin shot up, grin long gone.
"What was that?" he squeaked out. Hoseok was slightly perplexed by the boys stunned, slightly anxious facial expression.
"I think it was thunder and lightning. The weather man said it was probably gonna happen today." All the colour drained from Jimin's face as worry clouded his eyes. Taehyung turned to see the utterly petrified look on the boys face.
"..Thunder and...light--" A flash of light struck through the sky and Jimin nearly jumped out his skin. Taehyung dropped everything and rushed to kneel in front of him.
"Jimin, calm down, look at me." He told him. Alarmed, Hoseok sat up in the bed.
"What's wrong with him?" he asked. Taehyung kept him focus on the boy who had began to physically shake, tears welling up in his terrified eyes, as another rumble came from outside.
"He has Astraphobia." He told him. Hoseok frowned.
"Huh?" He asked. Taehyung rolled his eyes.
"He's scared of thunder and lightning." He replied. As another flash of light lit up the room in a blink of an eye,. A tear began to roll down the raven haired boys cheeks and the blonde immediately brushed it away. Taehyung pulled him into a hug, blotting his tears with his jumpsuit.
"Listen to me Jimin, you're going to be fine. You have nothing to be afraid of. I'm here. I'll protect you." He told him. Eventually, Jimin found himself wrapped his arms around the younger tightly. He soon forgot all about the storm brewing outside.
Half an hour after the storm, Jimin finally calmed down and had fallen into a peaceful sleep. Taehyung was lying in the bed next to him. His fingers brushed through the boys jet black hair comfortingly slow. Jimin always looked so beautiful when he was sleeping. He was so peaceful. His features were so delicate. Taehyung had missed seeing them so much. Hoseok couldn't help but admire the way Taehyung had managed to calm the younger down so quickly after such a severe panic attack.
"How the hell did you manage to get him to sleep?" He asked, sounding like he was talking more about a two year old kid rather then a 20 year old felon. Taehyung smiled, letting his fingers glide across Jimin's soft cheeks, loving the way the youger stirred and smiled in his sleep.
"I've done this before." He replied.
Two Years Earlier
Taehyung closed his eyes and basked in the feeling of the cold rain hitting his face lightly.
"Tae, stop, you're gonna get a cold." Jimin told him as he wandered out of the restaurant. Taehyung sighed, defying his boyfriends orders.
"It feels so nice though." He told him. Jimin shook his head.
"Well, when you get pneumonia I'm not going to fucking help you ok?" He told him. Grinning, Taehyung turned to him and wandered over to him, wrapped his arms around his neck.
"How about we dance in the rain, like in the movies?" he asked. Jimin chuckled.
"No chance." He replied. Taehyung pouted cutely.
"Why not baby? It's romantic." He told him. Jimin rolled his eyes and wrapped his arms around the boys waist.
"Yeah, like in the movies. I swear, the two in the notebook got hypothermia after that. Ok? It's not romantic, it's stupid." He told him. Taehyung chuckled.
"You're such a boring bitch baby. Wheres the romance?" He asked dramatically. Jimin grinned.
"Romance is in the warm apartment, in front of the fire with a hot cup of coffee." he told him. Taehyung pouted once again and Jimin let out a sigh. "Let's get back to the apartment. We'll curl up by the fire, put on whatever film you want and I can feed you chocolate. Romantic enough for you?" he asked. Taehyung giggled. He had to admit, that did sound more appealing. The rain was growing worse and he was beginning to get cold.
He shrugged. "It'll do, for now." He replied. Jimin chuckled. He leaned in and pressed his lips against the others. Letting a moan slip, Taehyung tilted his head as Jimin coaxed his mouth open with his tongue. But soon, Jimin pulled back and brushed the boys now drenched bowl cut out of his face.
"We should go. It's getting worse. I don't want my baby to get sick." he told him. Taehyung grinned at the floor. Jimin put up the umbrella in his hands and held it over his boyfriend's head. Entwining their fingers, the two wandered down the street.
"Ugh. I hate rain. Why did we have to go out on the one day of the year there’s been a storm in three years." Jimin groaned. Taehyung sighed.
"I think it's nice. Refreshing," He said, "cleansing us of our sins." Jimin raised his eyebrow.
"Baby, there isn't enough water to clean you of the sins you committed last night when we were in bed, let alone the rest of them." He told him. Taehyung smirked.
"I didn't hear you complaining." He replied. Jimin chuckled. Suddenly, a flash of light made Jimin freeze on the spot. Taehyung looked around.
"Ahh, lightning. What do you know, the weather man actually got something right for once." He said. He suddenly stopped when he realised his boyfriend, who's grip on his hand had become tighter, had stopped walking altogether.
"L-lightning?" he asked. His eyes nearly popped out of the sockets when a loud rumble echoed through the seemingly empty streets. Taehyung turned to his boyfriend properly, face clouded with concern.
"Whats wrong Jimin? Are you feeling ok?" He asked. Another flash of lightning struck the ground and Jimin dropped the umbrella. Taehyung noticed how the elder had begun shaking.
"I-I'm scared..." Jimin mumbled, voice no louder then a whisper. Realisation suddenly hit the boy.
"Oh! My god! Umm...The car isn't far from here, you'll be safe there ok?" He asked. Jimin turned his boyfriend, tears running down his cheeks. He slowly nodded and Taehyung gave him a reassuring smile. The younger pulled his boyfriend the few streets to the car, giving him reassuring words when there was another strike of lightning or another rumble of thunder and the elder let out a whimper in response. He quickly pulled the boy into his used Volvo.
"You're safe now baby ok?" He asked. Jimin was still shaking in his seat. The tears kept flowing rapidly. Taehyung sighed. He hated seeing his boyfriend like this. He would never be used to seeing him like this. He was usually so happy and cheerful, it was heartbreaking to see him breaking down like this. The younger cupped Jimin's face and stared into his terrified eyes.
"Jimin, listen to me, you're going to be ok, ok? You're with me, I would never let anything bad happen to you ok? You're safe." He told him calmly. Jimin blinked back at him.
"Really?" he asked. Taehyung smiled reassuringly and nodded.
"Of course, the car is the safest place during a thunder storm. Ok?" He said. Jimin sniffed, and his tears finally stopped, but he still jumped when lightning struck again. Taehyung stroked the boys face with his thumb soothingly. "You're fine. Just focus on me ok?" he said, gently. A smile gently stretched across Jimin's now eased face.
"Easy." he replied. Taehyung giggled before Jimin leaned forward and smashed their lips together. Taehyung moaned and allowed Jimin's tongue in, deeping the kiss. Neither of them paid any mind to the many rumbles and flashes above them, they didn't even notice that the storm had finally come to an end. All they knew was each other. And that’s all they needed to know.
