Happy Belated 3rd Birthday to our precious “Black Messiah” ✊🏿🙌🏾🎊! 1 of my fav Sagittarius in the Multiverse, lol! There really aren’t words or enough expression for how I feel about this DREAM COME TRUE in all its ways. For how I feel about realizing the dream of collaborating w/ @dangelo_music & bringing this sacred & ordained artwork/ministry to life with D’Angelo & The Vanguard. For the charge & this gospel that the Almighty blessed us with to give to the World, the Multiverse. For the love we feel for the people & the love that we created, generated this sanctified piece of art & history with. For making statements & being revolutionary (particularly in the music) at a time when it was not as easy, accepted, or popular or trending to do so. And for our colleagues and the world to feel it so much we received 2 of the industry’s highest accolades for taking a chance in the name of making change for the better & inspiring love & justice. And. For in addition to saying what needed to be said & also “giving the revolutionaries something to come home & make love to” as my sustah @sugaleebuckwild says. I am so honored and humbled that #DAngelo asked me to write w/ his GENIUS self, make music with him and such AMAZING musical and engineering gods that have become some of my most precious bredren.
